  3. Sounds like a job for the US Postal Inspectors. Mail fraud and terroristic threats through the mail are FEDERAL charges. They can tell corrupt Illinois State Attorney Krimeshishia Foxxx and the pandering State Judge to pound sand.

    I don’t like this state-federal double jeopardy stuff, but where the corrupt state actors refuse to do their constitutionally required job, the feds should step in and prosecute under their authority.

      I’m familiar with an old case that started with state jurisdiction but ended up federal as it was on federal real estate. The defense was arguing about admissibility of evidence from local law enforcement. The appeal court said don’t bother because federal investigators had no control over local police and everything was allowed. One positive thing about Canada is one justice system handles local, provincial, and federal jurisdictions in most cases.

    1. It was a Dementocrat operation to get the anti-lynching bill passed. Now that’s done, it can al;l be forgotten. Dementocrat Senators and other politicians of that ilk can rest easy, mission accomplished.

  5. The FBI should get a federal warrant and seize all the files. This is corruption at its worst. Smollet is a buddy of the Obamas. If they sent a bunch of Illinois Democrats to jail, they wouldn’t be the first. Is the governor still in federal prison? Apparently 4 of the last 7 Illinois governors spent time in jail but I haven’t checked whether it is fact. Total Democrat corruption.

Robert might be on to something here…..there was early speculation that Smollett had communicated with at least the kamala harris camp and maybe even the cory booker camp at around the same time the anti lynching bill was before the house….it would explain the highly unusual deal and his continued posturing…..he knows he has the goods on some heavyweights!

  10. I heard on the radio (yes radio) that the threatening letter Smolett claimed to have received in the mail has been sent to the Feds for forensic testing and if they find Smolett’s saliva DNA on it he is in big trouble federally.

  15. I’ve asked before, I’ll ask again. Could Trump be any luckier in his enemies? They don’t just expose themselves; they pull back the curtain to expose themselves, as the sneaky, corrupt d-bags that they are.

    I’m guessing that someone has been promised a very high level prominent position, maybe at the national level. Chicago, not just the city on the lake, but the city on the make, and the city on the take.

  18. This is more about the Presidential asperations of Kamila Harris than it is about Smollett.

    Harris-Obama-Smollett connections are well known. Harris’s “hate crime” plot, that Smollett was to “act out”(as he’s supposed to be an actor) was completely bungled. This attack was planned to “aid support” in one of Harris’s pieces of legislation, and keep her in the upper third of the Democrat presidential candidate list.

    When it all crumbled, who has strong connections to Foxx and Chicago, to make this all go away? After all, this getting back to Harris, would destroy all/any of her potential political ambitions.

    Either Rahm is faking it, or he’s feeling cut out of the “family.”
