To what extent does government rhetoric become policy? A threat to a country’s stability is a pretty large threat. I assume if this is believed by Freeland and the government then the Canadian security services are involved heavily. So how many violent (destabilizing) acts have been committed by these Canadians in the last 3+ years? Minassian still hasn’t been to trial for his rental rampage that killed 10. I assume she includes him although an “incel” nut-job doesn’t seem to fit with the rest of the descriptions. And WTF is a nativist? The “incel” association with the Minassian murders has not been established. That one had all the earmarks of a Muslim extremist attack. Unfortunately, they have postponed the trial which won’t happen for a very long time. So, we won’t know who else may have been involved. The “white nationalist” claims are grossly exaggerated. I think it is a deliberate attempt to distract people from other incidents of terrorism.

She didn’t do that but all those people are bad to varying degrees. Barriers to immigration hold us back perhaps more than any other regulation. Just get out of our way.
It is telling that globalists are beginning to talk like Soviet style communists, who were never hesitant to use the N-word when describing their ideological adversaries. Reagan and Thatcher were certainly called nazis and fascists more times than anyone including Trump.
And the Soviets had long memories about actual Nazis because let’s face it, nobody else ever tried to invade their fortress. So anyone even vaguely anti-communist in their public utterances would automatically join that recalled memory, with the implication being that if you opposed communism, then you too must be a Nazi and a fascist.
It made killing ordinary people that much easier to justify, if they might have been fascists (and not just conservatives, liberals, monarchists, libertarians, who knows what just not Marxist-Leninists, and of course for Stalin, the right kind of communist too).
