    1. The meme became so popular that there are websites devoted to generating these videos. It only takes a few minutes to create one, just enter your text and the video is ready for upload to YouTube in seconds. I used such a website to make my own Downfall parody video a couple of years ago, and it only took me about half an hour:

  1. Kate, this morning I, as a retiree, belatedly found out today is a holiday — family day in my turnip-patch province. So I am still in my bathrobe and pajamas, at 10:30 am in the Maritimes.

Seven British Labor MPs quit their party, over the party’s overt anti-Semitism:

I know I posted this yesterday, but according to TMZ a Chicago grand jury will be convened to hear evidence against Jussie Smollett’s false police-report crime:
    https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/jussie-smollett-attack-paid-racist-homophobic-grand-jury-case-chicago-police-a8784086.html

The reason I raise this is because CBC News and the Globe and Mail are both censoring the recent revelations. They are, after all, the media outlets of record in Canada.

      1. Jussie must avoid further scrutiny like the plague. Was this all about ratings for a failing show (my current “suspicion”)?

“When the show returns on March 13th, “Empire” will be down over 10% in total viewers from its previous season and 16% in the key demo of 18-49.”

The last season, which started in September, returned with just 6 million viewers. The second week saw a decline of 1 million. On November 14th, the number dropped below 5 million to 4.8 million. The show finished on December 5th with just over 5 million total, and a weak 1.50 in the demo.”

Was Smollett worried about the ratings? His so-called mugging was the most publicity “Empire” has had in eons. Whether Smollett’s story turns out to be true or not, it will definitely have an impact on the March 13th return. It could be this was some kind of misguided effort to get attention.”

    1. There is a lot of info on line about Jussie paying two Nigerian brothers to rough him up while wearing red caps. They actually worked on bit parts on the show he was in. The police have released them.

        1. Reading about this over the weekend I had one Breitbart reader’s comment stick in my craw, paraphrasing, ….

‘The reality of this story is that in Trump’s America, Jussie Smallett had to outsource to Nigeria to find two homophobic racist attackers.’

  2. Everyone had slaves but muselman did it best.

Interesting article, though the matter itself was no stranger to me before.
The study seems to center to the Western and Southern Europe (not a rare occasion); however, the subject matter would have allowed professor Davis to elaborate eastwards.
My native country (Finland) appears to have been subject to rather systematic and heavy-handed slave raiding from 14th to 16th century, first practiced by merchant-lords of Novgorod and later by Grand Duchy of Moscow – halting for the 17th century (Swedish military supremacy preventing it at the time, I venture to guess) only to continue during the Great Northern War (1701-1721).
During this war some 30,000 Finns of 400,000 total population are estimated to have been captured and herded to the slave markets in Black Sea ad Caspian Sea, leading to the same Ottoman and Persian destinations that the white slaves Of the professor Davis’ opus studies. The blond hair and blue eyes, commonplace in Finland, seem to have excited the taste for exotic in the islamic princes of the time.
The matter is discussed in a book published in 2014 by professor Jukka Korpela (University of Helsinki), “Idän orjakauppa keskiajalla – ihmisryöstöt Suomesta ja Karjalasta” (“Eastern Slave Trade in the Middle Ages – Abductions from Finland and Karelia”), which, regrettably, has not been translated into English language as yet. Although the study focuses on Finland, it could be safe to assume that other Eastern European countries have similar histories.
Apologies for the lengthy comment. My wish was merely to point out the expanse and many forms of the muslim slave business in the premodern era – with Russian states as middlemen in the Eastern Europe.

    1. Maybe this helps to explain Yasser Arafat’s love for the Swedish body guard?
Arafat apparently had a troop of Swedish muscle men that he kept ‘close’.

    2. When 25,000 of my German ancestors ventured into the lower Volga country in the 1760s, maybe 1,000 or so were killed or enslaved by Asian Turkish/Mongol tribes.

    3. John Batchelor interviewed the author of Preble’s Boys, which is about an American naval engagement with the Barbary pirates more than 200 years ago. It’s been repeated a number of times, but it’s an interesting story and worth listening to.

      Here’s more on Preble:

By the way, the campaign mentioned in the original URL is recalled in the opening of the Marine Corps hymn:

      “From the halls of Montezuma
      To the shores of Tripoli”

  3. Meanwhile, in Battling Britain: UK group of remainers, oxymoronically calling themselves the “Independent Group”, independence being the last thing they want, breaks away from another remainer group. They’ll split the vote! 🙂

Does anyone know what’s going on? Flustercuck is the word that comes to mind. The establishment just cannot bring itself to accept the will of the people.

    1. When they can’t accept the will of the people, they are not accepting democracy. If Churchill were around to witness this he’d be doubling his daily tipples.

    2. The establishment just cannot bring itself to accept the will of the people.

That’s because the establishment has no regard for the people. The establishment yearns for a return to the good old days of feudalism where its members are the lords of the manors and the rest of us are the serfs. To them, the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215 was a catastrophe.

  4. Hope our less than shiny PM has a good family day rest, he’s in for some tough questions tomorrow….assuming he shows up for work and remembers his lines….ah, um, er, ah, ah….

    1. I was on a flight to northern B. C. yesterday and I chatted briefly about Prinz Dummkopf with my seat mate. Later, on my way into town from the airport, I spoke with the cab driver.

Neither of those two gentlemen had anything nice to say about HRH.

      1. Yes, Canada is back to the Libranos. We need this to be top of the agenda in the HOC , racketeering/corruption in government or anywhere else requires police action, they need to investigate this, it’s beyond the realm of ethics.

        1. Liz J, yes,Canada is back in the hands of the Red side of the Uniparty that runs Canada, but IF the Blue side wins next time around, rest assured SNC and all the other Quebec corporations that buy their politicians will be dealt with in a very friendly way. Quebec= SNC= 78 seats.

SNC IS too big to fail, and both major Parties know that, so Quebec will be looked after.
If Gerald Butts wasn’t so dishonest in the deepest regions of his sociopathic soul, this could have been handled above board and without the situation with JWR, simply by announcing the DPA with Lavalin, with emphasis on the potential job and pension fund losses.

The ROC might have been pissed off temporarily, but there would have been no scandal, no angry Indian warrior Princess,(Canada’s new Joan of Arc), and Justin would still be leading in the polls by five or six points.

Fortunately for Canada, Butts hasn’t a honest bone in his skeleton, and HIS way of doing this was to once again attempt to bamboozle Canadian voters, which I’m sure he finds extremely exciting.

      2. He said Canada’s back. But he didn’t finish the sentence. What he meant was: Canada’s back in the hands of the corrupt Natural Governing Party based in Quebec, and we will now exercise our Liberal privilege.

        1. Well, no. You see, Liberals really do think the Liberal Party IS Canada. So, for Trudeau to state “Canada is back” was merely stating the obvious. For the rest of us, it means, “hide your valuables and daughters”.

  5. Word jazz poet and underground hipster for the ages Ken Nordine has passed.

He had a voice that god envied. It was described as an instrument that, ‘ muses and oozes like molten gold.”

I know nobody knows who he is but you’ve heard his voice.

    Preach baby preach.

        1. NR:

Did you listen to My Baby?

I love how Nordine captures the 50’s hipster feel. Your On the Road with Sal and Dean man. In a jazz club and all that madness. Cool ha

          1. https://youtu.be/AXez8HFIxP0

This one is the shortest and quite a catch! Most folks may not know what these are! I used to make these often, – they are tasty little morsels!

            • The ‘My Baby’ one was quite erotic, at first, then not at the end – he fools ya!

            • ab: I bookmarked Nordine here, so will go through them occasionally for relaxation. I can’t thank you enough, I’ve never heard of him. A little gold mine on these cold days – I’ve been shoveling snow lately too!

          2. ab…
I also liked the one entitled “Bubblegum”…..
            It went:
            ☆ °*@¤
            ~ • %
            ☆° *
            ° <☆ &* "KA -BOOM- MMM!"

      1. NR

Nordine had the voice but he also had an inventive mind to go with it.

A cool hipster and a mensa wordsmith. The catholic church coulda used him to explain rhythm!

Out here in the buck brush it’s been negative 30 everynight since……arrrrugh.

Try shoveling that snow to a KN rhyme…..it works. ha

    1. Good Lord. So now baseball is succumbing to the feel good stupidity. Say it ain’t so. If Mr. Ricketts is so eager to have the ball club appear to be tolerant, inclusive and all those other touchy feely adjectives, perhaps he should exert pressure to have the Cubs sign a few muslims to lucrative contracts and make them part of the starting nine on opening day. So what if they can’t play baseball? Isn’t scoring a few pc points more important than winning and providing entertainment for the fans?

  6. Settled Science – wrong again!

“According to the UN, there will be 9.8 billion people on earth by 2050 — a number that could balloon to 11.2 billion by the end of the century…Scientists and environmentalists have long warned of the dangers that could follow: environmental chaos, poverty and geopolitical conflict.

But a Canadian political scientist says the UN has it all wrong.”

“What’s interesting in this is that there’s an appearance of settled science on what the demographic numbers are.”

“…by…the end of the century, the United States and China are going to have almost approximate populations.”

  7. Veni, vidi, perri. I came, I saw, I failed. DeMarxism in retreat.
McCabe, to save himself, has proven all the major players were in on a conspiracy to defeat but then remove Trump.
Their belief in a Russia co-opted Trump, which by coincidence coincided with their political fortunes, was “justification.”
But they were not so sure Hillary would win, so they fashioned their escapes and insurance policies.
Obama’s part? Strzock said he was kept current on the plot and he signed an EO to facilitate leaks and dossier dissemination.
Most importantly, they thought they had given themselves enough political cover to explain it all away.
Hillary had thought so during he email breach and coverup, they had all grown fat with arrogance.
The jury is out on that one. VDH catalogs their whole putrid effort with players singing from the same songbook.

“In sum, the Left and the administrative state, in concert with the media, after failing to stop the Trump campaign, regrouped. They ginned up a media-induced public hysteria, with the residue of the Hillary Clinton campaign’s illegal opposition research, and manipulated it to put in place a special counsel, stocked with partisans.”

Then, not thugs in sunglasses and epaulettes, not oligarchs in private jets, not shaggy would-be Marxists, but sanctimonious arrogant bureaucrats in suits and ties used their government agencies to seek to overturn the 2016 election, abort a presidency, and subvert the U.S. Constitution. And they did all that and more on the premise that they were our moral superiors and had uniquely divine rights to destroy a presidency that they loathed.”

    https://amgreatness.com/2019/02/17/autopsy-of-a-dead-coup/

This was their “national emergency,” not the border crisis well underway, this their careers and political sensibilities.
Somebody somewhere, needs to charge them all then sort out the mess with a special prosecutor, with Mueller subordinate.

    1. The puppeteer is gone but Trudeau must face Canadians and allow JWR to testify.
Just because Butts resigned doesn’t stop him from facing Obstruction of Justice charges.
Hopefully the “woke” media have the sense to not let this die until there is a full investigation. Surely LavlinGate carries the same level of corruption as say a $16 glass of orange juice….

    2. Thanks, gellen. I wonder if now Justin will make a speech about the loss of a”Great Canadian” as he did when Mo Strong drowned while swimming in the Yangtze at age 115 or so?

Of course, fortunately, Gerald is NOT deceased, but merely restin’. Now what to do with the sonofabitch? He’s welcome to come out to our rifle range and be a target holder.

Back to the Sierra Club org?

  8. First Brison and now Butts. Rats fleeing a sinking ship. Groper gave a Toronto Star executive a cushy diplomatic job in Chicago as a reward, so expect Butts to get a cushy government job overseas somewhere in order to coverup the latest scandals.

  9. On Butts’s resignation, one can be sure Mr. Trudeau will choose somebody that is in line with his identitarian politics. That could deflect a lot of criticism from the big media.

    1. I’ve now adopted a very liberal position and have joined the cheering section wishing XY chromosome women to win every gold medal in the Olympics. XX women are useless at sports anyways. I am now a male feminist just like Justin. Besides, it’s funnier than hell that liberalism will eliminate women’s sports.

  10. National Post website reports that a judge in P.E.I has overturned a prison sentence for an indian drug dealer, because he was taken away from his Cree parents as a child. Obviously white colonial attitudes caused him to be a drug dealer.

    1. “because he was taken away from his Cree parents as a child.”

And likely by a Cree social worker and placed with a Cree family. Why wasn’t he just sent to a Cree prison? Racist white judges must believe that Indians are unworthy of protection from criminals.
