1. Did Pelosi and Schiff actually think that they had anything on Trump that would not have incriminated the Dems or the Obama-weaponized deep state? How benevolent of them to drop impeachment! Will the media lap it up or will they press for continued witch-hunts.

   1. Indeed! I didn’t see that coming. I posted a comment here just yesterday (I think) that I thought impeachment was a slam dunk, even if there was no hope of conviction, because the establishment just hates Trump that much.

Steny Hoyer also came out with a statement reminding people that they have more than 3 new members of congress, explicitly calling out the idiot from New York, and the racists from Minnesota and Michigan. They probably won’t take that too well and neither will their base, who also won’t take no impeachment well. Up to now I was one of those who thought we conservatives were giving too much air to Sandy Cortez and the rest. I’ve changed my mind. Pump them up, feed the fire, ignite the left civil war.

So for over two years we’ve been inundated with the need to get rid of Trump no matter what, impeachment was going to be a done deal, Schiff had incontrovertible evidence on a dozen occasions that would nullify the Trumpster. Now “He’s not worth it!” They have wasted two years of governing properly because of their hatred for Trump and now they are backing down. If I were a betting man I’d say that the Mueller report has been leaked to the Democrats and as Strzok said at the very start “There is no there, there!” This is not going to go down well with the base!
