  1. When you’re on the Left and lose Maureen Dowd, you can almost hear the band playing you off the stage. But the Clintons have no shame so they will clearly be back.

    1. Well the Democrats can always embalm her like Lenin and wheel her around, or maybe Bill could do this himself, set up some pulleys and guide wires and Bill and Chelsea could still squeeze a few bucks out of her mouldering carcass. Have her wave and nod, a recording for the Clinton Foundation. What is that odor.

  2. I, for one, welcome watching Felonia von Pantsuit fade into the obscurity and irrelevance she so richly deserves.

  3. Not showing up for this farce demonstrates the good common sense of most Canadians. Perhaps all is not lost.

    1. “…demonstrates the good common sense of most Canadians….”

Oh c’mon for crissakes. 62.7 percent of the electorate voted Green, Liberal, or NDP in the last election.

If Obammy had been in Trawana, they would have packed the place. Common sense my arse.

  4. What’s sad is that she will never get how suckered she’s been and the depth of contempt the Clinton Crime Family feels for people like her. And you to have to laugh at her naivety in being concerned that the Obamas are going to repeat the Clinton greed machine.

And Obama’s legacy being flushed away by the orange man, LOL.

  5. Their supporters seem to miss the point. We always knew they were corrupt grifters. Now they can’t do it, but they’re still prepared to humiliate themselves to suck up whatever money might remain.
And they are not “aging rock stars” – old rock stars still sell tickets and if they don’t the whole tour collapses like Spinal Tap.

    1. I have just come up with a theory about their Sunset Boulevard. They need to remain in the public eye to thwart attempts by many wealthy and powerful international sponsors, er donors, to the Clinton Foundation, to get their money back.

  6. I feel almost sorry for Maureen Dowd in her disillusionment, as for the few drifters that showed up in their agony to see the modern version of the Borgia clan.

My tears for her and the corrupt couple are tears of laughter.

  7. As perceptive as Dowd may come across regarding the Clinton’s pathetic decline, I wonder if she has never caught on to the fact that, as a loyal and equally pathetic cheerleader of the left, she is in the same boat.

I just hope that they can live on for the next decade of near empty venues, sucking money out of, but netting almost nothing from old progs. Losing the next Democratic primary would also be fitting. Such a fate would be even better than an orange jump suit as rather than the sympathy she might evoke from behind bars, she would have to face the empty seats of her lasting and growing irrelevance.

  8. Maureen Dowd: It’s a pity. My question to Maureen is: Why? Why is it a pity. This couple have asked for this kind of humiliation.
We know Hillary wants another run, but possibly they’re hoping if they keep the name in the public eye, their daughter could be the first female president. She’s dying to be president as much as her mother.

  9. “They don’t really face the complicity of what’s happened to the world, how selfish we’ve become and the horrible damage of screwing the workers and causing this resentment that the Republicans found a way of tapping into.”

In other words, Maureen thinks the problem is that Bill and Hillary weren’t left-wing enough—not that anybody to the right of Pol Pot was ever going to satisfy Maureen.

But then, when was the last time a leftist learned the proper lesson from her mistakes?

  10. Back in the 1970s, despite the fact that I despised him, I went to see Trudeau during a campaign. He was PM after all. I also made a point of seeing Joe Clark. Then I got over it. I only wish I had made a point of seeing Dief the Chief.

  11. A theme song for the Clintons:

We had joy, we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the wine and the song
Like the seasons have all gone

  12. Maureen Dowd: The NYT’s answer to Heather Mallick or Rosemary Barton.

  13. If the dems elect Nancy Pelosi (the Alzheimer lady), then Hilary will run again.

She will talk about how much she has learned, and that as a woman, she believes in a kindler gentler world.

  14. I want to Clintons to suffer … a lot.

Perhaps becoming irrelevant will make them crazy, but I still want them to feel pain … real pain.

    1. There’s always hell.

The delights enjoyed in heaven by the souls of the Clinton Body Count will include seeing Bill and Hillary getting what they dished out to children on Epstein’s island for all eternity.

  15. “…and I cringe at the thought that the Clintons will look out and see that, too. ” Naive, loyal little Maureen, can’t bear the thought of her heroes seeing all the empty seats, as it they are almost deities that deserve better.

I suppose in her delusional mind, they are just that.

If there IS an Allah, please make Hillary run for the Democrats again in 2020, with Bernie Sanders as V-P candidate. Please.

    1. Sorry, there is no Allah*, Don; but take it from this old ex-atheist the God of the Bible, the Creator of the universe, exists.

*God as proclaimed by Mohammad, supposedly his only prophet.

      1. gregW, there are as many “gods” as there are believers, and allah is one iteration of the Abrahamic god. The thing people like you fail to understand is that each person mentally creates their own image of said god, which would not be the real god if there were such a thing. There is psychology, and then there is reality, 2 different things all to gether

        1. NME, that’s your opinion and you’re welcome to it, but just because you don’t think God exists that doesn’t make it so. I can understand your skepticism to some extent because I also was an atheist at one time. However, I was wrong then and so are you now. There are gods invented by man and then there is the God who invented man. You simply have them confused with each other as I once did.
          Have a good night.

          1. (psssst, GW, mr rev 13:18 is in the camp that claims the DNA molecule up to the precision of a schwack of universal constants, all. happened. by. random. chance.)

I got in a polite debate with an evolutionist, demanding to know where the ‘code’ is written in a proton (emphasis on ONE proton since they are all the same, thus sayeth the evolutionists) to know exactly all the following:
            – which elements
            -in which amounts
            -in which location and
            -which sequence

to coalesce into the correct molecules to suddenly *all on its own* (back to the ONE proton the-same-as-all-others thing again) become the very very first ‘living’ organism with , wait for it . . . . .
*the capacity to become ALL living things that have ever lived or ever will live*

comes the response, ‘yawell yawell yawelll, ’tis RESPONDING to da enviiiiironment’
oh, the ENVIRONMENT that consists of, wait for it there sicks-sicks-sicks !!! . . . . of
OTHER PROTONS. so let me rephrase says I, what ‘property, attribute, capability, wtfcuk EVER, is it, embedded in a SINGLE proton whereby it has the ability to COMMUNICATE with other protons to achieve the above sequence of events? where? where is it? hmmm?

THAT is the famous ‘missing link’. HOW does ONE proton ‘know what to do’
            to pull off ALL life?

  16. I’d have paid $6 to show up decked out in MAGA clothes. That’d be an evening of some cheap entertainment.

  17. Great to see a lefty suckered out of $177

I hope Killary and Mu-shill Obummer bleed them dry.

  18. The list of career politicians, and bureaucrats, and rent seekers, and carpet baggers, and subsidy farmers, who lack self awareness and still haven’t learned anything can fill a book that would dwarf the Eiffel Tower. A book that would out weigh the concrete poured for the Hoover dam. A book that would deforest the earth in its printing. It is not just the Clintons. Or Democrats. Or Americans. Or Western Hemisphere. Or Northern Hemisphere…

  19. Per the classic phrase … The Clintons have become that which they hate.

Greedy, Money-grubbing, corrupt, capitalists exploiting their government ‘service’ to accumulate obscene wealth … for … NOTHING. Nothing except selling out the people of America.

  20. Dowd has written some of the most wretched political “analysis” in journalism, but she brings up a good point. Why are the Clintons doing this? Is it for the money? Do they miss the adulation? Is Hillary getting ready to make another run at ‘er?

Senior Democrats seem reluctant to step out of the limelight at a time when the entire party needs a serious makeover.

    1. Killer, what else can they do, what else do they know how to do. They are stuck in a matrix of their own construction. Thety would only change if they were jailed. It’s great to see them slide down the slope to irrelevance.

    2. She’s going to run. She doesn’t deny it. She dodges the question whenever she’s asked.

Trump has lived rent-free in her head ever since November 2016 and she absolutely cannot get past it. In her mind, she absolutely must run, she must avenge her defeat, she must put right what the world did wrong to her. The presidency is her divine right and she must have it. Her preccciousssssss.

She’ll lose, even worse than in 08 or 16, but she’ll run.

  21. 177 bucks for the ticket?
I would have paid that to watch hillarat don some skates, try a spin, land on her fat arse and break her hip.

think of the hell we would be in now, visible or not, if she took ’16.
