Art Of The Deal

First, remember Turkish President Recep Erdogan was the antagonist in the Kashoggi matter and Erdogan orchestrated the blame toward Saudi Crown Prince MbS. There is no better motivated mid-east ally to protect the Kurds against any military action by Turkey other than MbS. No doubt MbS and UAE will send their best forces.

Secondly, what military equipment will MbS and the UAE be shipping along with their military troops? Those would be military purchases directly from the U.S.

Third, who stood up against international pressure and refused to condemn MbS over the Kashoggi matter? That would be a strategic U.S. President Trump. MbS owes a favor; see how that works?

  1. A brilliant move from a very stable genius.

The Democrats now control the House of Representatives and have promised to use that power to ramp up the political chaos, yet again. To make the U.S. ungovernable. Their goal, the 2020 presidential election.

So, Pres. Trump does a political calculation under increased pressure to outmaneuver the Democrats and the MSM. Higher stakes means taking more calculated risks to win. He is calling in a quid pro quo from the Saudis, whose House of Saud, requires fighting off the Shia Caliphate Curve coming to wipe them and their fellow nation-state regimes out.

Middle-East stability is why the U.S. supports the working alliance between The Gulf Arabs states(not Qatar), Jordan, Egypt and Israel. Iranian jihad is the instability problem, ever since Pres. Obama unfroze $150 billion of their assets, which they’ve been spending preparing to attack the M.E. nation-states allied against it.

This is why S.A. and most Gulf Arab states support the anti-M.B. counter-jihad government of Egypt. It is why that group and Israel have designated the M.B. as a terrorist group. The M.B. supported by Qatar the only Gulf Arab state to publicly do so. The main force for global jihad, presently, is the Islamic Republic of Iran, it proxy armies:HAMAS(M.B.), Hezbollah and the M.B. regime in Ankara dedicated to restoring the Ottoman Caliphate(the purpose of M.B. founder 1928). That Shia and Sunni pro-Caliphate forces ally themselves is just simply part of the Orthodox doctrine.

Turkey has the 2nd most powerful armed forces in NATO, but will face state of the art U.S. weapon systems used by the Saudi/U.A.E. armed forces, who may be training and upgrading the Kurdish Armed Forces. Turkey’s Erdogan has been warned the U.S. will crush his regime both economically and militarily if it gets out of line.

So, is Russia in on this deal? Yes, definitely. During the G-20 news coverage was a few second clip that mystified me. Prince MBS was noticeably confident, ebulliently so. So much so, he could not contain himself when he greeted Pres. Putin, who only gave the slightest, but definite facial acknowledgement to the Prince’s glee.

Now it all fits together. This is part of Pres. Trump getting all his political ducks in a row, a M.E. stability plan without direct U.S. military involvement. This plays well domestically. Next watch the Wall begin to take shape, a pre-requisite for him to Win Bigly in 2020.

The Trump campaign to out maneuver the Dem./MSM, while retaining popularity through to the 2020 election continues, apace. The Alpha Male leader of the Free World will be his 21st Cent. epitaph.

    1. If it isn’t, it won’t be do to any failure by him.

A brilliant move from a very stable genius.

      1. The MBS Faction of the Saudi Royal Family are not Wahabbi.
MBS is pushing reforms on KSA, like allowing women to drive, which are an anathema to Wahabbists and Islamists.

Wahabbists gained a lot of power in KSA when Jimmy F’ing Carter prevented the Shah from cracking down on the Khomeinists in Iran; and then after Khomeini took power and threatened KSA, the feckless fool did incredibly stupid shit like flying a squadron of (UNARMED) F-15’s to “reinforce” KSA. The then King of SA turned to the only other force he thought he could trust after being betrayed by the US President, the Sunni Whabbists of Saudi Arabia to rally the subjects of his Kingdom as they were being threatened by Shia Iran.

(Like 95% of our US Foreign Policy f’ups, there is a Democrat at the bottom of the f’ed up problem.)

Trump is giving the Arab World a chance to modernize and now take responsibility; NOT because we tell them to, but because they WANT TO.

Face or pride is very important to the Muslim and Arab World. Trump is giving them a chance to lead and demonstrate they are part of the Western World.

And with their oil running out in a few decades, they really have no choice.

        1. Do I think it will work?

I hope and pray it does. Otherwise we have fewer and more bleak options, like Richard Fernandez’ “Three Conjectures.”

Either the moderates gain control of Islam, or the World decides it must live without Radical Islam, or we all submit.

Perhaps you are right about MBS not being a wahabi. But muslims believe it is ok to lie to the infidels about Islam.

      2. No follower of any sect of islam is your friend. they are prohibited by islam from being your friend.

      3. As if any sect, or identity group within Islam is … our friend. Nope. None of em. Their existence threatens ours. Best to keep them all at arms length (more like an oceans length.

  2. Don’t be surprised if the usual suspects continue to clamor for punishment of the Saudis anyway. They might even insist on putting that into whatever continuing resolutions they bring forward. God damn them all to hell for what they have done to this world.

And never forget that Iran was a staunch ally of the US until Jimmeh “Killer Rabbit” Cahtuh forced the Shah from power and turned the country over to the Ayatollah. God damn him to hell as well.

  3. Good that they have arrived, and will operate with US led forces. He who gets there “ the fustest with the mostest “ has the upper hand. Past Trump actions in Syria have been resolute. The Mattis departure is a conundrum.

  4. “The Art of the Deal”: Queens real estate / middle east politics — the fundamentals don’t change.

  5. With the exception of Israel, the middle east is a shithole and was made such by Islamic fundamentalism. To see peace there you would need to eliminate the Death Cult of Mohammed and every single one of its psychopathic adherents.

  6. Fuck yeah. If anyone in that area deserves support, it’s the Kurds. Nice to see they aren’t being abandoned again (notice how that wasn’t brought up during the media stroking over GHWB ??)

The Turks are nasty pricks and have been for a very long time. They try throwing their greasy “middle power” weight around whenever they can so anything that stymies them is okay by me. Plus it could result in a few dead Saudis ? Yeah, that’s okay in my books too.

    1. Yep, there are about 1,500,000 Armenians who could vouch for your opinion of the Turks…….if the Turks hadn’t slaughtered them in the early 20th century.

  7. Wonder how the media will react if the Saudis deploy some of that Canadian made hardware to protect the Kurds?

The first talking head that opines on that deserves the response

“Well they had to chose between the lav’s or the parkas, which one do you think is more effective?”

    1. “Wonder how the media will react if the Saudis deploy some of that Canadian made hardware to protect the Kurds?”

And what would the issue be? Canada sold the hardware to KSA on condition that KSA would not use it against their own civilian population.
What does that have to do with deploying it with Saudi forces in northern Iraq/Syria?

  8. Turkey is our third oldest ally after Britain and its colonies and De Gaulle and the French army in exile. Also, Turkey is the strategic lynch pin of the Aegean, eastern Mediterranean, Middle East and Persian Gulf. Without Turkey our position in the Middle East is untenable.

Mohammed bin Salman is implicated in the Khashoggi murder in Turkey, and we are still protecting Fethullah Gulen, one of the architects of the coup against Erdogan.

How does Saudi troops in Syria protecting Turkey’s main enemy, the Kurds, stabilize the situation in Syria? This looks like a time bomb, with the potential for two American allies going to war against each other. Or at least giving Turkey another push into the arms of Russia.

  9. ‘art of the deal’

fcukin’ right Donald. fcukin’ right. the rule of thumb stuff is applicable in business AND politics.
that’s why many voted for you, they knew the relationship existed between independent business success AND sticking up for the nation that allowed you to pursue and achieve said success.

all the rest is fake news.
