Break Them Up

Into a hundred thousand million pieces;

Michelle Malkin revealed last Thursday that she had “triggered” Google’s social credit system. According to a whistleblower, Malkin’s popular michellemalkin.com has been digital-blacklisted by the search & data giant […]

That’s not all. Malkin’s whistleblower revealed that Google has similarly blacklisted Twitchy, FrontPage, The Daily Caller, Legal Insurrection, NewsBusters, American Thinker, LifeNews, and more. These are all conservative voices, and none can be found among the many leftwing sites promoted by Google’s mobile newsfeed. Chances are, if you weren’t already aware of sites like Malkin’s, the world’s near-monopoly search engine won’t help you find them.

  1. I have been reading Malkin’s material for a long time now. I doubt that google will be able to make her disappear. This social credit stuff will however hurt the average, little guy, in the near future. If the Canadian socialists in all their incarnations decide to start this, then I would guess that someone like me would very quickly find they are in poverty. It is an evil and dangerous idea, one that should provoke serious action against any and all who would suggest it.

  2. I was just in Rea’s Italian restaurant in Calgary yesterday. The staff in the front were complaining to each other because their ad on facebook was banned for being discriminatory

  3. Rupert Murdoch noticed that there was a demand for conservative viewpoints that the liberal channels were not fulfilling so he launched Foxnews — a commercial success.

    What’s stopping conservatives from launching alt-Facebook, alt-Google and alt-Apple. Come to think of it folks, you know deep down that you have no chance of pulling off commercial successes like these titans of technology.

    Movies with leftist themes like Avatar, Titanic and Star Wars have grossed fantastic sums. What do you have to offer that cinema-goers would like to freely go out and see?

  4. Sorry Kate – you deserve to be blacklisted too. It’s just typical American disinterest in all things Canadian.

  5. Legal Insurrection is an interesting choice to blacklist. It’s not a particularly prestigious or massively popular blog. It does have a following that is good sized. Those that do frequent the site know that it’s run by Bill Jacobson (Law professor at Cornell).

    What that site does do, however, is absolutely lambaste Elizabeth Warren. It does so accurately as well as constantly. So, if you want to know who the Democrat elites have chosen for their candidate…there’s your first clue.

  6. I just typed “Michelle Malkin” in DuckDuckGo and in Google. Both showed her website as first item found.

  7. Here’s one of the more far out conservative news aggregate sites.
    http://censored.news/ You may have to try variations of that url. Usually I end up at bing to get to it. Your mileage may vary.

    It has zero hedge and breitbart. It also gets a LOT more fringe with SHTF and a few other places. You have to work to find a path through the Conspiracy theories. I get to CHOOSE what sounds whacko and what seems reasonable. If I use duckduckgo and bing, I can usually find out if there are references to other sources on a news item. Often I get RT as a backup, which is Russian propaganda. *sigh*

    Granted, it’s not like picking up the morning paper and just reading whatever they fling at you. SDA is really a gem. Personal stories from all over Canada plus the U.S. are valid reporting. (except for a couple of agitators who do have the gumption to post under their own nicknames) Anyway tread carefully at censored news and they do deserve the clicks for trying to stay relevant in the misinformation age.
