Y2Kyoto: Up In Smoke

Oh, there’s lots of people who have plenty to show for it — it just happens none of them are us.

But wait! There’s more!

Because… one must keep the benefactors happy.

  1. Demand for clean energy? Who’s demanding that? It’s expensive and unreliable. Who in their right mind pays MORE $$ for intermittent service?

Choke on your woke “green” nonsense.

    1. There is no such thing as green energy Kenji, you and I and many others understand that. All forms require inputs involving fossil fuels and extensive mining and smelting. There sure are a lot of dumb people out there. Just an aside, back when I went to school ALOT meant many and a lot meant a piece of land, my computer refuses to spell ALOT without capitalizing it, it always changes lower case to a lot.

      1. You’re misremembering Old White Guy. Alot has never meant many. A lot means many. It also means a chunk of land. Clue number one is that spell checker marks “alot” as an error. If that’s not enough for you, look it up in the dictionary.

        1. Sorry sport, my knowledge of the English language predates computers. What I said stands. I do not misremember.

      2. Bingo Kenji…as it ever was and likely ever will be.

A Few yrs ago, I read an excellent article by a USN Captain Kiefer on Bio-Fuels. He spent considerable time looking at the Economics. The USN was at the time looking to see if it could utilize biofuels to power ships.

        The End result was this:
        ROEI (Return on energy invested)
Using total btu’s per bbl of oil as the measuring stick.

        BioFuels: 1.3:1
        Fossil Fuels: 8:1

Although BioFuels were possible, the other side of the issue was that in order to go full bore meant losing a singificant quantity of “feed in” product that would have gone to food production, thereby driving up food prices.

Ya want “RENEWABLE” Reliable Power…?? the only thing even close is Coal/Nat Gas/Hyro/Nuclear. The rest (especially Wind – Solar), is nothing more than virtue signalling BULLSHIT designed to Enrich the friends of those who hand out the subsidies and does SFA for anyones environment.

  2. Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs, former employer of Mark Carney, is now planning to refuse any more financing to private-sector coal firms, leaving the Chinese government free to snap them up at a fraction of fair value. It’s not the first major global bank to do this, and won’t be the last.

Rest assured that when something is technically possible, and promises to further the Han tribe’s goal of world domination, Beijing makes damned sure it is made financially possible. All China’s major banks are government-controlled.

Once the peoples of the western world take back their sovereign right to issue money and regulate its value from the likes of Goldman Sachs, you won’t hear another word about how the West is on the brink and China will soon overtake the West—much less about climate change.

  3. Canadian federal agency invests $141M in China’s coal industry.

I expect the Conservatives to be right on this

  4. Yes, the conservatives who wanted Andrew Scheer to be PM, will be happy to multiply that paltry Liberal investment by at least a factor of 65,000,000,000,000,000,000, …

Have you sent your Tithe to the Church of Woke for this week? You go straight to hell if anyone ever calls you a racist; unless you are keeping up on your Climate Indulgence payments…

  5. The government is well aware it is a “take the money and run” scam. It is the useful idiots who don’t understand this that are making it happen.

  6. Even under Harper the ConCommie, Canadian Taxpayers were still handing over 50M every year in Foreign Aid to China…Look it up. It may have changed you might have to look under CIDA etc….
