There was a good report on CTV News Channel today on Canadians being fed up with the insanity surrounding climate change activism. (Sorry–can’t find the link.)
They highlighted the invasion of public places such as airports, malls etc. by Climate Barbie types. Too bad they didn’t run the story a few days ago when it may have made the followers of little Greta think past their noses and perhaps vote differently.
As for CTV News Channel, it was pathetic to watch them venerate Trudeau throughout the campaign.

All day today on QR770 in Calgary during EVERY news break, of which there’s many, you had to endure the “Greta meets Native Chief” report. Zero mention of pro energy Chiefs that completely disagree with the Greta movement. You know… Fair and balanced? And they told us it wasn’t a political visit.
The climate Marxists don’t protest China’s destruction of the environment and their CO2 emissions because China is already communist.

From watching this video what I have learned is there are a lot of people earning MONEY pushing CLIMATE CHANGE and that it is very POLITICAL. The IPCC members are not Scientists the UN personally picked them and they were told not to take any information given to them from real Scientists. Tim Ball was taken to court by the IPCC because he said their hockey stick weather science was not real. Tim Ball WON his case against the IPCC. IPCC are LIARS! Patrick Moore a renown Scientist has said we need more C02 for the earth to survive, so oil, natural gas and even coal should be produced. Scientist reported their is NO threat to the earth as the earth has been warming and cooling every 1000 years. By CUTTING Canada’s RESOURCES other COUNTRIES are filling the VOID that DON’T respect any ENVIRONMENTAL LAWS. Canada has been using ENVIRONMENTALLY safe procedures for many years in the field and is working with the Indigenous peoples of Canada. So here I am, stuck in this beautiful village of Havre Saint-Pierre on the Gaspe Peninsula in North Eastern Quebec flying a helicopter survey (the seafood is amazing). It’s a town full of Hydro Quebec employees and a few tourists. What most people probably don’t realize is that hydro electricity requires an incredible amount of fossil fuel.
Hydro Quebec employees are flown from their tiny villages all over Quebec to the remote hydro dams on Dash-8 aircraft.
The parking lots at the airports are jammed full of Ford trucks and Ford SUVs with their cute little red safety flags bobbing in the wind and the Hydro Quebec stickers on the driver’s door.
The roads to these remote dams cost about $500-$600 million each to build (using heavy equipment drawing on diesel power). They are paved highways available only to Quebec Hydro employees and their contractors. They are plowed in the winter using fossil fueled plows – not electric vehicles.
The hydro lines are initially attached to the poles using helicopters. Once attached they are inspected using helicopters. In the winter the helicopters use a wooden pole attached to a long-line to break the ice off the lines. As one pilot mentioned “you have to be careful because once the ice falls away the lines bounce up quite a bit”. Helicopter pilots have a knack for understating the obvious.
The nearest mobilization center is Sept Iles. There are 4 helicopter companies there, with the smallest operator owning at least 4 helicopters. Most of the work is for Hydro Quebec. Inspection, construction, monitoring. None of this work uses electricity. It is all fossil fuel.
So you can’t have clean hydro power without fossil fuel. Where have you heard that one before? Probably never. But we all know it takes a lot of fossil fuel to make a drum of oil. Which gets shipped to Hydro Quebec.
Steve we can’t have any power without fossil fuels. Can’t make a wind turbine, can’t make a solar panel, can’t make anything that generates power without fossil fuels. The very naïve and or stupid among us seem to think it is possible but they are wrong.

I’m only at the 20 minute mark, but I’m wondering if anyone will ask the “stop fossil fuels to stop climate change” folks what would happen if they succeed beyond their wildest dreams and ban the tractor. To what would the population of the earth shrink?
