    The lesson to Albertan’s is to negotiate a new deal with Ottawa or separate. The new gas tax is just another grievance that Kenney can capitalize on get public support behind him to open talks with Ottawa. The threat of separation has to be real. Keep building public support. Does he think that the public conflates accidental man-caused forest fires with CO2 emissions from power, heat and transportation and that his carbon tax could have prevented it? I wonder if the Spawn realizes that in the “carbon free” world that Butts told him to view as the ultimate goal, Canadians collectively would be burning that amount of forest about every 10 minutes continuously for at least 6 months of the year, just for cooking and heat. Cities and towns over 1000 in population would have toxic air quality not seen since the killer smogs of London.

    Or, perhaps the Spawn knows all of this and secretly has plans to massively expand hydro and nuclear power to compensate for the massive power shift into electric vehicles after “de-carbonization”. Yah, I’ll bet that’s it. Sarc/off
