      1. You’re offended because the truth is bad enough and doesn’t require exaggeration? Good point.

      2. You, are a fkcuing IDIOT.

BTW … all the big cities where voters are nearly 100% leftist, have their lights on … only the poor deplorables living away from every leftist hellhole had their power cut off … coincidence? Nope.

  1. The only visible light, I am going to assume is Zuckerberg’s or Pelosi’s or some other elite’s mansion. Because it is always carbon free for thee but not for me with them. David Suzuki burns more fossil fuels every year, than the province of New Brunswick, lecturing everyone else that they need to use less.

  2. Good. Good. Wish the photo was real and factual – looks good on them. Pity the photo isn’t big enough to show Venezuela; misery loves company. California is overdue the same creeping Republicanism the rest of the country underwent under Obama, that resulted in Trump. And once the voters get good and sick of never having power because, you know, we’ve got to save the Earth or something, that whole poisonous left-wing structure is going to come crashing down.

We’ll know the change is underway when illegals start moving back to Mexico, and all the homeless leave Frisco.

P.S. The dot of light is actually a wildfire.

      1. – Don’t think so, Kate – that gives-off clouds of blinding smoke, but no heat or light 😉

If it was red, and closer to the border, it would be the taillights of all the cars waiting-in-line at the border to leave California. And best of all, the last one out won’t have to turn-off the lights! =D…………….

      2. Can’t wait until Californians immigrants start burning down, harvesting the Redwoods and stripping to dirt the Sierra forests like their culture does where they came from. Not to mention fine drift net fishing, and eagle killing for feathers.

        Hola!

  3. The incompetence and foolishness that has been demonstrated by the democrats and voters of CA is incredible. We all know what is happening and how the government has been a hindrance. So called green policies are turning CA charcoal black. The inability of power companies to update and repair lines, poor forestry practices and allowing the continuous building in arears known to burn, well, the word for that is insanity. Much like continuing to build on a flood plane and getting wiped out every other year.

    1. Yes but it’s been established – floods on a flood plain is global warming, just like Kilauea burning-down subdivisions in Hawaii. The science is settled, or something.
      /sarc

    2. OWG
Yea…..High River, Alberta, comes to mind. Few yrs ago

Along with the stupidity of the US Corps of Engineers channeling all the flood plain waters of the Mississipi…didn’t that turn out just ducky…??

  4. Don’t Worry!

The urban idiots that voted in the Democrat Fools, Environmental Idiots and Tax Grabbing Crooks still have power. PG&E may be bankrupt and headed for the trash bin, but they know enough to keep the power on in the urban core and for the rich and famous. The power cuts are for the rubes living in the sticks.

The Getty fire that threatened and burned down one neighborhood of the rich and famous was started by an energized (LADWP?) power line and a branch from a tree. They kept their power on, so did South Central.

    1. I had an EVACUATION order on Sunday, because we were directly downwind from a 10ac Fire … started by an EXPLODING PG&E transformer. There were multiple witnesses of the explosion … and pictures. To their credit, our local firefighters set-up downwind to ensure if the fire sparked more fires, they were at the ready.

Nothing like the preponderance of these PG&E sparked fires EVER happened any other time during my 64 years in this declining State.

  5. California is merely ahead of everywhere else. This shit is coming to your neighbourhood. Ecotards are fighting new natural gas hookups. They want everything running only on electricity and batteries. There ain’t enough of that to go around. Not even close, but they’re going to force you to take the medicine even if it kills you.

  6. It makes one wonder if day / night light disturbance causes liberalism. Perhaps California is well on the way toward a cure, albeit unintended.
    More please.

  7. Thinking back to Christmas a few years ago in Toronto when the ice storm shut down our power for 5 days. Walking the darkened streets with candles flickering in the houses or totally dark with the odd crash of tree limbs tearing and crashing into the power lines was just unreal. Add -15c to that and I don’t want to go there again. Glad Premier Ford is in charge and the Liberals are decimated in the province.

    1. Yea…wasnt that fun. 1997-1998 Ice Storm.
Was living in Calgary as I just moved myself leaving th family in Cornwall, Ont. to look or work. Returned for Christmas and nearly didnt make it bk to Calgary due to airport closures etc. 3 days after returning, wife calls me and our back door got kicked in by some young lowlife, stole ’bout 20k worth of stuff…but what really pissed me off, they grabbed my kids back packs and all their VHS tapes, along with a 386 DX60, Pentax Camera system, ALL my Silver coin Collection, a cpl 8ea x 2 sheets of Cdn 2 Dollar bills (mint), US 2 dollar Bills (mint)…Plus the Wifes make up.?? figured right away we were dealing with Beotches.

They got caught, I was informed and immediatley requested 1/2hr in the same cell….fortunately for them, that was not to be.

  8. Well thomtimes electrithity comes from the heart out, and power linths can balanth themselves. Get ready Canaduh, a few more years of Torontos fave Gavin Turdo and this will be here, not because of fires but because of more carbon taxes and the inability to pay the power bill.

  9. I used to think years ago when I read about this craziness the leftist hippies were pushing for ,and always thought people would come to their senses .Well stupidity reigns supreme these days,Eastern Canada votes in a dress up black face PM who has openly broke ethics laws as well as corrupting the justice dept among many other things.California cuts power to millions, their cities are over run with rats, filth, and disease and leftist swine call this progress!!

  10. I have a sneaking suspicion the coming Maunder Minimum may well cull a good number of the progressives among us…. Either that or straight up open warfare.

I was kinda hopin that 1 pinpoint of light mighta been Kenji with a bonfire in his backyard..??

    1. Ha! No, but my home could have been incinerated by PG&E last Sunday (see above).

BTW … when I was 10yo, I used to help my grandfather rake leaves (including poison oak) on his property here in the same town where I live, and burn them in a bonfire … just about THIS time of year. This was on a terrace of land adjacent to creek which ran the length of his backyard. We NEVER sparked a wildfire. Ever. Why? Simple common sense fire safety.

I’m sorry to admit it, but now, this State is filled with numbskulls who have no common sense. And sadly, they all work for PG&E, the CPUC, and every government agency.

The best news to come from these fires!? They’ve destroyed many a Mexican cartel’s pot plantation. Hmmmm … maybe some of these fires are intentionally set?

  11. Where did we go wrong trusting the media and politicians to benefit us not themselves? Where, oh where did we go wrong?

Now we get to do less with lessers. Now everybody gets the very own stress test, courtesy of the Justin Society.

But don’t worry, the lamps of the bureaucratic state and ruling class’ mansions will be continually lit and filled with political lucre while the rest of us burn.

When people hand over the reins of PM to an undisputed incompetent liar, because the other guy didn’t go the gay pride parade, we signal our own doom because we fall for the trivialities of the ruling class. We are not its court jesters, we are the clowns.

  12. I wouldn’t be surprised if that photo was taken a few years from now, B. C. would also be dark except for Lotusland.

At my house in NE B. C., power outages seem to occur rather frequently. I’ve often had to reset all the clocks when I arrive at the house. This morning, we were without power for about an hour. Just over 3 weeks ago during my previous trip, the electricity was off for at least 6 hours because of a line which went down a few blocks away.

One might argue that since the house is located in a remote part of the province, the power can be somewhat unreliable. Baloney. I lived in the vicinity of Brooks, Alberta a long time ago and I could probably count off the number of power outages we had there on one hand.

My house, by the way, is located about an hour’s drive from the Bennett Dam and the adjacent Gordon Schrum power station. Go figure.

But, I’m sure that Lotusland’s power remained uninterrupted.

  13. California has always led the way. Canadian cities aren’t far behind. Kenny just imposed a carbon tax. The institutional left still controls education. The spawn still rules and makes oral noises while Butts’ lips hardly move.

  14. ha ha ha !!!
Im waiting for the ‘life imitating art’ thing.
ha ha ha !!!! ooooohhhhh looks GOOD on ya californicate !!!!!

  15. The need to declare California a hostile foreign nation.

Revoke citizenry and passports, ‘for any that have them’, and build a DAMNED WALL!
