  1. The Golden State already leads the Lower Forty Eight in poverty. I am sure that even higher food prices will sure help a lot.

    1. But, but, but … Neu-CA Gov. Newsome said CA is the 5th largest economy in the world!!??
Sounds like Google, Fackebook, Apple, Salesforce, Uber, Hollywood, et.al. have a shitload of wealth to redistribute to the impoverished, homeless, population. They need to start giving their fortunes to poor people.

  2. They are merely following the practice of Maui. Chickens roam free there too, but the main difference is the dearth of coyotes and foxes. (They ain’t got none). It seemed that the chickens even had the traffic lights figured out thus proving that they can look after themselves, and are street wise (sorta). If they are allowed to roam free they could be instrumental in alleviation of hunger in those less fortunate. Can’t you just see it now? “Hey Johnnie go find some eggs for supper, and if you can catch that leghorn that’s nesting behind the service station garbage bin, we could have meat too.”

Yup, free chickens. An idea whose time has come.

    1. Better the chickens be free rather than having to buy them for a poultry sum.

  3. The California egg industry will not stand the competition from out of state and simply fold. The voters don’t care.

    1. Exactly. More jobs and industry gone and higher prices for imported trucked in eggs. I’m sure Maxine will console them.

  4. The Great Carnac sees: Even more giant warehouses in Reno for the trans-shipment of eggs from the sane states! At least until the commie lawmakers in Kali come up with another way to strangle capitalism.

  5. can it be said the notion is a direct although ‘unintentional’ result of the horrendous condition factory farm chickens suffered? hmmm? mebbe, just MEBBE if the bottom line did not drive this abject fcuking abuse to the max then the notion would have withered on the vine as unnecessary.

naturally it is californicate that steps up to the (dinner?) plate first !!!
