I, Napoleon

Does it get any better than this?

A woman has filed a human rights complaint against a Toronto shelter for female recovering addicts, claiming staff forced her to share a small double room with a pre-operative male-to-female transgender person.

The formal complaint against the Jean Tweed Centre, which runs Palmerston House, followed Kristi Hanna’s efforts to inquire about her own legal rights in this unusual situation, only to be told by Ontario’s Human Rights Legal Support Centre that, by describing her new roommate as a “man,” Hanna was the one engaged in illegal discrimination.

What a time to be alive.

  1. Another make-work project for an already overburdened legal system….

  2. George Orwell himself would have likely rejected a scenario like that as being too unbelievable.

  3. I thought Class Action Lawsuits were allowed in Canada…Where are the honest Lawyers….You can sue Government agencies & individual’s….just because they have a code does not mean it is protected…

The San Jose lawsuit against individual police officers was long overdue.. At least some lawyers are practicing law

  4. So the problem in my mind is this: does the gov’t risk a significant female backlash against them if the HRC does what it really wants to do which is to side with the pretender? This looks like the trannies painted themselves into a corner ‘cause no sane political is going to risk pissing off 50% of the population for the sake of superficial virtue signalling. Even SJW females won’t want to share a tiny shelter room with a kooky dude in a place already filled with distressed individuals fighting personal demons.

  5. I’m afraid the woman will lose this one. The Ontario “Human Rights” Commission will slavishly follow the fad-of-the-year and side with the pre-operative trangender-male. The article made mention of OHRC staffers attempting to steer the complainant into dropping the complaint. The OHRC doesn’t care a fig about women’s concerns these days.

    1. It is sad commentary that the term Human Rights now means privileges for perverts. Can anybody recall that last time human rights was used to describe a normal person engaging in legal activity?

    2. Feminism was never about women, it was always about marxism. Women were just the useful idiots.

    1. Sad to say, the Turdeau Liberals and the Singh NDP count themselves as “intellectuals” and are thus more equal. Remember the Liberal party mantra ” we are entitled…” and the NDP mantra ” take from others”. These are the type of people who end up with big dachas, and eventually will have special lanes on roads for their big gas guzzling vehicles while the rest of us are stuck riding public transit or trying to make Lada type cars work.
Wait this sounds like the socialist utopia of the USSR. History repeats.

      1. Don’t forget the Scheer CPC’s new mantra…. ‘Knuckle Under’.

I think a few of the harder core CINO’s in the party were holding out for ‘Abet and Obey’.

  6. Sorry, dear, but a white, female, LGBTQ activist is outranked an a non-transitioning, male, LGBTQ practitioner on the scales of victimhood (and political opportunism). Remember: all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

  7. This case has me recalling the Toronto muslim barber shop vs the gay gal who went in for a clip and was told more or less to take a hike.
If I remember correctly the HRC got involved and well…it seems to have dropped off the radar.

    1. That case was settled prior to the HRC making a judgement.

unfortunately, as I think it’d be helpful to be able to see a chart of where the variety of Canadians fit in on the hierarchy. Eventually, those imbeciles will be so conflicted it’ll actually require a class in each year of school to see where exactly you’re fitting in.

  8. Let this be a lesson to all. Never file a complaint at the HRC without your burqa.

  9. We need more of this bigly. Sorry ladies but you’ll have to suffer through this until the rubicon is crossed and enough of you get fed up. It’s only a matter of time until some guy starts hitting up pool change rooms and the like and wins a human rights tribunal. Just wait.

  10. Schadenfreude rages through my brain. Live up to your own rules, you left wing activists, and the more often this occurs, the louder I will lol!

  11. Nothing wrong here that dead pig corpses stacked in the streets won’t rapidly fix. Until then, however, NOTHING will change for the better.

  12. If our society wasn’t becoming so sick it would be laughable.

Don’t forget, white hetro males are last on the list of equals and white hetro female are second last.

  13. also,

I don’t think “pre-operative” changes anything, as opposed to “post-operative”. In both cases, you remain what your chromosomes dictate, and they won’t be defiled by the mutterings of any “human rights tribunal” or gov’t overseers opinions.

  14. ?

so now we need yet *another* category for the trannies who havent had even the 1st visit to dr snippit?

    I need a programme . . . .

  15. Welcome to Wonderland. And remember ladies, disproportionately, you voted for it — against the advice of those evil, intolerant, unenlightened, knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing, scare-mongering, luddite conservatives who predicted exactly this sort of Kafkaesque nonsense. Enjoy.
