“The last week has been eventful, even by Age O’ Trump standards”

Kurt Schlichter;

Here’s a fun test: can you name something – anything – major in the last two decades that our best and brightest have not screwed up?

I’ll wait.

Gaslighting is their default move because gaslighting is all these losers have. It’s not like they can sit back and let you read their CV of achievements. Iraq, Obamacare, their annoying millennial kids…all disasters. The members of America’s current ruling class are King Midases of failure. Everything they touch turns to suck.

So, because they have no other way to deal with the damning evidence of their utter incompetence, our elite instead tries to convince us that we are crazy for noticing just how lame they are. That’s called “gaslighting,” the straight-faced denial of what’s happening right in front of you that tries to leverage your politeness and deference to convince you that it’s not the elite that’s rotten. You’re just crazy for noticing, you crazed crazy person of craziness.

  1. Looking at jobs and deficit:

    Reagan: 15M jobs
    $79B to $159B

    Bush: 2M jobs
    $153B to $255B

    Clinton: 23M jobs
    $255B to $128B surplus

    Bush 1.5M jobs
    $128B surplus to $1T debt

    Obama 12M jobs
    1.16T to $585B

    Trump 5M jobs
    $585B to $1.1T

      1. Just want you to know that this entire comment is so laughably garbage that I’m not even going to try to reply to it. And I even replied to NME666 of all people, so that should really tell you something.

        1. That’s what gaslighters always say when they have no argument, in fact denying obvious facts, which is the exact point of this post, on whom irony is lost, along with facts, common sense and decency, but heavy on malice and mendacity.

You.Are.A.Gaslighter. Nothing more, but lots less. IOW, nothing new from you, including your projection on NME666.

    1. Andrew I knew one f you lefty assholes would try to convince us that O”butthole did a good job, now try learning context you GD fool

      1. Lol trust me, I know full well there’s no way I can undo the damage created by 3 hours of Fox News every day for 8 years.

          1. Paul, 2010 study showed that 85% of USA urnolists identifies as demoKKKraps, 2015 study showed there were still 7% who identified as GOP

        2. Andy, try finding out how many of those jobs O’Butthole created were government jobs, and how many werer private sector jobs, and viola, you’ll git the picture. The is reason I got very hi grades in Industrial Engineering, and was a damn good trouble shooter, cuz I could read assholes like you a mile away. When I started up a recycling company I had a “boss”who was a lefty, and he didn’t understand how I could have an operating profit after 3 months of operation. I’ll let you guess why, because he like you couldn’t think for himself, and didn’t understand what should be done and what should be avoided

From the comments: The danger to Canada is not Justin Trudeau but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the job of Prime minister.

It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of a Trudeau than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgement to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man as their Prime minister in the first place.

Canada’s problem is much deeper and much more serious than Mr.Trudeau who is a mere symptom of what ails Canada.

Blaming the Prince of Fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their Prince.

The country can survive a Trudeau, who after all is merely a fool.

It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools who made him their leader and are contemplating doing so again on Monday.

    1. Yep, only sane way forward, involves disenfranchisement of a whole lot of people.

      Don’t pay taxes; no vote.
Donated to a politician; no vote.
      Public sector; no vote.
      Not a citizen; no vote.
      Took foreign money; no vote.

Whole lotta people to disenfranchise before there is a chance to return to sanity.

  3. Every time someone tries to tie deficits to a particular President – instead of, say, the House of Congress which actually has the authority to appropriate funds – I want to roll up my giant novelty copy of the Constitution of the United States of America and cram it forcibly down their throat until they choke to death.

    1. Something like 90% of all federal spending is on auto pilot. Auto pilot via money-no-object socialist giveaway programs passed by strong democrat majorities at one time or another in the House and Senate. Programs that can never be killed thanks to the stranglehold liberals have on mass media. It’s not going to end well. We’re essentially using our MasterCard to pay off our Visa.

  4. What have our best and brightest not made a pig’s ear of? How about transferring political, military and economic dominion of the planet to China? That’s gone more or less according to plan.

Our masters are not stupid. Truly stupid people rarely hold on to power for long, even when by chance it falls into their laps.

  5. As someone who moved to the US from Canada in 2011, let me tell you one thing: Obamacare is NOT a disaster. It was a total lifesaver for me and if not for the ACA, I would have never been able to buy insurance at all. It has been a disaster for one segment of the population – people who make too much to qualify for subsidies but too little to be able to afford the steep premiums. The premiums are steep for one reason only: the ACA has never been properly enforced. Had the opt-out fine been higher and strictly enforced (as it is in Switzerland which has a system not dissimilar to the ACA), the pool would have been enlarged by many millions and premiums would have been kept in check. Unfortunately, the American populace is unwilling to pay a “health tax” (though everyone pays auto insurance which is sky-high in many cities, and no one seems to want to start a revolution about it) I voted Conservative in Canada and consider myself a right leaning Democrat in the US. But Kurt’s just plain wrong about the ACA (now being sabotaged by the Reps) It’s flawed but it has saved countless lives – and prevented countless medical bankruptcies

    1. So it wasn’t a disaster for people who had their premiums triple for the same coverage? Do tell.

    2. So Brock is sending his “stalwarts” north of the border these days?
You should have led with, “As a clown…”

    3. AOC was shoved down Congress’s throat with not one Republican vote, from the people always crying for “bi-partisan “. Except when they rule, then its shut up and stuff it.

…It was a total lifesaver for me and if not for the ACA, I would have never been able to buy insurance at all. It has been a disaster for one segment of the population – people who make too much to qualify for subsidies but too little to be able to afford the steep…
They are called working class. Or Deploribles. They are taxed 30-50% and are despised by both parties.
You, thus must be in the below working class. I.e., welfare.

      You’re welcome.
      ( also, We’re not Switzerland. )

    4. You obviously have a limited understanding of just who is paying for obozocare. And, of course, you have failed to make the obvious connection to “…and you can keep your doctor”. And, of course, you failed to mention the admittance by the author of obozocare that it was fraud from the start – that the users were too stupid to know anything else. You did touch on the first lie – that it was not a tax until Andrews said so. And somehow you have completely missed the requirement that we, as Americans, were forced to pay for something we might not want or can afford to a third party – the ultimate government control freak function. But you think it saved your life so everything is just hunky dory for you. You may want to take notice that Americans really don’t give a flying fuck what Switzerland does. Or what you want.

    5. The fact that the ACA is good for you is an indictment of ACA.
If indeed you “don’t make too much to qualify for subsidies” then you are here doubly on welfare, receiving welfare and “subsidies” from ACA. Why should we Americans pay for your welfare? And why should we Americans pay for any part of YOUR health insurance “at all”? You are not American, and probably moved away from the disaster that is Canadian health insurance to precisely take advantage of the ACA. And you think the flaw is more people are not forced into ACA to better pay for you, even as you acknowledge the “steep premiums” for people already forced into it.
People like you shouldn’t have been allowed to emigrate into the U.S. And in contrast to Paul, let me shout a loud …

      YOU ARE NOT WELCOME!

  6. Canadians who move to America suffer the costs associated with travelling back to Canada to access ‘free’ Canadian healthcare.
Some Canadians willingly pay transportation costs to access ‘unfree’ American healthcare, so there’s that.

  7. Another ‘book learning is for stupid homos’ column from Schlichter. Yet another good reason people like him will be buried deep in the years to come.
