September 18, 2019: Reader Tips

I don’t know how it’s going to turn out, except for one thing: 2020 is going to be the most fun you’ve ever had during a Presidential campaign.

Thread’s open.

  1. Any possibility that we could encourage Justin to recreate his shoe shuffle performance ala India? He set a new low for the lefty crowd.

  2. I am sorry, it will only be fun if we (President Trump, the Republic, and I) win. The election is too crucial for fun and games. And every passing day fills me with more disgust at the completely ruthless, shameless, fallacious tactics of the media party that Al Capone would be ashamed of. And they keep getting away with it. Bill Clinton (for example) is a sexual predator and rapist and is still getting a pass from the media party. Justice Kavanaugh is an honorable man with an impeccable record, having been investigated many times in his steps up the judicial ladder, and they are trying to destroy him with outright lies. President Trump’s unexpected election really smoked all the cockroaches out. I don’t see how anyone with an ounce of decency can vote for any Democrat any more.
I am convinced we will win absent voting fraud. We better make every effort to minimize it. One thing at least the Republicans better do is to have tight voter i.d. wherever we can do it. Every vote counts. Have state auditors in blue cities. Have federal agents in blue states. Review the voter rolls starting right now.

    1. Because they never had an ounce of decency, and never will.

We are fighting “by any means”; believe it, live it, act like it every second every day. They will SWAT you, they will lie about you, they will try to hack your internet connected brake pedal, …

    2. Of course, this is deadly serious business (re-electing Trump). However, with a dull-witted electorate (hint: they’re not as highly educated and rational as you) mocking humor is a powerful weapon. Decades of “fair play” by the likes of John McCain, Romney, and the Bush Family resulted in tremendous LOSS to the American middle class. The GOPe were just as bad as the MSM in that they believed THEY controlled the narrative. A nice, polite, refined, well-spoken, narrative extolling the virtue and profit of exporting the American middle class while importing replacement workers at a fraction of your wages.

But then … the internet happened. People communicated to people. Person to person. With no GOPe or MSM filter. The invention of the internet, social media, and blogs (such as SDA) was a paradigm shift as important as moveable type and Martin Luther’s treatise nailed to the Wittenberg Door. The people are now FREE to speak and interpret political policies directly with one another. And just as the internet revealed your grandmother’s Blue Danish plates were not rare and limited … so too, intelligent discourse and political insight is as common as a Beanie Baby. There is no rare repository of wisdom held ONLY by the GOPe, MSM, or some “respected” writer at the National Review.

The history of political discourse is replete with vicious and biting humor. Political cartoons are as old as politics itself. Sometimes, the shortest distance to the truth is satirical mockery. Simple truths that resonate in the minds and emotional core of the average voter. Saturday Night Live stopped doing their job … their REAL job … of mocking hypocrisy on both sides of the political spectrum several decades ago. So too, with the editorial pages of nearly every news outlet in America. The ‘narrative’ is no longer held captive by slow-talkers on the evening news. The REAL narrative is back in the hands of every internet keyboard warrior, photoshop expert, and meme progenitor.

The ever-polite, ever-duplicitous MSM wouldn’t DARE call-out Elizabeth Warren’s appropriation of Native American culture. Which leaves the job to PDJT and … his people. I don’t know who spliced Warren’s face and shrill voice into this “campy” old “Indian musical” … but it is hilarious … and pointed. Pointed like a sharp stick in her eye. The kind of sharp stick that utterly derails a political campaign, faster than a disjointed, rambling Biden speech about something that never actually happened. Well done. Bravo to the author of this piece. It goes straight to the superficial hearts and minds of the average voter.

    3. Some of we Canadians are cheering for a good US result in 2020. Your best American effort should be on the voter ID front. There can be no excuse for people to not have ID in any state. How does any legitimate person in the USA not have any ID? Yes, it will include people now with fake ID, but it is a start. Check out Elections Canada for proxie IDs, like utility bills. Homeless people can vote here. I think we do this quite well with our rules in Canada, not perfect, of course.

      1. If you cannot PROVE who you are at the polling place … you should NOT be allowed to VOTE. Period. What’s so difficult about that? And with all the technology available to us … every polling place in each State should be interconnected electronically … so if someone attempted to vote twice … it would be STOPPED.

    1. Do check out the one about Fraud from the Union of Concerned Scientists. It is astonishing that so many people believe MSM on this. In Canada it looks like global warming (aka Climate Change) is accepted fact. I think the only cure may be a brutally cold year. Not something I would relish, but so far the evil agenda proceeds and few question it, even in the face of facts.

      1. I think you are right. We need an Indonesian volcano and a winter like 1816, without a summer, the year my ancestors came to Canada. These tough Scots and North Britons survived and went on to building a fairly prosperous life in Ontario, as it warmed up. I agree that we humans should do our best to clean up our mess, but banning everything emitting co2 is INSANE. Personally, I will never buy fake food.

      2. In the area where we live, the local press pushes our “draught”…This year has been cooler and wetter than we’ve experienced since moving here, but the paper says it’s been another draught year. The bullhorn that the editor uses to further the U.N.’s agenda regarding ‘climate change’ extends to knocking Maxime Bernier. She spoke of a lack of civility recently, yet she’s the writer who is guilty of putting down people who disagree with her lofty view.

        1. The California water supply is as much as it had ever been, or can be under present conditions. Most of the supply actually comes from the snow pack in the Sierras. This year, the snow pack is double normal, with high moisture content. The reservoirs are as full as they dare make it. And yet the utilities still scream “drought” and charge “drought condition rates.”
California is semi-arid. It has always been. The obvious solution is to build more reservoirs, in an integrated water reserve/flood control system. There is enough rain. It is just that in the wet years most of the rain run out to the ocean. (The California Aqueduct system is the kind of infrastructure state/local governments should undertake. It is good as far as it goes, but very little is done to save the rain water falling locally in Southern California.)

  3. Honest Hillary to the rescue!
    https://thehill.com/homenews/news/461723-hillary-clinton-voter-suppression-has-led-to-crisis-in-democracy-in-the-us

“Clinton said she had been counseling Democratic White House hopefuls to warn them that voter suppression, hacking, fake news stories and a lack of election security in 2016 had contributed to her own election loss and that a failure to address those issues could lead Democrats to defeat once again in 2020.”

    This poor womyn was robbed!

    1. “This poor womyn was robbed!” She was robbed of her mental function. Her campaign consisted of Orange Man bad. Meanwhile Trump ran on peace, the economy and jobs. She campaigned where she had already won while Trump campaigned where it mattered. Trump’s win was no mystery to everyone other than Hillary.

      1. Whatever the medical contraption she conceals under her designer moo-moo is doing to keep her alive, has also poisoned the cognitive reasoning regions of HER brain. SHE has become medically incompetent

    1. And to think that I once admired and respected the NYT, at least as far as its science news was concerned…..

I could think of a few other things to say about it, considering the subject of the article, but decorum, quite wisely, prevents me from writing them.

  4. Kate,

Thank you. I am laughing so hard, I am crying. The fact that the song is soooo politically incorrect by today’s lame standards just adds to the humor.

  5. The insanity embraced by the democrats is only eclipsed by the insanity embraced by the Canadian parties. They are falling all over each other to add to Canada’s debt with give away after give away. Don’t they know the country is broke? The Americans are watching morons tell them that they will violate their constitution, stop all fossil fuels, stop all air travel and the list of idiocy continues to grow. I now doubt there are enough rational people in both countries to save us from ourselves. We deserve to be eliminated from our prosperous, free country. Free, I should not have used that word because Canadians are far from free.

    1. Sounds like he’s talking about the ideals of the Canadian Liberal Party.

Listen to the words, then think of the Canadian Media.

Boy did they let us down. Vomitation is expected.

“For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence–on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day.

It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.

Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.

Without debate, without criticism, no Administration and no country can succeed– and no republic can survive. That is why the Athenian lawmaker Solon decreed it a crime for any citizen to shrink from controversy. (lot of crooks in Canada)

And that is why our press was protected by the First (emphasized) Amendment– the only business in America specifically protected by the Constitution– not primarily to amuse and entertain, not to emphasize the trivial and sentimental, not to simply “give the public what it wants”–but to inform, to arouse, to reflect, to state our dangers and our opportunities, to indicate our crises and our choices, to lead, mold educate and sometimes even anger public opinion. This means greater coverage and analysis of international news– for it is no longer far away and foreign but close at hand and local. It means greater attention to improved understanding of the news as well as improved transmission. And it means, finally, that government at all levels, must meet its obligation to provide you with the fullest possible information outside the narrowest limits of national security…

And so it is to the printing press–to the recorder of mans deeds, the keeper of his conscience, the courier of his news– that we look for strength and assistance, confident that with your help man will be what he was born to be: free and independent.”

      1. Did you all vote liberal at one point in time? If so, suck it up boy, you have screwed us all. Should have said, did ya’ll vote liberal but hey I will be willing to bet that all Canadians have voted the socialist line at some point in their lives. We are the enemy because we are stupid.

  6. The Chinese government will be holding celebrations across Canada to mark the anniversary of the fascist commies taking over China. So far Groper’s government hasn’t said whether it will attend any of the festivities. Story at the National Post website.

    1. We should be grateful if he does only that. It wouldn’t surprise me if he thinks it should be a national holiday over here.

  7. I don’t know about “fun” but at times it will certainly be hysterical.
Chicken Little gains more and more credibility every day crying, “The Climate, the Climate! We’re all gonna die.”
    We certainly are.

  8. Lilley at the Toronto Sun website reports that illegal border crossings are up again. Thousands have walked across the border. Hopefully they are not running out of hotel rooms in Toronto. Trudeau’s Globe and Mail reports that Groper has decided that the peasants don’t need to know how much his campaign promises are going to cost. They will only release costs from the PBO for programs they wish to promote.

    1. The other thing Scheer and the media should be focusing on is their plans to increase the cost of the carbon tax. Inflation is already a problem. Liberals will drive it up and up.

  9. I see on CTV news this am a group advocating for a government suicide policy regarding kids who want to kill themselves. I wonder how big that bureaucracy would have to be before it’s ineffectiveness was adequate. It seems that young Indians on reserve property are at great risk. I am not sure whether the suicide policy would be to prevent suicide or increase it. Giving people what they want and living in the middle of nowhere could cause many to consider suicide not just kids. Teaching them the value of life and morality, and giving them something productive to do would go a long way to easing this problem.

    1. I always start my day with SDA but until Angel is done posting which is hopefully after the election I will no longer read the comments section.

    2. One reason I am pleased about Max in the debates is that he will go after Trudeau — at least I hope so. Scheer was foolish not to use him in this way. The effect could be to drive people away from Liberals to Conservatives. Some votes will also go to Max, but we are all better off if we can wake up Canadians about the disaster of the Liberal government. They are globalists. They will destroy the country.

  10. The Rt. Hon. Justin Trudeau, and his Liberals, are refusing to turn over to the Parliamentary Budget Office sufficient information for the office to fully cost the Liberals’ platform:
    https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-trudeau-delays-release-of-independent-costing-of-liberal-campaign/

In every election, the parties all get their platforms costed by the PBO. No matter though. The media is hunting for the next 10-tear-old Facebook post, any “controversial” post.

    1. David Murrell: A new election promise by Trudeau, attempting to buy seniors with tax revenues.

      On the CTV news site:
“Justin Trudeau says a re-elected Liberal government would increase old age security by an extra 10 per cent once a senior turns 75, and will boost the Canada Pension Plan survivor’s benefit by 25 per cent.”

      1. There has been, over the past decade or so, a lengthy discussion on how future CPP payments are to be financed. Mostly by gouging younger workers with higher CPP taxes. But the Rt. Hon. one won’t mention that.

  11. Well here is a story you won’t see in the mainstream media. Trudeau’s iPolitics website has a story on how the Liberals are sticking with their candidate who was spreading 9/11 conspiracy theories. But don’t worry, they also have Scheer is Hitler stories.

  12. Warren was calling herself a pioneer the other day. She doesn’t know which side she is on.

  13. There is a rumour floating around the internet the the head of the RCMP is finance minister Bill Morneau’s cousin. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

  14. Trudeau’s Globe and Mail reports that whiny indians have scored another victory. A court has ruled that the B.C. government has to review its environmental approval of the trans mountain pipeline. In other news, whiny indians are complaining that parties in the election campaign are not promising enough free stuff for them.

  15. When your society has collectively made the decision, that being a victim, being part of a particular group, is more important than the content of your character.

The right membership gets you jobs, votes, handouts, the ability to abuse select other groups with the approval of your conscience…

“The surest way to work up a crusade in favor of some good cause is to promise people they will have a chance of maltreating someone. To be able to destroy with good conscience, to be able to behave badly and call your bad behavior ‘righteous indignation’ — this is the height of psychological luxury, the most delicious of moral treats.” ~ Aldous Huxley

The opioid epidemic does not apply only to chemical compounds; there are moral opioids too.

    1. Ah but like the Thatcher theorem about what happens when they run out of other people’s money, there is another that precedes a progressive program’s demise when one of their protected species runs afoul of another of their protected species.

    2. Brilliant. Religion is no longer the opiate of the masses as Marx penned … Now … virtue, eco-morality, victimhood, racial composition… ad nauseam have all become the designer-opiates of the masses. God help us all. Now that’s irony.

  16. Anyone think it’s funny that Elizabeth Warren is guesting on Stephen Colbert tonight with The Brady Bunch?

    1. I am wondering if the cabal has determined that she is the most viable candidate at this point. I don’t think Biden will make it to the election, and Bernie is the same as Warren, but older and a white male. Hillary is working on Warren. She might be their back up candidate if Michelle won’t come on board. Actually, Hillary does not like Michelle, so Warren may be Hillary’s chosen horse. You can bet that if the Clinton’s are pushing her, they will be behind the scenes running things in the unlikely case she wins. Sadly for them, Warren has no appeal. Hard core leftists might vote for her, but many will stay at home. Anyway, I think Warren is the Dem’s plan B. She could be picked as a VP if Hillary herself decides to jump in the ring.

  17. That is where Huxley was wrong; the cause does not have to be “good”. Simply a cause. Once you get people to commit, they can’t back out without looking like idiots…

  18. Oh my God, Harper/Scheer is preventing old people from buying Christmas presents for their grand kids. Yes, Groper was in full rant on TV today. It was Harper this and Harper that. Then came the questions from his loyal Unifor media. Once again instead of actually answering the questions he ranted about Harper. When asked about how he is going to reduce the deficit he blamed Harper and stated that bond agencies are happy with his fiscal policies. In other words, he can easily borrow more money. When asked about whether he will have to raise CPP premiums to pay for his promises to seniors, he ranted about Harper again and said he would have to talk to the provinces. You know, the provinces that hate him. When asked about cyber security and fake news, he ranted that Scheer was running a smear campaign like they have in the United States, Justin is running a clean campaign. I almost choked on that one. And he trashed the New Brunswick premier for not taxing pollution. Remember, don’t vote for Harper this election.

    1. Someone needs to remind the drug addled Dumbkopf that it’s not not 2015.

      Because it’s 2019!

He should be told in the upcoming debate that he is paranoid from all the dope he’s smoking!

  19. Ah yes…Elizabeth of the the Warrenoakees. A small tribe closely related to the Wannabees.

    1. That was not a very convincing analysis. How does Bernier’s presence result in Scheer coming across as too right of centre? I have a different take. For starters, Bernier’s positions are common sense positions thst will resonate with many. He should come across as a stark contrast to the mealy-mouthed Trudeau. I don’t know about Bernier’s debating skills but I hope he takes some serious jabs at Trudeau. His position on imigration should resonate in Quebec (They are the ones banning hijabs, etc. )If it does, likely many of the votes he would pick up are Liberal votes. If Bernier causes people to start questioning Trudeau’s policies, Conservatives could benefit. Bernier may be a bridge too far for some Liberal centrists, but he could shift dome Liberal votes to Scheer. In Quebec, his home territory, I think Bernier benefits directly from aggressive attacks on Liberals. Conservatives in Quebec do not have enough if a presence. And if he steers votes from Liberals to Conservatives in the rest of the country, he could ultimately hold the balance of power. It is beneficial to Bernier for Conservatives to do well, or at least better than the Liberals/NDP. Hopefully he will build a successful strategy around that. A strong Bernier performance in Quebec would do the trick. And Quebeqers always like to surprise us.

  20. Saying NO to mass immigration makes you a racist. (The Whitey part is understood since only Whiteys can be racist).

    https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/goldstein-trudeaus-immigration-policies-alarm-many-canadians

The parroted line that immigration is the answer to an aging population has been refuted. it is “one of the most widespread and comforting self-delusions since humanity believed the sun went round the earth”. “The idea has been discredited by every authority that has looked at it – from the UN, to the Council of Europe, the European Commission, the UK Government Immigration Advisory Service, the Home Office, and the OECD”

  21. Mark Bonokoski at the Toronto Sun website, reports on a Liberal MP handing out money on an indian reserve that is totally lawless. Lots of illegal pot shops, hashish being sold, and of course illegal smoke shops.

  22. Two interesting stories at the National Post website. A documentary on Jordan Peterson has been cancelled at a theatre because it was too upsetting for the staff. The other story is about how the second in command of the Canadian Labour Congress is in Syria where he was interviewed by Venezuela TV. He called for all sanctions against Syria to be lifted. Remember that when you see those union ads on TV denouncing Scheer and Ford.

  23. As a reminder that Maritimers are the largest “handout” wh*res in the country….

Federal election 2019 roundup: Gerald Butts joins up with Trudeau on eastern swing
    https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/election-2019/federal-election-2019-roundup-trudeau-makes-pension-plan-promise-while-scheer-takes-on-corporate-welfare

Illegal activity leading to a resignation ? All is forgiven as long as the local socialist boy Gerry comes home and promises them free stuff.

If Quebec wants to separate again, we should demand they take them along.

    1. “Scheer wants to end “oil company subsidies”????”

Liar. Scheer wants East Coast oil companies/provinces to pay the same as Western oil companies do. Nothing more, nothing less.
I agree with Scheer. Maybe these Eastern A-Holes who voted LPC will begin to understand what equalization does to the West!

  24. That was not a very convincing analysis. How does Bernier’s presence result in Scheer coming across as too right of centre? I have a different take. For starters, Bernier’s positions are common sense positions that will resonate with many. He should come across as a stark contrast to the mealy-mouthed Trudeau. 1. No one confuses Andy 2% with “right”, especially no the Dairy Queen. He says he wants to pretend to be a Liberal (which is far left these days) but in fact he just wants to be loved by the CBC.

Watch for the special pants he’ll be wearing during the debates. The ones with the “portals”.

  25. SHe’s following the Trudeau strategy. He too went around, dancing bangra-style! “I’m an Indian too!”

  26. Groper finished his speech in Nova Scotia a little while ago. He ranted about Harper. Although he did take time to rant about Doug Ford and Jason Kenney as well. Join Team Trudeau, because its 2015.

  27. Trudeau’s Maclean’s magazine has gone full commie. Admitted communist and Maduro supporter Naomi Klein rants about climate change. Only communism can save us. To be fair she has also written a story recently for Trudeau’s Toronto Star. And don’t miss the other stories that socialism is wonderful.
