When The FBI Does It, That Means That It’s Not Illegal

FBI Texts Show Agents Discussed Recruiting White House Sources To Spy For Bureau

“The course of our oversight work we have reviewed certain text messages that may show potential attempts by the FBI to conduct surveillance of President-elect Trump’s transition team,” the letter states. “In text messages exchanged between former FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok and former FBI Attorney Lisa Page, the two discussed the possibility of developing “potential relationships” at a November 2016 FBI briefing for presidential transition team staff. Specifically, it appears they discussed sending “the CI guy” to assess an unnamed person ‘demeanor’ but were concerned because it might be unusual for him to attend.”

The Senators are investigating if any “of these communications, and the precise purpose of any attempts to ‘develop relationships’ with Trump or VP Mike Pence transition team staff are not immediately clear.”

  1. Immaterial. The focus should be on the orchestrated effort to make these measures seem necessary. That’s where the meat is. That’s where the crimes are. This is a revelation that is easily controlled by a friendly and complicit press. What they can’t control is their own actual involvement in establishing a Class 1 FISA Warrant by printing specific drops so that the application could reference them as proof of the necessity.

The actions after the fact are immaterial. Ignore them. Go after the original designation.

    1. Or-son….the “spying” goes all the way back to 2014, when they were caught spying on one of Fox news reporters. Start there and cover the whole damn thing, as there in much in the news, and they can’t deny what they have already reported

      1. NME666. You’re being naive. The spying goes back, at least, to the early 80’s (and likely as far back as the early 50’s).

For example, Stefan Halper is a player in this current scenario. He was, also, a player on Reagan’s behalf in the “briefing gate” scandal. The CIA, allegedly, passed on the Carter administration’s foreign policy positions (much of it confidential) to the Reagan campaign. Halper was involved. Unsurprisingly, GHW Bush assigned Halper to a Foreign Policy advisory role in his failed campaign. Halper is also the guy that set up the legal defense fund for Oliver North.

Add to that John Brennan’s plea on twitter months ago directly to DJT. He said “Please don’t do this.” I suspect there has always been an off the books vetting process by the intelligence agencies for presidential candidates that started near the beginning of the Cold War. However, between the 1950’s and present day it was shaped and abused to acquire opposition research. The last president took this to an all new level.

The difference is that DJT is an outsider. He’s not in the club and would have no knowledge of this shady process. Not, of course, until Rogers showed up on his doorstep and gave him the cliff notes. Instead, those in the know decided it was just better to use the apparatus in place and get rid of him. They took a shot at the king and missed.

Think back to the comments that keep coming from those who have a very inside view of the entire affair. What do they always say. “It’s much bigger than what you think.” followed by, “Both political parties are subject to the results of the investigation, not just the democrats.”

        1. You are correct as far as you go Orson. Shadowy organizations are always apart of every government and how successful they are in perverting the will of the people is directly dependent upon the willingness of the governed to turn a blind eye. I suspect that our current crop originated with Donovan and the OSS. Ike called them the military industrial complex and they had things going pretty much their way until outsider John came along and almost upset the apple cart with his greenbacks and out of SE Asia nonsense. I don’t think they approved of Ronni very much either but they hate Trump with a passion because he has exposed them and if he is allowed to continue he may expose them completely. That would be the end of them. No conspiracy can survive exposure.
Since the late sixties I have been telling anyone who would listen,”The Democrats are the left fist and the Republicans are the right fist of the same beast.” The reason so many Republicans work at cross purposes is they know if Donald drains the swamp they are going down the same drain as their co conspirator Democrats.

    2. Presenting fiction, most certainly unverified information, aka opposition research was presented to the secret FISC as credible and verified INTELLIGENCE, which is was far from and every single signer of the four FISA warrants was well aware of that.

If they claim they weren’t, they are liars, negligent incompetents or criminals, or all three. Their reckoning is coming.

  2. Barr needs to clean house. The right needs to quit pillow fighting when the left has been nuclear for a generation.
