  1. Yes, it coulda been worse. Scheer might have appointed Maxime Bernier as his Number Two. It would have been appropriate too.
    After all, even 4 Year Olds know what Number Two means. -4 YearOld at Shopping Mall, “Mommy, I gotta go Number Two!”-

    Anyway, floor crosser/Liberal paid Dark Horse, same difference.

  2. Does Scheer think this stuff up by himself or does he have really awful interns leading him around thinking that they are intellectually equivalent to PM Butts?

  3. Oh look, an endless supply of fckwits who don’t like social conservatives.

    Well, whatever you want to accomplish, good luck without my donations, without my vote, without any support from me. If any of you haters of social conservatives knock on my door, I am drop kicking you off my front step.

    1. I am not a social conservative but support your right to drop-kick these people; and introduce legislation on a free-vote.

    2. I’m with you, Kevin. The difference between cucks and shitlibs is purely conversational. Screw them, I’ve stopped sending them money too. Betray me, and call me names because I don’t think the rectum is a sex organ? Make fun of my church while you fellate moslems and multigendrered psychopaths?

      Next election, you clowns are on your own. One set of liberal clowns is the same as the other.

      1. “Next election, you clowns are on your own. One set of liberal clowns is the same as the other.”

        Actually, I think they have been on their own at least one election now… Does not appear to be working out so well for them. I mean, they have a leader, who lost to THAT… and they still have that same leader? Kim Campbell is no longer the holder of the “worst campaign in Canadian political history” record. But I hear she is free if they are looking for a new one… They could do worse.

  4. “Is homosexuality a sin?”

    How about, is groping a young female reporter a sin? Is mocking races of other skin colour a sin? Is interfering in a criminal investigation a sin? Is having a pedophile for room mate a sin?

    These are the questions that need to be asked. “Social conservatism” is the straw man.

    1. Yes, it is a sin. But freedom, means being free to sin; it is necessary. If you are not free to be a racist, if you are not free to be a jerk, if you open a business and are forced to serve people you do not want to serve, you do not live in a free society.

      I cannot wait for the day when the first woman is required by law to wax that lady’s testicles. Everyone but me will see it is a big step in Canada’s Great Leap Forward. I will simply continue buying mass grave futures…

    2. Nonsense. What an idiotic statement.

      When the left took aim at the social conservatives the cucks held their arms behind them while the liberals beat them up from the front. When elderly clerics wrote about the evils of homosexuality and lewd pride parades, the left and the cucks mocked them for being prudes. When that didn’t work, they came out with bogus hate laws and censorship. Today it is a crime to not approve of 12 year old boys in drag dancing for gay men at pride parades. Today young mothers take their toddlers to Drag Queen Story Time at the public library.

      Compared to stuff like that… Turdo copping a feel from one of his groupies (who probably a ho anyways)… is pretty small stuff.

      1. You lost. There was much debate and rending of garments over various issues, and you lost every time.

        1. Lost what, exactly?

          Buddy, my faith has survived 1400 years of moslem savagery, Romans, countless tribes of barbarians, socialists and fascists. The kind of blackhearts and cudgels that make you and yours look like a fart in the wind. Our missionaries went into their lands and built churches, schools, hospitals and charities. We built the country you are doing your best to destroy. Our families and communities hold while yours are falling apart at the seams. I dare say we’ll be around when you’ve been kicked to the curb along with the rest of history’s trash. By all means – abort your babies and sell the body parts, sodomize your kids, and do what you’re gonna do. I’ll just sit here eating popcorn – pardon me if I laugh from time to time. We Christians will clean up after you’re gone, we always do…

          I see Alberta has taken the lead in telling the liberals to shove their gun legislation. Can’t wait until the rest of the provinces jump on board. SK will probably be on board tomorrow I should think…

  5. The problem for the Torys is that they can no longer reconcile their Western base of support with Eastern Canadian voters. The old uneasy alliance of social conservatives, fiscal conservatives, big government Torys, old style liberals and disaffected Quebec nationalists no longer holds. The East-West schism is real and the fundamental interests of the communities are anathema to each other. If the Torys give power back to the Red Tories we will see another Reform Party but this time it will be a separatist one.
    Honestly, I don’t really see a path for the Torys to win in Ontario without losing the West.

    1. No one is going to win in Ontario without losing the West. Clearly Liberals have lost the West. I don’t believe any party will succeed in bringing the country together again. The only reason Liberals seem more solid is because of their broad media support. In truth, they are also a much diminished party.

      1. I mostly agree with you, but don’t forget schizophrenic BC, where the votes are all over the place. Being able to point at the Vancouver environs and point out how they vote like the important parts of of Ontario and Quebec is incredibly enabling.

    2. It’s not east west so much as (sub)urban-rural. The rural types need to learn their place, which is the past.

  6. While Liberals like Scheer and his handlers continue to get roughed up and pushed around by the corrupt Poutine Media… Turdhole gets to relax, do some more Meth, read his scripts, (“and those working hard to join the middow clath”) surf with his boyfriend, hit the bong, slam bottles of imported Vodka, etc. etc. etc. Meanwhile the fwench Queerbekers that own and rule over the country continue to sell out its interests to the Chinamen and the Globalist fascists while the corrupt Media lazer focus on the hapless Liberals running the Conservative Party… what a world.

    1. Media and the Liberals are pretending that the divisive last election did not happen, and that it is business as usual. Unfortunately, the country is coming apart.

      1. Once again, a disagreement. It’s not that the election didn’t happen, it’s that He won (note the capital, that’s his self-assessment) so he has a mandate to do unto the unbelievers as they deserve. I really don’t think he’s either smart or informed enough to know that he’s setting the country up to be split up.

  7. WEXIT will run candidates in every riding in Western Canada next election who will only support Western values. That is 102 seats. Where does wannabe Liberal Scheer go then. And the WEXIT candidates will not give one shit what Eastern Commies like or don’t like. Where is your base then CON COMMIES. Scheer and the CONS already endorse and support everything the Trudeau Liberal Commies say.

    1. When Harper formed government there was a concerted effort by CPC HQ to reduce the influence of riding association boards and orgs. I was on our riding board and presented a organization plan for further riding development and organization of youth in the riding. I wanted to start a speakers forum at the local college and do more indepth policy development within the Boards committees. I had challenged the political depth and awareness of our riding members who attended CPC AGM’s. I did not want the grassroots power that had been created by the Reform movement to be turned over to the MP or PMO office.

      Well the loss of that grassroots input happened pretty quickly. My riding development plan was not adopted and I quit. Harper was given to much leeway as he was ‘one of us’. Manning the same thing. What CPC leadership is not realizing is that Mulroney galvanized Western descent and they are repeating his failure. Mulroney won 2 elections with majorities that set records. Like many I voted for him the first time and voted Reform the 2nd time. Westerners will abandon the CPC like they did before. No matter how easterners try to craft the narrative about Wexit it will not work again.

  8. I got two words for those who think that this is a dumb move: John Crosbie.

    Let’s review (1):

    – John Crosbie was kicked out of the Liberal Party of NL by none other than Joey Smallwood himself, who had the former’s seat actually bolted to the floor on the opposition side of the NL House of Assembly (the only opposition member at the time);

    – Mr. Crosbie then went on to become Brian Peckford’s Minister of Finance (NL), Joe Clark’s Minister of Finance and Brian Mulroney’s Minister of International Trade (pushed through the Canada-U.S. FTA); appointed Lt.-Gov. of NL by none other than Stephen J. Harper himself.

    Let’s review (2); a couple of Mr. Crosbie’s most famous statements include:

    – “Pour me another Tequila, Sheila, and lay down and love me again”;

    – “You’re lying, and if you continue to lie, I’ll continue to call you a liar. If you don’t understand English, I’ll get you a version with pictures.” (This happened at Western University, London ON — my alma mater — during a debate with the campus Liberal president, in autumn 1988, during the Free Trade election campaign, wherein the Liberal president asserted that Mr. Mulroney had sold out our health care system — the exact same scare tactic that Jeremy Corbyn in using on Boris today.)

    (Parenthetically, I’d also remind our colleagues here that Winston S. Churchill rejoined the Conservative Party, after being a Liberal First Lord and Colonial Secretary (Middle East boundaries, anyone? Anyone?) during and after the First World War, to become Tory Chancellor — from 1925-1929, I think it was).

    And, I’d add a few more things:

    – I used to like Mercedes’s commentary on CTV about foreign affairs and defence, but this report is just a bunch of hash and rumour-mill stuff (so the Conservatives have a few factions: who cares? So do the Liberals);

    – Ms. Alleslev is a graduate of RMC, having attained the rank of Captain in the RCAF, and worked in the aerospace industry after her discharge (Canada got military procurement problems — particularly, but not exclusively, around, er, aircraft? Anyone? Anyone?);

    – Ms. Alleslev has won two elections in a row, now — once as a Liberal and once as a Tory; Dr. Jane Philpott, reputedly the most ethical of the most ethical in the former Liberal administration, LOST in the riding right next door to Ms. Alleslev’s.

    – Lisa Raitt is gone, having, you know, HUGGED Gerry Butts @ the Justice Committee into the JWR-SNCscam hearings.

    – At any rate, yes, it’s a risk, but I don’t think Ms. Alleslev is any kind of a Belinda Stronach (same riding, actually); and the Tories did elect a Western Canadian caucus chair, so I think it would be, you know, helpful, if the Deputy-Leader were from the GTA and a woman. Plus, I think she was probably recruited to run as a Liberal in 2015 by Andrew Leslie, actually, to give the Grits credibility on the Defence file.

    – Plus, Ms. Alleslev has a lot of information on how the Liberals operate, which we should be eating popcorn over.

    Time will tell, of course, but I’m of the view that this is an inspired choice (and I voted for Max, down the line, for leader).

  9. “Plus, Ms. Alleslev has a lot of information on how the Liberals operate, which we should be eating popcorn over.”
    Unless she was in the PMO, she knows nothing of how the Liberals operate. It’s all run within the confines of the PMO, and all the Liberal MPs just toe the line, or jump when told….
    (Doesn’t look like she provided any insider information during the election now, did she?)

  10. The fact thta he could appoint a Liberal to a significant positioin in his shadow government proves the “conservative” party are jut Liberals in a blue suite. Remembe that and vote PPC.

    1. But she is not a Liberal. She left the Liberal Party. Many Conservatives were once Liberals — including Harper. I think it is petty to continue to paint her as a Liberal.

  11. So what you’re saying is that “Conservatives” from North of the Border have much in common with their Koch-sucking Rove Republican swill comrades from South of same???

    Do you also have an equivalent Canadian Chamber of Commerce to aid and abet them???

  12. Shrug. It was quite evident from the beginning (remember the Paris Climate Accord?) that scheer-the-steer and, with the exception of Cheryl Gallant, his entire flock were infected with yellow fever. So it doesn’t much matter who is standing next to him. They will continue to behave like frightened sheep; they know no other way.

    1. Seriously, right?

      “The CBC, who has always had our best interests at heart, are telling us that God himself, who has actually come to earth in a second coming, and is asking to be our leader, is not electable. We should listen to them! They also say Satan is a way better choice.”

      When you are adopting all the policies of your enemy, don’t expect to ever amount to much.

      If you want to offer something different, then offer something different, like Max did.

      If you want to stand for something, stand on principle; even when you stand alone. Like Max did.

      If you want to be Liberals, then do everything Andrew Scheer is doing.

  13. Putting aside the legit criticism of Scheer for a moment, cause hey it’s not like it’s a liberal talking point or a way to keep attention elsewhere or something like that.
    Just want to congratulate the media for its laser like focus on the current government the same way it did with PMSH for the slightest perception of faux pas. Like how the media is keeping a count of how many days it’s been since parliament has sat.
    Can someone remind me what the burning issue was before the House adjourned back in the spring? Oh never mind just go back to following the lead the media is putting out for you.
    Carry on.

    1. An important point. There must be at least a few knives out for Trudeau? I cannot imagine Liberals with their much reduced numbers and the looming Wexit are a very happy family at this point. Trudeau was a disgrace during the election. That will not have been forgotten. But the media simply chooses to obsess about goings on in the Conservative Party. It really is pathetic.

  14. Every time Kenny or Moe see talk of “Wexit” or some other western creation running in the next FEDERAL election with the purpose of just making a point. They wipe the sweat from their brows.
    Please my friends…do not get sucked into repeating history.

  15. Please don’t misunderstand me. I want Wexit but the path to achieving this is through the provincial scene, not federal.

      1. Yes indeed, with every post you prove that you are. Which begs the question – why do you come here? You don’t ever contribute anything but vitriol…..so why bother?
