Update: Harmless. All of the devices carried a parody ISIS flag featuring comedian Larry the Cable Guy’s signature slogan, “git ‘er done,” NBC News reported late Wednesday.

Er.. yeah.

I’m not sure this event rises to the level of hoax, much less false flag. I’m leaning towards “prank”, myself.

  1. Wile E. Coyote at least has a couple of things going for him; chiefly ENTERTAINMENT VALUE!

    This genius doesn’t even get a dim bulb in their thought balloon; only a lowly flickering candle.

    As 16/17 year old youths we could put together a better device than these cretins in search of their neurons; and we weren’t even trying to hurt anyone!

  7. Here’s my guess: He will initially be identified as a radically right wing Trump supporter, NRA member, with strong anti-immigration views. Then, his Facebook and Twitter feeds will out him as an Obama/Hillary/Bernie fanboy. Then, he will morph into a troubled loner suffering from an undiagnosed and untreated mental illness.

  8. Shipping in envelopes? Hand delivering them? Wiring the thing like it’s a flourescent bulb? Using addresses that no one but DNC people would most likely have? None of them worked?

    If this does not profile as a democrat operation, I don’t what does. The only thing missing is a billion dollars in non-shovel ready jobs disappearing into the mist, and it would be like Hillary signature on the project.

  11. If I don’t get a forensic, deconstructed, view of the “bombs” … NONE of which actually exploded … showing their every component … I will know this was just a ruse and a distraction. And spare me … anyone can already learn how to make a pipe bomb with a few clicks … so the FBI won’t be “revealing” anything by illustrating the “bomb”.

    Good point, Kenji. Paranoid billionaires like Soros probably have every inch of their property and surrounding area constantly surveilled by CCTV, with good reason, there are a couple of million Hungarians who’d like to see the bastard dead.

  13. For me the giveaway is the targets. Nobody on the right considers Clinton, Obama or CNN as threats. They’re clowns and has-beens. They’re the heroes and idols of the left, though, and the left isn’t capable of grasping that the right doesn’t see these people as Terribly Important.

  15. I think it’s the same people who send themselves death threats then call the local CNN affiliate.

    Also, it may not be beyond them, that a Bernie supporter caught onto Trump early on (years ago), and started setting up social media and such to support that narrative in a false flag now. But who has that kind of attention span? That would be an actual intelligence agency level of forethought and planning. And their bombs would have looked real.

  16. Lot’s of possibilities, maybe even an attempt at intervention in the election by a foreign government.
    Be patient, it didn’t take long to ID Timothy McVeigh when federal law enforcement pulled out all the stops, and that was 23 years ago. Unless it was planned for a long time and the perpetrators were exceptionally rigorous and meticulous, I am hopeful it will be resolved quickly.

    The bombs had printed labels on them.

    Should give investigators a good head start.

    I’d start by looking at the printers in The DNC offices.

    1. Yep. I’m in the printing business and as long as it was printed on a colour printer it would definitely have a reference to the machine serial number encoded in the background white space using yellow dots. Yellow is the least visible color in the YMCK spectrum.

      You can see the dots with an eye loop or digital microscope. It was designed to trace the origins of counterfeit money, etc. to a specific device.

      If you own a modern colour printer of any kind you can see them with the proper tools.

  20. Whether this is a hoax, is a 50-50 guess.
    The trick is trying to figure out who would pull a hoax like this, with the proviso that if this is a hoax.
    Observations
    If the “device” was so poorly made the odds of it actually detonating are extremely long, then the perp had no idea what they where doing or they had no intention of actually having the thing explode.
    The targets are not generic. This means the target was not the public and meant to threaten specific people. However if the first observation holds true (not designed to detonate) then the intent was to create sympathy for the intended targets.
    Caveat
    This is speculation and if there is a conspiracy it requires that those involved did not leave any evidence behind. It also requires the conspirators to have clean alibis and no loose ends.
    Again this is speculation and in about 24 hours the investigation will have to bear fruit or this thing starts falling off the radar.
    Why would it fall off the radar?
    No blood.
    If it bleeds it leads.

    1. Brennan’s new hobby … he is the MOST unhinged of the Deep state co-conspirators. And sent a “bomb” to himself … to throw the FBI off his trail. He had insiders at the Post Office to slip pipe bombs (wrapped in flimsy envelopes) past all scanners and human sorters … and avoid all surveillance cameras.

      And IF I were sending pipe bombs through the mail … the LAST thing I would do is put them in a Manila envelope which so easily allows the contents to be palpitated by simple handling. Wouldn’t I want the pipe bomb to go undetected? I would choose a small box with ample cushioning and stabilizing material. And what of the triggering system? Couldn’t it become so easily damaged by handling the envelope? Envelopes are going to be tossed about in the mail bins! The envelopes are a dead give-away that this was a false flag scam.

      Turns out, #Anons were able to locate the actual make and model of the clock taped to one of the bombs.

      Aaaaaaand…

      It doesn’t even have an alarm function.

      In other words, it can’t count down to anything. It’s literally just to make a “scary-looking” bomb prop.

      THE CLOCKS DO NOT HAVE AN ALARM FUNCTION…complete hoax.

      The DNC continues on as HOAX central.

    1. Why was the envelope sent to John Brennan sent to him @ CNN? He is a contributor @ NBC.
    2. Why has CNN said the envelope was sent to “CNN” without providing the further details that 1) it was actually sent to John Brennan and 2) he is a contributor @ NBC? (How convenient that they can claim that they received and were, therefore, a target)
    3. A small thing, why does the return address for Debbie Wasserman Shultz spell Florida: “Florids”?
    4. How is it possible that the “same person” could coordinate to have all of the envelopes to be delivered ON THE SAME DAY to such disparate locations; Hillary, Bill, Obama, Holder, etc., but especially Maxine Waters (via US Postal Service!!)?
    5. Why is the digital clock that was used one that does not have an alarm function? (Which is apparently required for the device to function as a bomb, see Gateway Pundit, sorry not sure how to link).
    6. Why would authorities doing investigation permit photos be taken of the devices by journalists (appears to be the case with “bomb” sent to CNN) for public distribution? Thought this would be something that would be kept very close to the vest during the investigation?
    7. Moreover, why would they let anyone near an explosive device that was considered credible?

    Much about this not passing the “smell test” for me, at least until further details made available.

  29. Sure seems like a prank, but no surprise the media reporting it as a crisis and of course all Trump’s fault.

    In some ways it is similar to the Kavanaugh accusations. All fake, but the Democrats tried to make hay out of the accusations and it backfired.

    Fake news. Fake accusations of sexual abuse. And now faux outrage over fake bombs. The crazy left in action.

    I do hope conservative Americans vote next month….the left has become unhinged and they don’t deserve to be anywhere near power.
