  1. No shit Lance!

There’s nothing else to say. As IF the CBC et.al. aren’t political mouthpieces for a Marxist Canadian State.

Or saying … NPR offers some kind of impartial, intellectual, analysis of the … news.

    1. Scheer doesn’t understand that The Rebel, is Canada’s Fox News. We need at least one outlet that tell us the other side of the story. Too bad, Scheer could have used a friendly publication, but then … he’s stupid, remember?

The CPC has lost my vote, my wife’s vote and as many friends and family that I can convince … we will all vote for Max even though his chances are extra slim.

      1. “The Rebel, is Canada’s Fox News”

An accurate summation of what pieces of crap both those are. We need them like cancer.

    2. I was listening to CBC radio today for a change of pace and they just spent 45 minutes absolutely demolishing Trudeau for blackface among other things. The Rebel is propaganda, even Fox News at least has a little bit of actual news.

Of course after that they spent 3 hours talking about First Nations issues, but hey can’t win em all.

  2. That angel guy never answers the question…

“If Trudeau doesn’t bother showing up, why does Bernier still think these “debates” are worth going to?”

    1. I have never watched X men, when you ask a direct question you get an answer but chutzpahticular already answered it and I agree.

Every vote counts, and he needs as much exposure as he can get.

      1. I think this is all you need to know about Bernier; he does not believe it is possible to win without the CBC’s audience.

In my opinion, this demonstrates that no, he cannot win. And if he does, he isn’t ending the CBC either.

      2. Eventually, someone who does not believe it is possible to win without the CBC’s audience…

Will adopt the policy positions of the CBC. Will start saying, and doing, whatever the CBC says is “electable” behavior…

Like what we see from the CPoC.

“we can’t win without the votes from the center”
        “we can’t win without Quebec”
“we can’t win without urban voters (ie. Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, …)

It means, inevitably, that the west does not count.
Regina does not have enough votes to count as a “city”.
There are not enough seats in Saskatchewan for the electoral “math”.

So, there is independence, and only freedom.

        1. There’s an election a majority of Canadians watch the debates no matter who is airing them…

Your making a mountain out of a mole hill…

        2. Kevin to get the votes from the center they need to allow for choice as to abortions, choice for assisted suicide , and embrace the use of cannabis, and quit the bible thumping schitt, that simple, as I’v talked to many people over the last few years, and those issues stand out in every conversation

    2. The answer is in Clint Eastwood’s monologue to an empty chair, but I doubt the milk maid could pull it off

  3. Rebel Media must be seen as a threat to the old media hacks and also to Scheer, which is rather pathetic.

    1. it speaks to scheep’s character big time, and there are those who wonder why people like me don’t support the scheep, now were is that one man a$$hole brigade to defend the indafencable, Ooz???

    2. Rebel media has been tagged as “Extreme right wing”by the communists that work in journalism for Unifor.
If Scheer associates with Rebel they will tag Scheer relentlessly for the rest of the campaign as an extreme right winger who will destroy the country blah blah …………………
      It will lead every story.
Scheer is smart to stay away. The media can influence a lot of stupid people.
As for PPC, Steven Fletcher in my riding is cheating by using his old CPC signs that say re-elect.
      Pretty sleazy.

      1. Allowing The Rebel into events with all the other news venues does not constitute “associating with The Rebel”. All he had to do was let them cover the event, he didn’t have to kiss up to them, didn’t have to show them any favors, just let them be.

But now he’s screwed himself, because if he apologizes (as he should) it WILL be noticed and exploited by the communists who belong to Unifor, and he WILL be tagged as an extreme right winger. So he’ll continue to eject Rebel reporters.

Which is to say, by expelling The Rebel and ticking off the conservative voters, he’s handed the election to Trudeau on a platter. Maybe even a majority.

    3. Well I just mailed off a cheque for $50 to The Rebel. First time I donated money to an organization that can’t give out tax deduction slips. That’s how much I despise Trudoo. and his liberal camp followers.

  4. Scheer cooked his goose. As for the rest of the RedCon establishment that has gravitated to the top of the Conservative party and chokes out anything Conservative or populist. I can’t see a reason i’d EVER vote of DONATE Federal Conservative ever again.

    So disgusting.

    1. I’m not red social con. I believe in alien intervention.
Populism stands for individual freedoms & rights, and self-responsibility and less government interference.
So I find myself being drawn into this fight defending the social cons against the attacks of the cultural Marxists.
I also believe traditional values serve society well e.g., leave other people’s kids alone.
That said, there are some religious types oozing with misogyny and hate of others who don’t reflect well on the Christian faith they profess. They don’t help the cause. But for the most part, I’m Ok finding myself on the side of the So-cons fending off the de-Marxist hordes.

  5. At what point did the conservatives become like the liberals? Oh, right, they always were. Censorship is alive and well in all of Canada. I see Facebook has cancelled the national citizens coalitions account and refused to run their ads. Will someone tell me why the hell we need facebook?

    1. OWG , libards are nothing but a bunch of butthurt emotianalists, and religion is an emotion, does that explain it for you, and some of the religious retards in here wonder why I keep harping about getting religion out of politics!!!

      1. Religion is not an emotion. There are those who get emotional about everything. Without the moral values brought to us via the Ten Commandments and the teaching of Jesus we would be less than animals. Our law and moral values are pinned to the above. You can dismiss it if you wish but that will in no way alter the fact. As far as socialist control of free people, well, religion, particularly Christianity, has no part in the subjection of man to slavery. The freedom we have under Christ scares the hell, no pun intended, out of secular humanist liberal socialists because we refuse to give THEM control over our lives.

        1. I don’t go to church – I pretty much never have.
Got married to a Roman Catholic in an RC Church by some greasy slimy pedophile preist.

It has been my experience (67 yrs), that from Monday to Saturday, chruch goers are some of the most ignorant – arrogant bits of human flotsam alive. Come Sunday though, they go and be Saint Like for an hour or 2 – then be itchin to Screw one over by the Afternoon.

Having said that: I do agree that without a MORAL Baseline..? mankind wouldn’t have evolved past Canniblaistic Triblism.
Christianity & Only Christianity has provided that – No Question.

As for the Vatican..?? They are 100% part n parcel of the Global Pedophilia Ring: Round them up, Castrate the Lot & obliterate the rest.

          1. I got a 20 page writeup entitled ‘dealing with christian’ chronicling 60+ YEARS of xians treating me like DIRT.
starting with the wop mic byatch next door. never a smile, never a kind word, always the stern faced superioristic CATHOLIC looking (literally) down on the young boy next door wondering wtf did *I* do to her????

catholics who gave us the inquisition, religious wars for centuries, anti-semitism, financial corruption off the scale, etc.
oh ya, they got lots to boast about eh?

          2. There’s a great big divide of a difference between personal religious beliefs and organized religion which eventually gives in to sinners who like to sin…

This life is one big test and I pray to God every day to help me pass it and the more stronger and closer I get to God the bigger the challenges I Face.

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger…

        2. As far as socialist control of free people, well, religion, particularly Christianity, has no part in the subjection of man to slavery.

Many church denominations have long been compromised and corrupted by those who equate communism as true Christianity in action and who treat Das Kapital as the fifth gospel.

Using an AK-47 or an RPG to bring about “social justice” is seen by them as a sacrament, if not the only one worth practicing.

        3. OWG fMRI’s say different, they show that religion is processed in the same area of the brain as emotions, and that area of the brain shuts down the area of the brain were logic is processed. You should learn to keep yer pie hole shut about things you know nothing about

      2. NME666 “…I keep harping about getting religion out of politics!!!”
        ================
Well I haven’t been paying close attention to the current campaign, but I think I would have noticed if some candidate had injected religion into politics. It certainly would have turned up on the news, especially CBC which I do occasionally listen to. (hides face in embarrassment) Tell me, when and where has this happened? And what party (besides the Christian Heritage Party who don’t even rate a mention and who haven’t been in any news)?

          1. NME666, Who’s, the Christian Heritage Party? Yeah that makes sense. But they’re the only one.

    2. Will someone tell me why the hell we need facebook?

To “reach out” to young adults because they seem to be incapable of thinking, let alone for themselves. I rarely see one nowadays who isn’t bent over a smartphone.

      1. Only old people are still on Facebook.
Kids are 3 platforms beyond now.
Seriously, look at your timeline and tell me it’s not just old Boomers posting the nonsense you used to make fun of your kids posting.

        1. I’m a dinosaur. I’ve never been on Farcebook or MyIdiocy or whatever the dickens those things are called.

I often see younger people in the gym who’re plugged into some cockamamie thing or another. Me, I prefer the quiet solitude of my own thoughts and, yes, I do use that as an opportunity to think.

          1. LOL, “the dickens” and “cockamamie” confirm that you are indeed a dinosaur … a proud dino like me.

But seriously, YES, solitude has pretty well disappeared from the youth segment.

I’m a long distance motorcyclist. 100% solo, which surprises, even offends, some. It’s the sanity-saving solitude I actively seek. I also do long walks and NEVER with music-listening devices despite my songwriting hobby.

      2. Dirtman, they don’t need to shout it out, just their actions are what is troubling, A Canadian is a homophobic racist, and tries to present himself as a Kristian, and all the so called kristians in here remain silent when the racist wanks off in here , do you now git it, it’s subtle support of unacceptable behaviour that turns people off. This is what in my youth drove me to being an atheist, as my mother went to church every sunday, and preached at home all the time, but her actions spoke a different tune

        1. Are really as stupid as you sound? Your arrogance is a stench that irritates thinking people.

    1. He’s a Liberal in a blue Suite; just like that Albertan Redford. At least she had the decency to identify herself by name.

  6. It appears the Conservatives don’t recognize their friends. Rebel isn’t their enemy and should not be shut out.
It was a dumb ass move, sadly Conservatives are prone to becoming their own worst enemies running scared.

    1. There is a snotty arrogance that flows through this party. I have been contacted on numerous times and when I try to tell them the reasons why as a CARD CARRYING Conservative, I cannot in good conscience vote for Scheer …. I’m unable to even get 1 word in before I’m hung up on…!!

“…Oh yea..?? well then screw YOU…completely.!”

That among other things, speaks VOLUMES to me.
      To hell with the CPC.
      ZERO DIFFERENCE from the LIBERALS.

      #BernierNation

      1. steak, and I get no audience they never acknowledge that you have contacted them with concerns about scheep

  7. So an opportunity presented itself for the Cons to show they’re different from the Libs, and instead they proved they’re the same thing, proving Maxime was right.

Too stupid and lacking in principles to deserve election.

    1. The Conservative Party has never been all that different from the Liberals. They don’t appeal to conservatives because they have no conservative policies. Everything Scheer is promising is a reworked version of a Liberal policy, a little less tax, but not much and a little less government, but not much. A slight modification to the same policy, but not much. Its still the same policy. The Liberals set the agenda and that is how Canada runs. That is how they want it to run. Same Family Compact and Chateau Clique that ran the place at Confederation, runs it today. All we have to do is shut up and pay more than our fair share of the taxes.

      1. Chris

        Succinct and 100% BANG on..
Nothing has and nothing will EVER change that particular Dynamic.
I have said in the past, the REAL . Power in Canada is Power Corp and the Desmarais – Morneau – McLeans – Bronfmann & other Laurentien Famlies…

Whomever sits in the PM’s chair absolutely MUST Bend the Knee and kiss the various Rings of those mentioned above…As it ever was.

Your Quebec Mafia….the rest of our “Government” en masse is simply a Fake storefront on a Pedowood Film lot.

        I WANT an New Country.

          1. The PPC platforms goes against what you say.

I am not the same man I was 10 20 30 years ago but Trudeau Scheer have proven themselves to be part of the elite globalist club who accept the UN on immigration, climate and all the democratic killing agendas.

A Max Video That I posted yesterday did you here the part where Max said he may move our Canadian embassy to Jerusalem.

      2. Chris @ 7.53 a.m.

        The UNVARNISHED TRUTH.
As I have been wont to say for a few decades now, there’s no real small ‘c’ conservative constituency in Canada.
You cannot gain power in Canada by being a small ‘c’ con.

For this reason, it’s eye-rolls this end, at every mention of Harper’s failure to shut the CBC down and every mention of Alberta separation, an impossibility as the character of the people required for this rad move simply doesn’t exist.

  8. Is it possible it was a set up by the libtards, Glen MacGregor & RCMP & the rest of the media party ‘s plan to embarrass Scheer?

If this is the case Scheer should come out & explain the reason for it and apologize, but if it was the CPC idea, then Scheer deserves to lose votes to the PPC.

    1. Problem is if we punish Conservatives by voting PPC Trudeau gains. We have to get rid of a bad government. I don’t think we are even safe with the Trudeau pack. What a mess.

      1. If Scheep wins, we exchange one set of miseries for another, not that we would be able to tell the difference.

          1. Go ahead and see how you enjoy 4 more of sockpupet.

Vote for Scheep and you’ll have them for sure. Even if he wins the election, we’ll still have the same policies as those of Prinz Dummkopf. Scheep sold out to them soon after he took over as leader.

This is one election in which I will definitely have to vote with my conscience and my beliefs.

          2. But that’s it thought, isn’t it. I am voting Conservative. I am not voting for Scheer, I am voting against Trudeau. No mistake and I do it knowingly. I hate that it is the best choice I have to get rid of the spawn.

          3. This latest attack by Scheer on The Rebel was the last straw for many who were planning to hold their noses and vote for him. Now a lot of them will just stay home. A lot will vote for Max. Which is to say the election has been handed to Trudeau, so for many voters, they will wonder what’s the point of voting for Conservatives now that they cannot possibly win, might as well vote PPC.

          4. D @ 5:59 pm
“Now a lot of them will just stay home.”

Stay home? Someone else will use your ballot if you do that. Better to go and spoil your ballot by putting an “X” in every box or a line right through everything.

Our teacher advised us to do this many years ago when Canadian History was still taught in school.

  9. So if the Laurentian Elite has now circled the wagons, raised the barricades, and shut out the great unwashed from entering the keep, then I have no problem identifying those that are set against like minded travellers as myself.

This is that moment where it should be clear that the defining question for we the deplorable as to whom we should cast our vote for. That party or candidate will not be judged worthy by what is promised because once in Ottawa they will always be pressed to compromise to aid and abet those they are surrounded by. No, the means test is that candidate that will for the next four years, in spite of any compromise they may have to make, will demand the denizens of the swamp live under the same rules they wish to impose on we the deplorable.
New gun restrictions? Sure, first we remove all that security on Parliament Hill and that detail that surrounds the PMO and any member of cabinet.
New environmental regulations that keep the oil in the ground? Sure, first we ban its use for all government elected and unelected. Let’s start with those reserved parking spots.
That’s the folks we need up on the hill.
But I’m realistic enough to know that emotion will win over logic and reason and the electors will choose Santa Clause over good sense.

So I pray for this nation.

      1. Who is us? You didn’t even know Ken Kulak. You weren’t even on the blog a year ago. You’re a Maxbot, nothing else.

      2. Oh STFU you worthless fraud. You’re smearing Ken’s name by associating it with your self righteous bullshit.

  10. The source of scheer-the-steer’s yellowness isn’t a bad experience with The Rebel or anything like that, but rather, it’s just because he’s too cowardly and incompetent to handle accusations from turdo la doo that he’s talking to “extremist” media. So The Great Scheep listened once again to the whispers of his little poli-sci grads in their elf suits.

    1. Exactly. Harper also had a bunch soft-handed, limp-wristed policy advisors who couldn’t swing a hammer any better than Blackie McBlackface. Just like the current staff of the PMO, I don’t even consider them to be humans.

  11. This is why an alleged conservative party doesn’t deserve to win. They are taking their cues from liberal media by doing this, nothing more. The “hold the nose vote” I was planning just doesn’t feel possible anymore.

  12. What’s funny is we just went through all this 25-odd years ago with Reform. The big brains learned nothing.
Except this time, the West will want out.

      1. Max can’t win and he hasn’t exactly endeared himself to the Canadian electorate since leaving the Torys. He’s not a viable option. The only viable option is AB/SK leaving confederation. Albertans can no longer wager their standard of living on red Torys getting lucky once every 20 years…..

        1. “…and he hasn’t exactly endeared himself to the Canadian electorate since leaving the Torys….”

Probably the best sign you could have that he’s doing something right. After all, at any one time in this Country at least 60 percent of the electorate can be counted on to vote for the LIbs, InDeepers or Greens, and 90 percent of the rest are Conservatives of the scheer-the-steer variety.

        2. Scheer isn’t a winner period…

And if he does nothing changes we’re still stuck with the same policies as Trudeau so nothing changes.

That’s why I am voting for Max the LibCons have done everything to destroy our country so get off the clown LibCons merry-go-round.

The PPC is about removing the failed Canadian Establishment, and replacing it with a government controlled by the people.

If your ok with status quo that’s your prerogative.

          1. “Scheer isn’t a winner period…”

Yeah yeah yeah. Every time someone is critical of the chances Grand Maxipad has to save the universe, there comes a Maxbot with “Scheer is bad globalist Libcon bullshit”. His argument wasn’t that Scheer is good it was about Alberta separating, your glitching imbecile.

    1. slaw when I had a customer in redmonton nwefberta in 1981 they were wanking off about separating, and you clowns are still here???

  13. Today’s Conservative party is the party of Joe Clark and Kim Campbell…..

Lots of pain with the Reform movement to finally culminate in 9 years of a more-or-less conservative party in power.

I guess it’s time for the cycle to repeat itself.

    1. Well this time when the one party that finds itself faced with the creditors shutting it down and the other one flush that can’t seem to break past an imaginary boundary and the pundits recommend the two parties merge I will hope clearer heads will let the creditors do their job and let nature do the rest.

      Sorry for the run on.

  14. Small c conservatives will never be united as they are individuals, with minds of their own. The Conservative Party has few or no conservatives within it, at least not at a decision-making level. They seek power. That is all.
Most of Canadistan is filled with simple-minded cud-chewers content even when lined up for slaughter. Elections have become pointless. Just look at the power of teachers unions and the mendacity of the MSM.
Keep your head down, smile and stay out of the line-up.

    1. As Ann Coulter said of the “vast right wing conspiracy”, conservatives couldn’t work together long enough to organize a barbeque.

  15. As a University educated western Canadian farmer, successful in other venues, I am part of a family that have always defaulted right.
Where we can balance our USA news with a combination of FOX an CNN, the Rebel has been our alternate comparative source to one and a half billion dollars of partisan, tainted news.
Unless you make it right, your action, throwing David Menzies under the bus has lost our votes.
Your Eastern Canadian university handlers, apparently uneducated in the concept of freedom of the press, are one the reason the West wants separation.
Please make this right or cancel our party memberships and quit phoning for donations.
    Hello Max.

    1. I got a call an hour ago. Told them to never call back again.
If David Menzies isn’t given full credentials I want no part of the CPC.
Scheer just wants to be PM. He is acting like a LIbrano. Just not good enough to win the leadership against Turdeau

      1. That’s basically what I said to the caller for the incumbent CPC candidate in my riding just now.
He thanked me for my time, I said I was happy to waste his.
I’ll be sitting this election out.

  16. I suppose, this is the iron law of bureaucracy:

“Pournelle’s Iron Law of Bureaucracy states that in any bureaucratic organization there will be two kinds of people:

First, there will be those who are devoted to the goals of the organization. Examples are dedicated classroom teachers in an educational bureaucracy, many of the engineers and launch technicians and scientists at NASA, even some agricultural scientists and advisors in the former Soviet Union collective farming administration.

Secondly, there will be those dedicated to the organization itself. Examples are many of the administrators in the education system, many professors of education, many teachers union officials, much of the NASA headquarters staff, etc.

The Iron Law states that in every case the second group will gain and keep control of the organization. It will write the rules, and control promotions within the organization.”

Clearly, the CPoC is done. It only contains people who care about the party. They don’t care about policy, don’t care about “their” base, don’t care about winning elections. They only care that the party continues.

In my opinion, that party is done. The Liberals, the NDP, they have enough zealots (I call them party first and only voters) that they can continue forever. You know the people; “my grandparents voted Liberal, my parents voted Liberal, my children will vote Liberal”. I do not think enough zealots exist to keep the CPoC going; although history has shown that when the PC party failed, they metastasized over to the CPoC…

The Liberals, NDP, every union in the country, most so called “churches” fall into the same category.

The iron law is likely already at work within the PPC; the only thing that remains to be decided, is how long they manage to hold it at bay before it kills them too.

If/when (my money is on when, and immediately after Scheer beats Campbell’s record) you start hearing calls for “merger”, “stop the war on the right”, my advice to the PPC is ignore them all.

  17. Hold yer nOse Voting…?? How sad, that Canadians and I speak of the vast majority with ZERO BALLS who for once, could stand on their convictions and vote accordingly yet dont. It literally DISGUSTS me to hear from so called Cons that voting for MAX is “splitting the vote”. What a pile of Leftist inspired BS.

He’s the ONLY Conservative in this RACE ffs.

EVERYone else is nothing more than a Slack Jawed, Limp Wristed, Pandering, UN ASS Kissing, Terrorist Loving, Climate Crusading, Alphabet souped, Personal Pocket Filling, Opened Border, Trough feeding bit of subhuman FILTH….who will do nothing to prevent this country from imploding as they plunder to enrich themselves while handing every Shithole Country on the planet – MIllions/Billions of Canadian Tax Dollars.

    Alberta will SEPARATE.
    Effin Bet on it.
    ………and in the meantime..?? #BernierNation

    1. Nope sorry, I like my guns more than I like your ideals. That alone is reason enough to hold nose and vote Dairy Queen.

This election is about destroying Aladdin. If I can’t get what I want at least I can deny my enemies getting what they want.

Oh can you name one decision made by Grand Maxipad, the consequences off, Aladdin would not approve?

      / — crickets chirping — /

        1. Every time you Angels try to sound witty and eloquent you produce miserable results like the one above.

You suck even at trolling. The only thing you’re capable of off is mindless spam.

Again, which of Grand Maxipad’s actions ever went against Aladdin’s wishes?

You got nothing. We all know it. He is nothing more than a Librano useful idiot with a vendetta fueled temper tantrum.

  18. Well isn’t this nice Trudeau left two Senate seats open while Harper left Trudeau 22 seats to fill.

The LibCons Party of one helping each other out to the demise of everything Canadian…

Harper signed UN Agendas and Scheer had a mandatory vote on Climate. No free thinking MP’s allowed.

As of 1 September 2019, there are 103 sitting senators. Of the sitting senators: 58 are members of the Independent Senators Group, 29 are members of the senate caucus of the Conservative Party of Canada, 9 are members of the Senate Liberal Caucus (unaffiliated with the Liberal Party of Canada), and 7 are non-affiliated. Two seats are currently vacant.[5]

    1. You mean the Harper whose party Grand Maxipad was a member at the time? That Harper? And what was Grand Maxipad (a member of the ruling party) doing about it at the time?

        1. Nope, not gonna fly. He did not quit over Harper not nominating senators. He only quit after he failed to win the leadership and thus begun a campaign of sabotage. A petulant Frenchie with a permanent temper tantrum.

          1. Yes, of course, how is that relevant? Can you Maxbots stop jumping from issue to issue every time you’re unable to address the preceding reply?

  19. Another stupid move by the Conservative war room is not allowing Doug Ford to punch back at Trudeau who is using him against Conservatives. Ford could do Trudeau more damage than he would the Conservatives, he has lots of ammo, he inherited the biggest deficit in the history of the province. This is so typical of Conservative’s running scared and political stupidity. It’s hard to have to vote for stupidity but in this case we have to decimate the Trudeau Liberals and there’s only one choice to pull that off.

    1. I agree that the Ontario Tories should be allowed to speak to the misrepresentations being perpetrated by Mr. Trudeau and his local candidates. Chief among these misrepresentations concern the alleged “cuts” to health care and education, wherein one can still be accused of “cutting” services when, in fact, one is increasing expenditures at 3 or 4 times the rate of inflation.

Mr. Ford is not the messenger for this task: the entire point of the Liberal provocations is to get him to start talking, no matter how reasonable the content and presentation he delivers. Instead, I would put forward the Minister of Finance, Rod Phillips, Health Minister Christine Elliott and a few others, perhaps, to deliver the message in an even-toned and dispassionate way. This would have the added value of showcasing the bench strength of the Ontario Tories, which is nigh on formidable, actually.

As to Mr. Menzies, I believe, based on what has emerged so far, that the national Conservative campaign should apologize to him for the treatment he appears to have received at the hands of Party officials. Assuming what he says is true, and I have no reason to doubt him, especially considering the statement that Mr. Lawton highlights in his Tweet, this is pretty sloppy stuff. Somebody’s either not getting or not reading the memos. I would recommend further that the Party’s lawyers be directed immediately to investigate and make recommendations (by close of business next Monday) with respect to how the situation spiralled so badly out of control, especially with respect to what prompted the RCMP’s treatment of Mr. Menzies, which was unconscionable, at the very least.

As to the rest of it, I will not be switching my vote from Conservative (I can’t, anyway, even I wanted to do so — I’ve already voted): there is simply no other credible (mostly, anyway) or properly-positioned/capable alternative to Mr. Trudeau, who is not a serious prime minister and who must be removed from office. I keep raising the name of Gerald Butts, as the determinative two words that all should be weighing as they consider their voting decision: the Province of Ontario suffered financial scorched-earth in Mr. Butts’s time at the centre of the action during 15 years of Liberal rule, with little to show for it.

I support Rebel Media — in fact, I am one of its original (small) financial contributors following the collapse of Sun News. Nevertheless, the apology apparently due to Mr. Menzies concerns organizational matters only: Mr. Scheer is well within his rights to make decisions about whom he will associate (as are we all), but there is no excuse for treating people badly.

  20. Scheer is mimicking failed Ontario PC Patric Brown. Ontario dodged a bullet when Ford was elected . I had earlier complained to my local MPP and was told that party policy (at that time) was a “Big Tent” organization .. meaning don’t offend anyone , eg. immigrants , Gays , Muslims etc.(who would never vote PC anyway).

Fortunately Brown was ejected and Ford was elected.

If , and that is a big “if” , Scheer is elected the leftist mob aided by the Islamists will immediately go on the attack , and Scheer will most likely fold like a deck of cards on significant issues , as he doesn’t have the fighting temperament as either Ford or Trump.

My fear is that Sheer is elected with a slim minority and screws up big time , loses in a confidence motion on a major issue , voters then blame the Conservatives and re-elect the Liberals with a majority.

  21. This will be an interesting test of how much pissing on the (relatively more principled) Conservative base Scheer can do before he and his party of mushy, barely conservative, anti-Liberal, CBC bag-lickers lose too much of their support to Max and his non party, while courting mushy mindless middle “centrists”. My guess is that if the PPC get over 2-3%, Scheer is toast, the Spawn returns and cries of western separatism will once again increase, leaving the CPC to find another “leader” for the sophomoric poly-sci spinners to work on castrating. Oh Canada, ain’t it great!

  22. I have just experienced censorship to the max, captcha asked me to verify a bus where there was no bus and there was no where else to go. let’s see what happens with this post. Scary shit this tell me what happened??????????

    1. If you read the captcha instructions, in that situation it will tell you that if there are no busses, click skip.

      Lesson – read the instructions.

  23. I’m not too worried about the influence of The Rebel.

I’m a premium subscriber but harbour no illusion that they have any influence or hold sway. It’s important to have independent voices in the media and for that reason I support them but for the most part they are a yapping dog barking at itself. They are entertaining from time to time and occasionally have something of value.

David Menzies is an actor, not a serious journalist.

    1. Pleasing your ‘serious journalists’ will not turn them into ‘neutral recorders’.
What ever happened to ‘diversity is our strength’, eh ?

      1. It’s hard to be taken serious when you refer to yourself as “The Menzoid”….just sayin’

        1. “Menzoid” is the nickname Charles Adler tagged Menzies with, when he was a regular guest on Adler’s cross-country afternoon show.

  24. Contrarian on this, but I actually was impressed that Scheer (or his handlers) grew a pair and ran off this guy. As I recall Scheer gave him/them an interview in the past, and they distorted it into a hit piece. Scheer said fine, if that’s the way you want to play, not playing nice with you guys any more.

Not sold on Scheer but he went up a notch for me, standing up for himself to this Menzoid loser.

  25. I absolutely agree with those stating that we need alternative voices in the media. The Rebel occasionally comes up with things that otherwise do not get covered. Without alternative voices, the door is open to totalitarianism. CBC, CTV and other MSM are all on the same page and often hostile to conservative perspectives. When was the last time CBC even had a Conservative commentator? Tom Flanigan is the last one I remember. Andrew Coyne is NOT conservative. CBC should include Rex or Conrad Black in their media commentary. They do not. Balanced coverage is not a priority for them. National Post has a couple of conservative columnists, but even the Post is not particularly conservative these days, while nearly all the other news sources are wildly leftist. Rebel offers a Conservative perspective that is otherwise lacking in the news media, but not very many people watch it.

  26. Not that it will do any good, but I went to the CPC website and found the “contact us” page and gave them my 2 cents worth. I said I was going to vote conservative but would NOT be giving them a donation. In fact any money I would have considered donating will be given to Rebel Media, Rabble.ca and PressProgress. I strongly suggested they re-think their position on allowing the MSM monopoly on “news”, and reminded them that readers/viewers of the alternative news providers are also voters, and we’re not all loons and kooks.

    1. They got your vote, they don’t care. You should of told them you’re giving a donation to Max and leaving the party. They might of upped their game.

    2. Great idea. I did the same. I told then I would no longer vote for them and that I have taken out a PPC membership.

  27. it is the accredited media where Katie Telford would go to have a few friendly stories printed.

    1. Jody Wilson-Raybould speaks to Rebel News: She’s still talking to the RCMP!

The independent MP has attracted all-party support and brought a huge crowd for her recent book launch in Ottawa!

  28. Now that CPC Scheerperites have indicated Rebel Media is considered ‘loyal opposition’, it’s easier to support the Rebel and vote the CPC candidate in one’s riding, if only to add statistically to CPC numbers.

A minority PM Scheer reliant upon Bernier for Parliamentary support would be a fitting sequel to the glory days of Pierre Trudeau and René Lévesque.

David Menzies is a political actorvist and a mensch, and it’s good to see him part of a team holding Conservative feet to the fire.

  29. I am outraged by what happened to Menzies. Does the CPC consist of dolts? I am reconsidering my vote . . .

    1. Were you outraged at what happened to Andrew Lawton of True North last week?

      Just askin’

  30. I believe in balanced budgets, free speech, small government, nationalism as opposed to globalism, low taxes ( a lot lower than today’s theft), the right to self defence of person and property, the limiting of the power of the police and the courts. Freedom of association and of choice.
I guess that makes me a rabid right winger. So be it. I can live with that.

      1. Yes. I think so. Unfortunately there isn’t a “none of the above” box on the ballot.

  31. I was leaning toward the CPC for this election. Good local candidate running against a very evil liberal incumbent. Nothing on the leader to make me want to vote for or against him and his opponent in black face is completely not worth voting for. Max has been a real disappointment with his silliness so Scheer is the only real alternative. (Any Albertan voting NDP or their cousins the Greens is a slow learner or a masochist). However Scheer is a professional politician first and foremost. He has spent almost his entire adult life in the house of commons. Being a politician pays better than being an insurance ‘broker’ and it has a pension plan worth cheating for I guess. However what really concerns me is the Menzoid episode. Putting aside the Rebel’s tactics or political slant – putting a journalist in handcuffs? Really? I am not one given to profanity but Whiskey Tango Foxtrot what is happening in this country!!!? I may just sit this election out since there is no one to vote for.

    1. Max’s silly games???

Blame Max for your Scheer disappointment in your grand pooblah…

We can see right through your thin Scheer lying veneers..

Trying to prop up your puppet Scheer but he fatally miscalculated:

    2. Was it the CPC that cuffed The Menzoid? Or was it the cops? Over stepping?

I’m not going to defend Scheer or throw him under the bus. He can defend himself – or not. I don’t care one way or the other.

Assuming it was the CPC that had him arrested based on the fact that it happened at a CPC event is specious. Your dislike of Scheer doesn’t alter the facts.

      1. Go watch the video and get back to me. The Schteer has some really nasty people around him. Does not look good on the CPC. I can go with a plausible explanation but the CPC simply doesn’t have one for this behavior. Much as I don’t want blackface back I simply can’t vote for that kind of behavior.

  32. Wacky coincidence that Maxime Bernier got kicked out of Cabinet for (as a last straw) allowing confidential documents to fall into the hands of the Hells Angels.

Meanwhile his biggest promoter and shameless apologist on this web forum is called “Angel”.

    Wacky stuff I say.

  33. Yes that does explain it. The Rebel is a complete POS it’s not ‘news’ it’s just lies. Dissociating from these losers is a basic must-do of any right-of-center organization.

    1. But of course the most effective Canadian media that challenges your Librano paymasters has to be purged. Jawohl.
