My own experience confirms that a Bellstar full-face helmet provides better facial protection, but does muffle external sound clues that may influence your response to nearby vehicles. I suspect the turbans will muffle at least as much.

To answer Exasperated, the BLM group was going to call the police on an elderly woman in a motorized wheelchair because when she pushed aside a sign with her cane, “that’s assault!” She was going outside of her building to the site of a shooting to ask them to stop using the bullhorn (which they had been doing for several hours at that point).

  15. I was struck by the contrast between Rand Paul’s wife vs. Hillary Clinton and Maxine Waters. Paul’s wife is not only concerned about the violence from the left but also the incitement and celebration of that violence by the left. Then cut to Clinton and Waters inciting the type of confrontational behavior which they very well know can quicky escalate to violence. Who doesn’t know that people in mobs will do things, violent things, that they wouldn’t do as individuals?

    Rand’s wife is right to be afraid off that scenario. That dynamic – inciting and celebrating confrontational mobs – is creating an escalating cycle of violence. Rand Paul has already been beaten and shot at. Others are being chased out of restaurants, with their families, and then followed by the mob. Encouraging stalking and swarming is a sick, dangerous game being played by the left. Progressives have dehumanized white, male Republicans to the point where confrontation and violence against them in public and private spaces is celebrated. Perhaps more stories from family, like the one from Paul’s wife, would wake the left up and then they’d stop encouraging mob behaviour.

    Can you imagine the outrage if the Tea Party was doing this? I remember the media and the left accusing and condemning them as being responsible for everything, no matter how tenuous or indirect. Somehow those same journalists can not make any connection between democrat politicians praising antifa, inciting mob confrontation and the resulting acts of violence.

    1. They can and do make the connection. They just use some self-serving logic that isn’t far from delusional by blaming the violence on republicans or people to the right of center. Remember how Jeffrey Goldberg, Editor-in-Chief of The Atlantic likened Antifa to the men who stormed Normandy Beach?           Allow me to clarify. I assumed that your comments about “leavers of power” referred to Sundance’s evaluation of the decision not to just go ahead with the declassification full throttle. But, you would be better served by reading his piece relative to why James Wolfe was only charged/indicted with lying to the FBI and not the obvious speculation (which I believe to be true) that he leaked the fully un-redacted FISA application to various members of the media (4 that we know of). Well, there’s your proof. The DOJ US Attorneys indict as they see fit. No one else can make that decision. He wasn’t indicted for the more egregious, more serious crimes because they didn’t want to do so. Doing so would put members of the Senate Intelligence Committee in a bad light. They’re protected. Bad actors still hold the keys of the DOJ. They are gatekeepers, and they have nothing to worry about…because…who prosecutes them? Oh, right…they prosecute themselves…which means…no one.
