    1. Disappointed that one of the cellists wasn’t dressed in a schoolboy outfit.

BTW … those two cellists have Rockstar good looks! Unlike ANY cellist I went to school with … which was usually a fat, unfortunately homely girl … with the occasional cute Chinese girl (I’m sure Old Bruin knows I’m right).

        1. Sheesh. Almost makes me wish I’d taken cello lessons! Nahhhh … dragging that big case everywhere … having to stop constantly to punch out the bullies mocking me. Sounds exhausting.

But our woke society has “fixed all that” … and bullies have been completely eradicated. So now, it is safe for school children to carry a cello

          1. Knowing and loving music saved Alice Hersz- Sommer from death. After WW II she regularly gathered with musician friends. In her autobiography she wrote that they had the most beautiful soirees when they played piano and cello – her favourite combination. Her life story was made into a documentary. Here is some info:

            https://forward.com/news/breaking-news/193699/documentary-on-holocaust-survivor-alice-herz-somme/

When I read her book a few years ago, she enclosed some recipes. I’ve made her wonderful Chicken Soup. During their music sessions everyone could smell the slow-boiling concoction on the stove- it drove them crazy. She shared her soup with all who came to visit and play.

            Wish I could’ve been there.

(I’ll share the recipe sometime soon, when I dig it up, it was something out of this world!)

  1. As a regular visitor and contributor for ten + years, I’ve got to vent.
Sadly, over the last year or even more, I’ve been witness to a gradual slide towards irrelevancy of a once GREAT forum aka SmallDeadAnimals, or more specifically the dominance of certain contributors (not you Kenjii, you’re great}.
We’ve lost some fabulous pundits, wonder why? What once was a hard hitting political/local interest/social analysis of common concern has been relegated to … trivia, back-patting lovefests-(BA, NR get a room already..) A per diem limit to posts might work?

Kate, when you initiated this blog, you would take an issue, grab it by the throat and shake it until it was dead, inserting your own POV. Of late, it seems you like to take an issue, toss it out there and see where it lands,
A lot of things have transpired since then. Notably the tremendous personal success in your dog showing enterprises! I’m sure, on that level it has to be the ultimate pinnacle.
Your greatest fan, continued good luck!

    1. That was hilariious!! Where would the Green Lantern hide the weapon??

They should just keep Sockboy in a plastic enclosure like they do with the Pope!!

Mostly to keep the Devil away!!

    1. During my first DIY remodel project, I borrowed an old gas-powered compressor to run an air stapler (for my shake roofing). It was the most annoyingly LOUD piece of equipment I ever operated … and the neighbors were thoroughly PISSED OFF at me. So I cobbled-together an enclosure of wood pallets and plywood.

      It didn’t help.

    1. For a little contrast …

In 18 years of WAR in Afghanistan … there have been 1,856 Americans killed and 20,320 wounded. An average of 103 killed and 1,128 wounded each year of the Afghanistan WAR.

      https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_military_casualties_in_the_War_in_Afghanistan

In Chicago this year … 384 killed and 1,837 wounded

And yet, the military pays out a significant amount of $$ and resources to combat post traumatic stress syndrome. Just imagine the traumatic stress experienced by the ghetto dwellers of Chicago? Self imposed traumatic stress.

  2. Prime Minister Gerald Butts explains on twitter that Scheer is a Nazi with a picture of Scheer shaking hands with an oil worker in a yellow vest.

  3. After trashing Scheer for his dual citizenship, Prime Minister Gerald Butts is excited that the president of the Raptors supports Blackie. Just ignore that the president of the Raptors is not a Canadian.

  4. HizzHonour-and-Chief Peter Mansbridge weighs in with this Twitter tweet — defending Rosemary Barton as being part of the CBC lawsuit against the Conservative party:
    https://twitter.com/petermansbridge/status/1183120203258966016

where HizzHonour smears those who criticize Barton’s pro-Liberal bias as “trolls”. But — ooops! — his tweet gets immediately hammered by virtually everybody, that is, those who oppose the CBC’s gutter interference in this election.

Oh, recall the AdScam controversy of 16-17 years ago. The Globe and Mail — as pro-Liberal back then as it is today — broke the story and kept up the investigation all through the scandal. But Peter Mansbridge at the National conspired with Jason Moscovitz (then, chief political correspondent at the CBC) to minimize the scandal as much as possible. After one major AdScam development, Mansbridge asks Moscovitz, intoning with deep voice and furrowed brow: “Do you think this story has legs?”. After a moment of faux-hesitation, Moscovitz replied “No”.

Later, the Business Development Bank of Canada — itself mired in the AdScam scandal (according to the Comery Commission) — would reward Jason Moscovitz with a patronage position as Vice President of Public Affairs. Don Newman, who hosted the CBC’s “Politics” show back then, also bent over backwards to minimize AdScam. He is now the head of the Board of Directors at Canada 2020, a lobby group fronting for the Liberal party.

    1. And millions will vote for the Corrupt Liberal Party of Canada because Canadians are as corrupt as any Libyan dictator’s son.

  5. Blackie’s CBC covered Groper’s press conference in New Brunswick this morning. Unifor journalists asked him to explain how wonderful he is. Standard rants about Doug Ford, Jason Kenney, and Harper. Our little dictator continues to interfere with provincial responsibilities. This time health care. He actually is promising a family doctor for everyone if he is prime minister again. I would like to know how he is planning to do that. Pull them out of his ass maybe? And he has added New Brunswick to his list of provinces that he will fight. After the election he states that he will sit down with the New Brunswick premier and lay down the law on what he must do.

    1. Maxime Bernier
      @MaximeBernier

All the other parties propose mode federal meddling in healthcare, education, daycare, housing, local infrastructure, which are all provincial responsibilities.

The @peoplespca is the ONLY party that will RESPECT the Constitution and provincial autonomy.

For the first time in years, thanks to the PPC, issues that matter to Canadians are finally being addressed: immigration, climate alarmism, political correctness, equalization, corporate welfare, globalism, foreign aid, respecting our Constitution, etc.

Still undecided? Watch last weekend’s rally in Halifax

    2. “Our little dictator continues to interfere with provincial responsibilities.”

I came to the conclusion quite some time ago that he really is too intellectually challenged to understand the Canadian constitution.

    1. // John Kidder, who is exactly the gelded wonder you’d expect //

John Kidder, a 71-year-old hops farmer from Ashcroft — a village west of Kamloops in Interior B.C.

I will hear no criticism of hop farmers.

      1. He’s running for the Greens in that riding. Let the criticism commence! He is another Green LOON! He’s one of the founders of the Green party of BC.

        1. My guess is that

          1. he can’t, at least with a woman
          2. she doesn’t want to, at least with a man.

May 26, 2018: The same photoshopped picture was posted on Brian Lilley’s Twitter feed by one Wayne Treford. Fake then, fake now. Reverse image search apps are great tools to have.

  6. Maybe this has been posted. NDP supporters bullied Edmonton Theatre owners into cancelling Ezra’s book launch: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.reddit.com/r/PeoplesPartyofCanada/comments/dg7ijb/ndp_thugs_bully_edmonton_theatre_owner_into/&ved=2ahUKEwiipLH5x57lAhWSmeAKHfNTBiYQFjADegQIBxAB&usg=AOvVaw0gby5y664PI3tEvJaJxPdz

Hope he found another venue. The book is Libranos and it is a good overview of Liberal improprieties and mis steps. Kindld verdion is pretty cheap. Why would the NDP oppose this? They are a big beneficiary of Lib defections. May be they are not that smart.

    1. Hope he found another venue.

I was there. There were no protesters others than a loud-mouthed Dipper supporter. Fortunately, arrangements were made to continue the proceedings at a nearby establishment. The upper floor was packed.

Take a look at Rebel’s Youtube channel for some of the videos that were made.

  7. We need to be concerned with the rise of the Bloc in Quebec. They want to get their arses into federal seats to represent one province and fight against Alberta oil and pipelines.

    1. Nope. We need every single seat in Quebec to vote a Bloc member in. Except for maybe Blackie Vest-Boy’s riding. Let’s get the party started.

    1. “””Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale told the House in 2017 that “the number of returnees is in the order of 60” and said fighters considered a threat are monitored. Further, they will be tried if there is evidence they acted outside the law.”””There maybe another 200 over in syria wanting to get back to Canada

per FP article only four have been charged with two found guilty. Don’t know what sentenced to?

Per one terrorist returnee, RCMP have a program to de-radicalize them…”Muslim RCMP officers [are] helping him fully abandon the principles once guiding him towards the brand of extremist ideologies ISIS espouses.”

  8. Didn’t have time to read all the comments this morning so I hope I’m not repeating anyone’s post here.

    https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/mayhem-big-shell-farmer-recalls-group-in-stolen-vehicles-raiding-his-yard-for-gasoline/ar-AAIOrz8?ocid=spartandhp

Big question to the Liberals and the RCMP,
“How do you secure the safety of yourself and your family?” In a situation like the one mentioned what makes you think you’ll be secure if you lock yourself away and hide. Once they graduate from stealing gas you can bet your bottom dollar and your ass that the next thing they will come for is whatever is of value in the house. When the cops are only minutes away, how many minutes becomes how long will your position be safe and secure.

  9. Justin fan girl Katie Simpson at Blackie’s CBC attacked Scheer this morning over the two most important issues facing Canadians, abortion and homosexual sex.

    1. John, Ms. Simpson is a piece of bad work. It used to be that broadcast networks would rotate political reporters in an out of parties’ leader road trips. But the corrupt Ceeb has kept Simpson on the Conervative road trip the whole time, since she is vindictively anti-Conservative. CBC News is going all out campaigning against the Conservatives. It goes beyond the pale.

Thanks for monitoring coverage on the Ceeb. I can’t bring myself to watch CBC News on TV. Weak stomach.

  10. Scheer will not defund the CBC

    Maxime Bernier
    @MaximeBernier

Scheer promised this morning that he will continue to “invest” in CBC/Radio-Canada.

Remember he also said he won’t commit to ending the $585M media bailout:
    https://blacklocks.ca/wont-pledge-to-end-bailout/…

Scheer is afraid of the left-wing media.

      1. You get a chuckle continually doing this don’t you Joe

No problem joe what is this now we have to be in the teens of you stating what you said above and me answering back.

It’s OK joe I rather enjoy proving you wrong lastly Max knew the vote was a PR stunt as well as Max had already stated that he wanted to defund the CBC way prior to that vote and Max didn’t want to be seen as a waffling politician like Scheer is on balancing the budget in two years but it’s OK with you that Scheer won the leadership saying he would balance the budget after two years but now it’s a maybe in year five which would mean a second term.

Brad Trost’s Bill To Privatize CBC Fails Spectacularly By Vote Of 260-6
2 Conservative leadership Scheer and Bernier hopefuls vote against C-308.

        https://m.huffingtonpost.ca/2017/05/04/brad-trost-cbc-bill-c308_n_16411180.html

        1. Angel,

Max said one thing and did the exact opposite.

And we are still waiting for Max’s policy on defence.

Re balancing the budget in two years. You and Max have said you’ll cut or eliminate most if not all taxes. Yet at the same time you say you won’t cut any services. Sorry, you’re just not credible.

          1. Everything you say is false

We never said we would cut all taxes
GST will go to all provinces to pay for healthcare.

Get rid of the deficit in two years through spending cuts and fiscal prudence.

Spending cuts will include: corporate welfare ($5B-$10B), foreign development aid ($5B), CBC ($1B), equalization payments, and funding for programs which are provincial or municipal responsibilities.

Stop using our tax system for political ends and make it simpler and fairer. In particular, it will eliminate targeted tax measures that are inefficient and serve no compelling public policy purpose.

Cut personal income taxes after the deficit has been eliminated, over the course of several budgets, as the fiscal room is found to allow it. The objective will be to lower taxes for all Canadians by raising the basic personal exemption to $15,000 (from $12,069 in 2019) and reducing the number of tax brackets from five to two, with incomes from $15,001 to $100,000 taxed at 15%, and income over $100,000 taxed at 25%.

Over the course of one mandate, gradually abolish the personal capital gains tax by decreasing the inclusion rate from the current 50% down to 0%

As for defence after balancing the budget the PPC will bring up our defence budget to meet Canada’s NATO pledge of spending 2% of our GDP on our Canadian military.

Where’s Scheer Platforms on balancing the budget???

Scheer is not credible for he won the leadership saying he would balance the budget in two years so Joe its you and Scheerdeau who are not credible.

Scheer has to give up balancing the budget in two years to help pay for the billions he’s promised for your vote.

  11. And now here is a story you won’t see on the CBC or in the Toronto Star. Blazing Cat Fur has the story on an Imam in Canada, who has denounced all candidates in the election as filthy non muslims who support Zionism and homosexuals. And the story is building on social media and Warren Kinsella’s twitter feed about the private Liberal fundraiser that was held in New York city mid way through the campaign.

  12. https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/election-2019/john-robson-everyones-running-against-the-tories-even-the-tories

The CPC brain trust may have played this just right. With talk of a coalition between the Lieberals and Dippies, centrist voters are flocking over in masse to the CPC. Maybe now that all the misfits have left the big tent for the PPC as goes the narrative.

In an age of moral relativism, why hold grudges & ill feelings. To each their own. It’s all good.

Then there is reality knocking on the door. We can vote our way into this, but the lesson from history is we won’t be voting our way out of this.

    1. We’ve laboured the big picture stuff & maybe not enough. But people don’t realize the plantation owners want to turn us into wards of the state to take us down the road to socialism. In the process we are destroying society by absolving people of any personal responsibility for their life choices and someone else gets to pay for the consequences of their poor life choices. So lets take a ISIS returnee – and I don’t even want to think about the vile crimes these people have committed – but it’s all OK to spend public money to “rehabilitate” them. With no consequences, we are breeding more of this. It will not end well.

      1. Right on target Raymond M.

The people who support the Liberals CPC NDP and Greens are voting to entrap their future generations into a Islamist Sharia Law Cesspool Canada.

By voting for the PPC I will know that I had tried to do my best this election for my offsprings.

This election is about getting rid of the Globalist Islamist Socialist Political Parties of the LibCons NDP and Greens

    1. Tried taking soys off years back in snow and ice. Almost lost a hand cleaning ice out of the header. My partner, the gubermint takes a third for doing NADA to hand to people who hate me. So I decided I don’t need this and now just pasture some cattle for others. Investment is an old pick-up and a pair of pliers. I earn way less but I have the satisfaction of knowing they get way less of my money to hand over to people who hate me.

      1. I agree Raymond. The real screwing of the small Farmer/Rancher began In earnest under the fake Conservative Mulroney. I also cowboyed 150 cow calves on my small ranch until my back gave out. As well as my own small cow herd. An when I sold off my cows, because I was disabled, I rented out my pastures and sold off my hay crop each year.

  13. A new campaign sign appeared across the road from my house with an Obama-esque portrait of Trudeau, and the single word beneath “Grope” instead of “Hope”. And if you contact me at the email address with the comment, Kate, I can send you a picture for your site.

    1. Coles notes version: Kinsella all his life has fought against racism and so he couldn’t bring himself to vote for Harper’s CPC cuz of all the racists in the big tent. And now the Trudeau bunch are acting like a cult not like classy Liberals like Kinsella is. Kinsella isn’t outright saying vote Scheer. But over the past weeks Kinsella has been rooting for Scheer now that the racists have all moved over to Bernier. (For the record, I’m not one of the PPC racists who moved over from the CPC).

        1. World’s biggest financial newspaper is spreading Islmophobia. /s

“”Targeted killings and forcible religious conversions to Islam by extremists against the dwindling Sikh minority in Pakistan also undermine Pakistan’s credibility as a champion of Sikh minority rights in India.

Sikh activists in Pakistan estimate that their community’s numbers have shrunk drastically from 40,000 in 2002 to just 8,000 by 2018. Khalistan’s proponents conveniently ignore the near-extinction of Sikhs in Pakistan while harping on about Sikhs being victimized in India.””

          https://asia.nikkei.com/Opinion/Pakistan-will-regret-stirring-up-Sikh-nationalism-in-India2

  14. True North News has a breaking story on the Liberal’s private fundraiser in New York. According to Malcolm at True North, a former aide to Hillary Clinton helped organize it. This was the same aide who set up Hillary’s secret email account.

  15. No Free Speech = No Freedom

The problem with hate speech laws

Let’s Not Forget About Free Speech This Election

For supporters of free speech in Canada, this year has certainly been a nervy one. From Prime Minister Trudeau’s signing of the “Christchurch Call to Action” and the “Digital Charter” against “hate speech”, to the Justice and Human Rights Committee’s draconian recommendations for combatting “online hatred”, 2019 has presented the biggest potential for rolling back Canadian speech rights to the pre-Section 13-days.

The reinstatement of that law, in fact, which to remind had barred online speech that could expose identifiable groups to mere contempt, had been front-and-centre on the Justice Committee’s recommendations-list. Going by Andrew Scheer’s treatment of fellow MP Michael Cooper following that Committee’s hearing on the issue and his general silence on the Liberals’ speech-restriction push this election, concerned Canadians have much reason to be on edge.

    https://canadafreepress.com/article/lets-not-forget-about-free-speech-this-election

    1. The more they try to end free speech the more you have to stand up for your rights. Rights that are far older than the Fooked Up Gulag called Canada. Do not ever back down. Do not threaten but continue to call them out and stand up. And if you live in Montreal, buy a little Yellow dog. And everyday take him to PET’s crypt to lift his leg. Then take him home and feed him Alberta Beef.
