Uh oh. Here comes another $100 fine.

The report is here.

  1. Hm. I guess this means our beloved PM Trudeau will be arrested, removed from Office, and the trial will commence in about six months.

Ge willikers! I wonder who will take over as leader of the LPC?! I DO hope the incoming PM, Andy Scheer ( with a “c”), Jagmeet Singh, Maximilian Bernier or Elizabeth May, will recognize Trudeau’s many years of sterling service to our great nation and will grant him a full pardon.

The wheels of justice are well oiled and run smoothly.

    1. With Bill C-74, Liberals break election promise

More than a year ago, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stood in the House of Commons and spoke some truths about omnibus legislation. He said that, for many years, the previous government used omnibus legislation as a way of avoiding debate. He complained that the Harper Conservatives would “put everything into a piece of legislation, whether it had links to it or not.”

Trudeau was right. Omnibus bills were abused by the Harper government to the detriment of democracy. Omnibus legislation too often leads to a divisive all-or-nothing approach to the legislative process. This is especially true because when legislation is overbroad, filled with unconnected amendments and unfocused, debate is difficult and evidenced-based study is next to impossible.

The Liberals said they would be different than Harper — in fact, it was an explicit election promise. “Stephen Harper has also used omnibus bills to prevent Parliament from properly reviewing and debating his proposals. […] We will not resort to legislative tricks to avoid scrutiny.”

Canada: Government Introduces “Made-In-Canada” Deferred Prosecution Agreement framework

Following our earlier bulletin commenting on Canada’s 2018 Budget commitment to introducing a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) regime for corporate wrongdoing, the Canadian Government swiftly introduced legislation to deliver on its commitment. The legislative framework for DPAs is to be introduced by amendments to the Criminal Code, which in turn are contained within Part 6, Division 20 of the omnibus Bill C-74 – Budget Implementation Act.

      1. omniBUS bills.
        “they all do it”.
one more and itself alone sufficient, why I did NOT vote for harper the control freak.
thus we threw him under the BUS as in omniBUS. didja get dat there stevie? YOU did it to yourself.
bla bla bla all the ‘good stuff’, BURIED under numerous and clear indications of a closet tyrant.
now to do the same thing to harper’s replacement.
        see how that works?

        libcons.
howcum they dont make it official and all join up under that handle? imagine the juggernaut THEN !!!
(because Cdn voters have a high proportion of broken brain syndrome).

        1. Nope. It’s because of “climate change”. Why not? It seems to be blamed for everything else, right?

  2. Just when they thought they had the genie back in the bottle.

What makes this story so resonating is that its foundation is based on a law they passed solely for the benefit of one company headquartered in Montreal while an entire sector of the economy centered in Alberta was seeing massive layoffs.

    1. I am stunned at the response Justin made to this report, “We were only trying to protect Canadian jobs!!!”. You broke the law and are claiming it was only to protect jobs, in Quebec. Where was the lawbreaking to protect jobs in western Canada? Oh, that’s right we didn’t want to protect those jobs, in fact we passed more laws that will most likely cost westerners more jobs. What a freak show this beta is.

      1. Ken, during the press conference the Rt. Hon. Trudeau also mentioned the Anne McLellan report, a report that gives “recommendations” to correct “prior mistakes”. We can all breathe easier knowing that Liberal crony Anne McLellan wrote this report. By early October, all of this will be forgotten by the corporate media cartel.

        1. ” By early October, all of this will be forgotten by the corporate media cartel.”

In my opinion you’re giving the corrupt Government Media too much credit… they’ve already forgot this scandal… 16 dollar orange juice? Duffy hysteria ? nope… the corrupt Government Media admire the BUtts/Turdhole basic dictatorship.

  3. Unless I misunderstood, it also sounds like Trudeau refused to waive privilege to allow the Ethics Commissioner to conduct a full investigation.

  4. Whatever.

Will be out of the news cycle by Friday. The newspaper need to have their page 20 coverage of the “the latest news from yesterday” to earn their part of the $600M.

By Saturday this will be gone and not remembered.

  5. I am not a Trudeau fan but Wilson-Raybould was simply too stupid and self-important to figure out the game that was going on. The Liberals created a political solution to a criminal case mess and the idiot Wilson-Raybould didn’t bite. Trudeau was right to have fired her and should have made himself Attorney-General and done whatever he wanted – no conflict then.

    1. Actually on this one she was smart enough to realize that any decision to override the DPP had to be made pubic with reasons. She was smart enough to know this wouldn’t pass the smell test and that if things started to get ugly she was going under the bus as a sacrificial lamb.

      1. agreed. she KNEW the jig was up. she was either
a: a kowtow patsy ‘team player’ scapegoat, or
b: quickly out of a job.

        a classic lose-lose situation.
she came out of it with a clear conscience, anything else is speculation.
the really good part is it showed what a tyrannical BASTARD TURDoo 2.0 is and always will be.
(but only for those not sporting the de riguer ‘rose coloured LIEberal eye wear’)

  6. Only PM to be found to break the law not just once but twice. Nothing will happen. Nothing matters.

    1. Exactly. The first time he got a slap on the wrist and it all disappeared down the rabbit hole. This one will disappear too.

    1. Scheerp held a press conference today demanding the RCMP “investigate” their boss Turdhole… hilarious stuff… Scheerp knows the RCMP belong to the LIberal Party but he plays out the charade regardless… Turdhole can do as he pleases, criminal or otherwise and everyone knows it… including Scheerp… The corrupt RCMP didn’t “investigate” Liberal corruption when this story first broke so why ask them again… asking the Liberal Party’s RCMP to investigate the Liberal Party is about as stupid and useless as asking Elections Canada (run by Quebec Liberals) to administer the election rules fairly and equitably… not gonna happen. This country is as corrupt as any other french colonial shithole and that is not going to change anytime soon because Turdholians love themselves some Liberal Party corruption, the more the better.

  7. And now Trudeau’s response. Ahhh, ummm, Doug Ford, ahhh, ummm, Scheer is Harper, Ahhhhhhhh. um. See my socks. At this point his loyal media cheer and give him a standing ovation.

  8. I think it is possible that the Liberals wish to appear impartial during an election year OR that the Liberals are finally ousting Justin given how disastrous he has been.

What is funny was that he was expecting a good report.

    Oops.

  9. I skimmed a bunch of the report and it is far worse than I expected. There absolutely needs to be a criminal investigation as it is abundantly clear now that not only was the PMO interfering with the administration of justice, they were actively colluding with SNC Lavalin to do so. If we had an impartial and non-partisan RCMP there would be people in courtrooms soon…

  10. Maxime Bernier
    @MaximeBernier

I’m not at all surprised by the Ethics Commission report.

It simply confirms that Mr. Trudeau has been totally consistent in his vote-buying approach.

The plan was always to buy votes in Quebec by giving favours to SNC-Lavalin, and use whatever means to achieve it.

The first step was amending the Criminal Code to allow a remediation agreement.

Mr. Trudeau then really wanted to go through with it, despite the opposition of his attorney general, and so it’s no surprise that he inappropriately pressured her.

Deputy leader Lisa Raitt said a Conservative government would probably have done a similar deal with SNC, but after a debate in cabinet, and publicly, instead of doing it through the backdoor as Trudeau did.

Both Libs and Cons practice crony capitalism and favouritism, either openly or covertly.

I’m the only one who has said there would have been no deal with SNC.

There won’t be any favours and crony capitalism under a @peoplespca
    government.

  11. “Mario Dion’s report also says he was denied access to sensitive government information during his investigation by Privy Council Clerk Ian Shugart”

How can Trudeau expect Canadians to buy into “Openness and Transparency” when clearly it doesn’t even exist within the Liberal Party?

  12. Think of the significance of this move (and it’s not the optics leading the campaign). Someone INSIDE the government suddenly had the cojones to actually allow the Ethics Commissioner make this ruling. This did not happen in a political vacuum. There are deep cracks beneath the Sunny Ways edifice of the sitting government; someone is offering support to the Ethics Commissioner and office to allow them to make this ruling.

Will the opposition be smart enough to start looking for wedge issues to split the Liberals? My fear is that the CPC campaign team will think that sitting back and waiting until people get to like Scheer will be enough.

      1. I’ve been saying that since the first revelations in the Globe & Mail, a partisan Liberal paper.

    1. Ethics Commissioner is an officer of Parliament and not part of the Liberal government. There is no LEGAL way for JT and his evil cabal to stop the commissioner from investigating and ruling on JT’s despicable behaviour.

The Liberals brought out the “Cabinet Confidences” defence to block some testimony from some PMO staffers. A court challenge will be required to determine whether that is legal or not, because this tactic has never been attempted by any government before.

To be clear: no Liberal wanted this Ethics investigation and ruling and the Libs would have shut it down if they could.
And one thing is clear… every vote Max gets increases the chance Justin gets re-elected.

      1. And a powerful Officer it must be.. After all, remember that $100.00 fine.. If I were Petunia, well….lol

      2. Look, the current not-conservative party is the Washington Generals to the Liberal Haarlem Globetrotters. They’re on the same team. Is it by accident, when, in all possibility the natural ruling party will lose power again, the stand-in happens to have identical policies.

Trudeau and Scheer are Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee.

Only Max offers even the possibility of some new direction for canada, which has certainly lost its way as a “post-national” UN slave state.

Or do you prefer to vote for the Bloc?

      3. ” every vote Max gets increases the chance Justin gets re-elected.” Turdhole will be re-elected regardless… the fix is in… I think some people might underestimate just how corrupt Peeairs Post National State really is… corrupt to the core.

        1. Is that all you got

          Fear mongering

          So sad

          No morals

          The LibCons are toasts

The LibCons have had their chances and blew them all for they are both corrupt to the core.

Time for some real conservative changes in 2019

          1. Great come back

I gather you can’t counter what I have said so you demean yourself instead.

You should be a better Buddy to yourself don’t you think Buddy?

      4. Dion was a carefully selected pro-Liberal guy and the Trudeau Liberals by-passed the opposition parties in appointing him ethics commissioner.

But it appears the loyal Liberal is not loyal to Justin. Which begs the question, who in the Liberal party is he loyal to?

  13. Canadian Ethics what a JOKE. Canadian Democracy does not exist, it is all a rigged scam. Now everyone let’s sing the national anthem. The Molson’s Beer song. “I Am Canadian And I Approve This Corruption” If the Liberal’s can steal 300M in Adscam and 54B from the workers and the msm call them economic genius’s. This is nothing. He will get a majority. Canadians are the dumbest of the dumb sheep. Look over there at those Racist’s. Get them quick.

  14. Surprise, the first thing Groper did at the podium today was rant about Doug Ford. He didn’t mention his scandal until it was time for his loyal reporters to ask questions. He stated that he didn’t agree with the report’s conclusions and would not apologize. Lots of clapping by his planted fans every time he answered a question.

  15. I hope to hell any action has nothing to do with bribing the evil people in foreign countries because you don’t do business with out the bribe. Canadian politics reeks of the same problem, the party in power spends our money to bribe us to vote for them Yes, Canadians are stupid and many are terminally stupid. If only someone was intelligent enough to challenge me.

  16. Just heard the tit on CFRA radio.

When you’re accused and convicted of insufferable arrogance, there’s only one thing to do: double down with more of it. The tit said he would not apologize because it was all about saving Canadian jobs. And there was applause when he said it.

Man of Man! Wait till Andy “Tiger” Scheer gets ahold of this! (eye roll)

    1. I think Andy 2% responded with: “I’m glad the PM accepts … but …” and the crowd had stoppeed listening so no one knows what he said.

  17. In other Liberal Party news, our Minister of No Defence is trashing members of the military. He wants a probe into racism in the army, navy, and air force. And so much for Justin’s promise of a clean campaign. Liberal MP Adam Vaughn posted a picture of ICE camps in the States, and stated this is what Scheer will bring to Canada.

  18. It can only be corrected by Provincial Leadership. But they have all been bought. The Provinces rented out Provincial Taxing Power to Ottawa. So we must live under the Marxist Dogma of Pierre Trudeau it is in his constitutional of Liberal Rights. You can not vote your way out of the Matrix called Canada. There is a solution Provincial UDI. But you have all grown fond of your chains have you not?

  19. Trudeau and the Corrupt Liberal Party are far more offensive than a bunch of gang-bangers shooting up Toronto. In fact I’d vote for one of those mofo’s before I ever voted for a Corrupt Liberal POS.

  20. Ethics? PMJT has ethics. In fact if he don’t like the ethics he will make new ethics. He has responsibilities to represent his handlers you know. They didn’t get him elected so they could be charged criminally.

    I want a new country

  21. Ezra Levant
    @ezralevant

Trudeau was secretly working with SNC-Lavalin against JWR. That’s what this means: “[275] the legal opinions prepared by or for the benefit of SNC-Lavalin were shared with and reviewed by the PMO… with the sole purpose of persuading Wilson-Raybould to reconsider her position.”

  22. I liked Cotton Socks’s me\wa culpa: “I accept what the Ethics Commissioner said in his report, but I disagree with it”

  23. Angel and Max had enough of your whining Please shut the FUp your liberal Bull sht is fooling no one

  24. This story will disappear by tomorrow if not later today… Turdhole skates away, again… count on it… such is life in the corrupt french colonial shithole… its like expecting first world justice in Haiti or Rawanda… fugget about it mon ami”. If anything the corrupt Government journalists and Media will try and turn Turdhole’s corrupt behaviour into a virtue, this is a certainty.

  25. He has the gall to claim he’s taking full responsibility?

Taking responsibility would have involved resigning and turning himself in to the RCMP, prepared to co-operate fully not to save his own skin but because it was the right thing to do.

Justin’s not taking responsibility. He’s begging not to be thrown in prison. And why? Because his papa used to be important?

God help me, Jeffrey Epstein was more of a man than Justin Sinclair ever has been. At least Jeff knew when to cut his losses.

  26. The complete irony of Trudeau is that he has apologized for us Canadians on every subject under the Sun but when it’s time for Justin to apologize for his corrupt wrong doings no FN way.
