  4. the big C can be a bitch, I know from personal experience, so fight on Kathy, and beat the bitch, I did!

  5. God bless you dear Kathy. Never comment but I have followed you since I first heard about your site. My prayers and those of my wife are beseeching the lord to make it possible for you to finish your work on this earth.

  6. Well, that’s good. Congratulations to Kathy and Arni.

Actually, my wife, Luella, had ovarian cancer @ age 7 (seven) — 12-hour surgery in 1972 (UH, London ON), with the surgeons on the phone to Dallas TX through the whole procedure.

    I don’t make s*** up.

Luella gets checked every 3 months for recurrence of cancer — her father died of duodenum cancer in 2000 @ age 62.

And I still love her (loved her from the first time I ever saw her), because there are a whole lot worse things in life than having a great woman who loves you:

  9. All the best for a speedy recovery Kathy. You have a great blog. And just saying – that’s a tough way to get your husband to pick up his clothes. Get well soon.

  10. So many of us have had various types of cancer. Had mine last year with a seemingly successful treatment in March of this year. Keep fighting Kathy and recover quickly.

  11. I nominate Kathy Shaidle to take over commenting on Coach’s Corner for NHL hockey games.

Subtitle it “Five Feet of Fury” ! Elbows… like Gordie Howe was famous for.

Besides, she’ll look good in plaid.

  12. I’ve lost track of Kathy since she and latter I gave up on Taki’s Mag. Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.

  13. Keep those prayers coming for Kathy. She’ll be in hospital for a few days yet. I think she is surprised at how many people respect and admire her.
