  1. Sorry Doug but the Laurentian Empire is coming to an end. Alberta and Saskatchewan are gone. Have a nice life and good luck forming trade relationships with the new country called Buffalo.

    1. Shove the UNITY SHIT where the Sun don’t shine. Never again. UDI Alberta Go UDI. The only Unity I want is the UNITY of all Western Independence and Separatist Parties. UDI ONLY. WEXIT RALLY AT THE Legislature in Edmonton Nov. 2nd. Get there and demand Unity and a UDI.

  2. What is Ford up to? That’s easy. He wants to be prime minister.

With the Dairy Queen not long for this world, Doug’s the most obvious candidate for the federal Tory leadership. He’s proven he can govern, and hasn’t changed his talking points every few years. With Rob and Doug, what you saw has always been what you got.

Coulda had Max? Sure, and the Tories would have been wiped out east of Saskatchewan.

Doug can sweep English Canada, easily forming a majority without relying on a single Quebec seat. And will.

    1. acanadian, for once I agree with you. what Ford needs to watch his back for, is the CPC, and the unions who just hate him, and andy scheep will fight against Ford for his own skin. scheep is not a leader and never will be one, he does not have leadership qualities..But he is as dumb as a dead pet rock and will stab Ford and canadians in the back for his own benefit. He’s as bad as the Turd

      1. I don’t always have to, Colonialista. Doug, unlike some Toronto politicians I could mention, never seems to have suffered from an easily exploitable Oriental fetish.

Seeing as you raised the issue, though:
Bay Street and Beijing will both fight Doug tooth and nail. He’ll win anyway.

  3. Too late.

It’s not “Clean up the joint or we’ll leave”, it’s “Canada reeks of corruption and voters who willingly vote for corruption, we’re done.”

Socialism is just another form of corruption.
Buying votes from some by stealing from others.

    1. That’s where I’m at, and hopefully a bunch more people are. Trudeau’s Liberals are easily the most corrupt government in Canadian history. He himself has shown himself to be both racist and misogynistic, is probably guilty of several crimes, including sexual assault, and clearly treats the office with neither seriousness or respect, thus disrespecting everyone in the country, alive and dead.

And those fools actually voted for this.

  4. Ford is the head of the PC party of Ont. Progressive Conservative is an oxymoran. Progressive is the hide behind word to cover globalists/socialists/communists. Never turn your back on them or Quebec politicans.

  5. I have been an Ontario Conservative for more than fifty years and I supported Doug Ford for Premier of this Province. However he does not speak for me and a lot of other Conservatives when it comes to national unity within Canadas current version of confederation. If the west were to leave, Ontario would be picked clean by Quebec and the Maritime Provinces as the only way to replace Alberta and Saskatchewan financial largess that they have become so dependant on. Should that situation occur Ontarios only logical choice would be an economic union with the west or the USA.

    1. Ontario decided it would be the centre of the Laurentian Empire playing both ends against the middle. Sucks to be Ontario when the empire collapses and the colonies leave. As a young man I spent a few months in Ontario where I was informed I was not a canadian since I was from Alberta. While that one sunk in I was also mystified between the strange love hate relationship between Ontario and Quebec. Kind of like a nasty domestic relationship that anyone wanting to intervene would meet the wrath of both. My conclusion was then and remains today that canada (the Laurentian Empire) was designed broken and no one wants to fix it. Given that this Albertan is gone. I don’t need to be a vassal of an empire at war with itself.

  6. If the federal tories start promoting national unity instead of a free west then they are just as much the enemy of Alberta and Saskatchewan as the Turd.

I like Ford but if he says Alberta and Sask need to stay in Canada he can cram it.

  7. No more Colonial Status for Alberta. Full throated Nation State, only called The Republic of Alberta. No more Greasy Politicians and their crooked Fake Democracy. Go UDI Alberta Go UDI

  8. Andy threw that election. He had no end of footage of the idiot dancing around in costume all over the world, spreading stupidity and ruining markets and Andy never used it in the CPC ads. I told our MP to use that film, and he said that they wouldn’t, can’t run a negative campaign. I said “how is it negative, using the clowns own antics on film in your ads”? I said well you will lose then, and they did. Sad but we are at the same place the Americans have been in, election wise for 60 years, you take 8 and we’ll take 8 years, sad but the idiot and Andy are both globalists. Never once in that campaign did I hear that USMCA wasn’t ratified by the old nag Nancy, or getting farmers grain new markets, intentional loss.

    1. bar, creampuff cons, they go to church every sunday but refuse to fight for what is right.I don’t think dirty politics is right, but can be necessary at times. and as you said, using his own stupidity against him is fair game, and NOT dirty politics. Also 2% could have mentioned that the covered up story of the TURD could be read in the buffalo chronicle, and that would have sank the liberals

  9. The west didn’t vote against Trudeau to have him “reach across the aisle”.

We voted against him, and the Liberal Party of Canada, because we oppose their values, we oppose what the Liberals have done in the past few years, but also historically done to the west.

The Canadian bullshit Constitution is broken. I don’t know of anyone that wants to waste the next 40 years repairing it, and it’s easier to separate and write a working Constitution.

  10. If there was an open utility corridor built from coast to coast I wonder whether a different tone might come from western Canada? Premier Higgs suggested this be constructed when he was first elected.

    1. Today’s independence movement has little to do with pipelines or oil. It has to do with being masters in our own home. The west has no say in its own governance. The corrupt Laurentian Empire’s design was ever thus. Louis Riel recognized it 140 years ago. Some of us are just slow learners.

      1. Joe, Alberta imported far too many socialists from other parts of Canada and that is going to continue to hurt any effort at independence or energy development.

  11. Canaduh is just an euphemism for Ontario and it’s colonial possessions. I want to get Alberta OUT of corrupt Canaduh.
Canaduh’s Prime Minister is a publicly self-confessed CRIMINAL. That fact meant nothing to easterners. Out Canaduh.
Get out of Alberta, Canaduh. You are sick twisted jackals. You are not wanted here.

  12. Alberta ONLY. There is no point in taking Sk., and God forbid, Manitiba. They must be left on their own or seek their own exit plans. Sk’s crowns are poison in the current arrangement, dragging them down with their constant demands!

    1. CRB, take saskabush and manitoba, as then Alberta can have it’s own tide water port, and put you in a better place to control your oil prices, as you would not be able to be blocked by any one!!!

  13. How does Dougy figure to govern people who have nothing in common?
Canada is a kleptocracy, only western and rural citizens object to being governed by fools and bandits for their benefit.
Only the Western citizens see national debt as a curse upon our children.
(Rightly so as apparently only they will have to pay it off)
Our Eastern Comrades love it, look how long they kept McGinty and Wynn in power.
Now the federal NDP is doing for canada what Horvath did for Ontario.
And when this inept bunch of Liberals fail to operate a minority government, Easterners will vote the Never Done Paying /Liberal,Milk monopoly coillition right back into office.
For it pleases them to see corruption as government, only then is everything as it should be.

  14. I’m in rural Ontario and would like to see Ottawa out of the drinking straw banning business. For me its more about Ottawa than Trudeau cuz we got burned in rural Ontario before Trudeau came on the scene.

I wonder if Ford and the other Premiers could all agree and sing from the same songbook about clipping Ottawa’s wings and handing more power back to the provinces similar to Quebec. And meanwhile go hold a WEXIT separation over Ottawa just like Quebec does while doing the negotiating. We’d soon see the true colours of the Premiers.

Otherwise the WEXITers could just take over their Conservative parties and put new leaders in place vs. starting new parties.

    1. All the “Conseravtive” parties in Canada are done. It’s called the iron law of bureaucracy. It’s called the iron law of oligarchy.

It is not possible to dislodge the entrenched leadership; there is never going to be a “takeover”, at any level. The people currently in control, have already made the rules that make it impossible for them to lose control. Like what Hillary has done to the Democrats; they can’t get rid of her, and she is not going anywhere.

“Michels’s theory states that all complex organizations, regardless of how democratic they are when started, eventually develop into oligarchies. Michels observed that since no sufficiently large and complex organization can function purely as a direct democracy, power within an organization will always get delegated to individuals within that group, elected or otherwise.”

Pournelle’s Iron Law of Bureaucracy states that in any bureaucratic organization there will be two kinds of people”:

First, there will be those who are devoted to the goals of the organization. Examples are dedicated classroom teachers in an educational bureaucracy, many of the engineers and launch technicians and scientists at NASA, even some agricultural scientists and advisors in the former Soviet Union collective farming administration.

Secondly, there will be those dedicated to the organization itself. Examples are many of the administrators in the education system, many professors of education, many teachers union officials, much of the NASA headquarters staff, etc.”

The Iron Law states that in every case the second group will gain and keep control of the organization. It will write the rules, and control promotions within the organization.

  15. “Ford is impure, free The West now!”
“Saskatchewan is impure, free Alberta now!”
“Alberta is impure, free Kevin’s basement now!”

Good luck premier Ford, looks like Maxbots found a new crusade.

    1. You mean the guy the CPC party leader wouldn’t be seen with in public during the election campaign?
You mean the guy the CPC flew in a substitute Premier for to campaign for them?
With friends like the CPC, Ford will need more than luck.

Good look Westerners carving out some power for yourselves.

    2. colon, Max’s platform called for reps voting how their constituents wanted, and not whipping the vote, and that is a true conservative view.

Andy 2% whipping the vote for the Paris BS, now learn more about what conservatism is , and then read up on Max’s POV on issues. Andy is NOT a conservative, he is a “I don’t want to been seen as a meany ” bible thumper, and there is the whole damn problem. Just as Riatt saved May’s stupid drunken ass, when she should have let May melt down. Kristians are liberals in stupid suits

  16. Public sector unions will be holding a parade with floats to Queen’s Park today for the opening of Ontario’s parliament. This will be during rush hour to protest the persecution of underpaid, overworked civil servants.

    1. They are letting the mad slasher Ford out of the basement now that the election is over.
CUPE just took advantage of the election to win a round vs. Ford. No surprise the others will be lining up for their turn.
Unlike the slasher, did any of the federal leaders NOT promise more election goodies we can’t afford?
But they lock Ford in the basement. What message does that send?
It’s all a fake s*hit show & the unions are as establishment as BayStreet.

  17. Like Jesse Ventura said, politics is like pro-wrestling. They put on a great show for the public especially those tag-team matches.

Conrad Black @ the NP made the point that Quebec has completely outperformed Canada in the past decade and Hydro-Quebec is worth $500 billion vs the shambling, quasi-bankrupt Ontario Hydro.

Elections have consequences like where the crumbs fall. Some things are too important to be left for voters to decide. The gutting of Ontario Hydro was one of them. And that spectacle was brought to you by the Bob Rae-NDP and Harris-Conservatives tag-team.

The big ticket stuff gets decided behind closed doors by the Gerry Butts’ pulling the strings for the plantation owners.

Vote Harper, you get cap & trade. Vote Trudeau you get carbon tax. And voters keep voting for the tag team.

  18. Somewhat off-topic but relevant.

Liberals like to try rubbing our noses by saying, “If the West voted Liberal it would be different.” The answer to that is, “We fell for it once and never again.”
In 1968 we fell for Trudeaumania. We got royally screwed then and won’t be letting it happen again any time soon.
In1984, when Mulroney was elected. It was already over when election coverage started at 8pm. Despite being happy with the result, that was when I realized votes from the West were irrelevant. I supported the WCC after that.

  19. allow me to repeat a previous post re the fate of the PPC.
we needed Max to run regardless.
we needed to see first hand via an election the ‘mood’ for true conservatism.
    it worked.
Canaduh WILL continue to vote for madness and free stuff.
we true conservatives need to know that and fully prepare for the time coming when
the madness is complete and the free stuff is all gone.
    I voted PPC.

    1. hb, well said, a few years ago I did small job and talked to the SIL of the customer, and said to him you are one of us cons, and he retorted NO he was a liberal, but his out look was the same as mine, these are the people andy could have attracted, but 2% pushed them away just like he caused some of us to vote PPC. As Kate says, pleasing your NME’s will not turn them into friends, you need to pull in those who are like minded, and 2% didn’t even try that. As to anus colon the blow hard, he is unDork on steroids, and doesn’t get it
