  1. ES&S, The George Soros machines? Lying? Horrible fact checking by the New York Times? Quelle surprise!

  2. “Funny this is just coming to light now:”

Not when you consider that the story offers no chance to attack Trump as a racist or Nazi. Those are the only stories the traitorous media seem to push, these days.

If it doesn’t afford a chance to attack and insult Trump and his supporters, it ain’t news. The old media quip stating that ‘If it bleeds it leads” has been replaced with ‘If it undermines Trump, it leads’.

    1. Sure the penguin population in Antarctica…!

But, but, but the Obama-Nation™ said, on open mic, he would have “more flexibility after the next election” to the RUSSIANS! Oh the horror…

  3. First of all; determine if MOTHERBOARD is part of the smearedia or something which is not on the “Democrat Daily Talking Memo”.

Then determine is this a pre-emptive attempt by the Democrat Party to diminish the incredible situation of the U.S.A. election systems at Various State elections have been vulnerable to manipulation since 2006 or sooner.

Once you hav a firm grasp on the enormity of this situation it is time to Go Over The Top as if it was some cruddy thing the Anti-Trump Cabal was trying; ___ Except This is a Really Bad Thing ___ not just another Democrat Talking Memo effort to cloud the truth.

    1. The writer for this article says he used to write for the New York Times in the article.

  4. It is obvious that we can’t rely on elections to settle our differences anymore. They’re all rigged, by design.
    OK.
We can always go back to the old way: killing each other . . .

  5. I think Wyden means leaving the ballot boxes on a Chicago street corner, not Moscow.

  6. Time to return to paper ballots. And maybe some photo-ID to boot. It’s ironic that those same people who get the vapors over Russian “meddling” don’t seem to be concerned at all about the voter fraud that actually does affect every election

    1. Yes, and an even bigger headache – counting by hand.

It sucks, I know, but electronic readers have many of the same vulnerabilities as electronic voting.

      1. Having counted ballots by hand, no big deal, just time consuming. It is just that with our instant gratification society, we have no patience to await the results.

  7. In my rural area we still vote on paper ballots. Citizens should insist upon them. But they won’t. They don’t even vote. They just whine.

    1. It would be interesting to look at where anti swamp candidates succeed and get the most votes and overlay what precincts have paper ballots vs George Soros voting machines.

      1. Remember that email that Todd Macklerr sent to John Podesta, with the header, ‘The Dogs Are Loose’? (It was part of the huge Wikileaks dump). “I’ll be meeting with Soros” for some “pre-programming of machines.” Those emails were indeed a treasure trove of info’…

  8. May I suggest we do away with the secret ballot entirely.

Let’s see who these people are who would be genuinely willing to vote, in front of their neighbours, for an unrepentant communist, Muslim or pedophile, and make public their hatred for all that’s good and decent.

I seriously doubt there are many such people.

  9. Democracy will be RUINED … by the leftists … unless:

    1. Universal Voter ID
    2. Paper ballots

      1. 5. All voter registration, polling station employees thoroughly investigated for EXTREME political bias. Equal representation of liberal and conservative voting employees … to keep watch on each other.

    1. No. No paper ballots. No secret ballots, period.

People should be obliged to stand in front of their neighbours, look them in the eye and say aloud that they want some globalist stooge to be their next member of Parliament.

If they had to do that, turnout for globalist candidates would drop to nearly nothing.

      1. Best take care with that “no secret ballots” thing. Remember how the polls usually give liberal types a lead? Even over the phone, some are reluctant to admit that they support conservatives, for fear of the usual blowback re. being a knuckle dragging Neanderthal. I wish it would not affect voting, but it might.
Like you, I wish that everybody had the stones to publicly state their views. But I also live in an area where publicly being conservative is not likely to get my business torched or vandalized or my kids beaten up. Not everybody shares that blessing.

        1. When I was a kid … cars always had bumper stickers of political candidates … both liberal and conservative. However, that has all changed. Now there are ONLY liberal candidates expressed on bumper stickers. Hillary for President. Anyone putting a Trump bumper sticker on their car here in N.CA … will get it keyed, or tires slashed, or windows smashed. That is what the left has become … utterly despicable unhinged freaks.

I’m not making up words like “deplorable” out of some inner hatred toward my political opponents … but calling them out for their ACTIONS. For what they actually ARE … utterly despicable unhinged freaks … who will commit property crimes (and worse) against any and all conservatives. They HATE us. I never share my politics in public. Ever. Yes … the silent (secret ballot) majority is a thing. A real thing.

  10. Paper Ballots.

We use the fill in the bubble next to the candidates name. We, the voters put the ballot in the counting machine, and can see the counter increment after we vote. That way I know 1800+ of my fellow citizens had voted by 6 pm in 2016, and I was the seventh to complete their ballot in 2014. The paper ballot has a number and the signatures of the voting judges on it. No signatures? — Not a valid ballot.

End of the day? Count the number of voter signatures and the number of ballots cast. They should be the same or damned close. Need to recount? Run them through another machine, and compare the results. Not absolutely sure? Hand count them one by one. Is there a lawsuit? Lock the stack of ballots in a safe for the judge and the plaintiffs to wrangle over.

How can you recount an all digital voting machine? The total is the total, false or true, with no way to independently reproduce it. How do I really know that my tap on the touch screen was a vote for Smith or Jones? I do not. How do I know if I leave the line blank, that the machine doesn’t give that as a vote to a certain party? I do not know.

    1. That’s exactly the way I vote. I ALWAYS vote in person … never by mail, unless I was out of the area. If we went to these voting machines … I would ALWAYS vote by mail, and/or drop off my “absentee” ballot at the County Registrar … and get a receipt.

  11. paper ballot with photo ID and residential ID and government sanctioned ID. no f ing computers.
