  1. Man, I should have stayed off SDA today. My eyes are starting to cross with rage but am not surprised at all.

I was going to go home and have a nice glass of wine tonight. I think something much more potent is in order.

  2. Quebec creates a toxic economy with brutally high taxes and regulation. The only businesses that thrive are subsidized by the federal government. Since Quebec collects less tax as a result the federal government gives them $12 billion dollars for nothing. The poorer the economic management, the greater the reward.

  3. Yeah, all those “asylum seekers” from the USA, wanna go directly from Roxham Rd (notta offishial port of entry) to Trawwna.
Let’s see how Doug handles this?

  4. Go figure, the annualised pool of equalisation dollars is about $19. billion.

The underfunding of the Canadian Military is about $20. billion.

If we add the completely defunded CBC amounts to the mix, that’s close enough to $20 billion, which when added to the current $20 billion budget of Canada’s military, would bring it back up to the 2% of GDP that Canada agreed to spend on military, $40 billion. Then Canada wouldn’t be the dead beat dad of NATO, no longer dependent upon America bailing it out when the SHTF.

Which level of funding it hasn’t been at since Brian Mulroney was PM.

Not since Brian Mulroney was PM.

  5. If it moves, tax it.
If it keeps moving, regulate it.
If it stops moving, subsidize it.

  6. A poster at the Globe indicates that revenues from Hydro Quebec are not included in the formula. Is that correct? How could that be? Talk about exploitation. Canada is being exploited by Quebec.

    1. …’Canada is being exploited by QUEBEC?’ Oh, say it ain’t so!
Again, I think back to the comment from the movie Dog Day Afternoon – “I like getting kissed while I am being screwed.”

  7. Bill Morneau? For some reason the words “Lying sack of $h1T” come to mind

  8. PM C*nt must be disappointed that K-Bec only gets, on average, over 51% every year because, as he stated, “K-Becers are better”. Anyone who votes for a federal party with a leader from K-Bec is a traitor.

  9. I recall that there was a group of people here in North America who, more than 200 years ago, didn’t particularly like the idea of taxation without representation. I wonder how that turned out…..

    1. We have taxation with representation in Canada though. Remember the clowns that have “MP” attached to their names. And the leader of the bunch gets to represent us worldwide.

      1. Since when have those clowns ever represented our views, particularly in the future Rupertsland? They’re in it for themselves. The needs and concerns of their constituents are only addressed shortly before each election and barely so.

As for the Sparkly Rainbow Prince, he’s not doing a very good job of accurately representing us outside of (post-national, sharia-compliant, gender-balanced, carbon-neutral, Soros vassal) Canada, now is he?

Parliament is supposed to be the voice of the people, not a talking shop for those lucky enough to get a place on the government gravy train. Until my MP is prepared to plead for me in the House of Commons, regardless of what the issues may be (which, in her case, is unlikely to happen as she’s a Dipper), I am not being represented there.

Therefore, I am being taxed without representation.

        1. Say, Rupert’s bud, did you purchase an HBC flag to fly July 1st? I did. It’s going up 30 June & staying up until the snow flies at least.

          1. Not yet. I’m holding off on my discretionary expenditures until I’m finished rendering unto Caesar what is Caesar’s.

My income tax return this year was rather messy because I inherited my father’s estate. Once I’m done dealing with the CRA, I can afford to spend some of my inheritance.

  10. As Mel Brooks wrote, “its good to be the king” or what ever title trudo wants to call himself today. He knows that any change in equilization would lose him votes in quebec so he figured he’d better nip this disatisfaction in the bud. My contempt for him grows every day and I’d join a prairie separation party in a minute.

  11. I doubt Scott Moe actually thought that PM Butts and his fellow carpetbaggers would go for a fairer Equalization formula. After all, didn’t the pretty puppet comment before his coronation that Quebec was the best province or something like that.

    Brown bag province.

    1. Premier Moe is just laying out rope for Prime Minister Castreau and Cardinal Butts to wear round their necks at the next federal election.

  12. Remember the mantra of the Liberal party: “We are entitled to our entitlements”
So why would anyone believe that a government with strong Quebec ties would adjust equalization?

Meanwhile in Quebec the political parties tell Quebecers that Quebec is making equalization payments to the rest of Canada.

  13. If Alberta and Saskatchewan are too scared to separate from Canada then the raping will continue. We deserve to have our pants pulled down by Quebec and Ottawa for staying in this moronic confederation.

    Enjoy the decline. 🙂

    1. Saskatchewan and b*ll less Scott Moe have no intentions of separating.
      Quote from Premier Scott Moe:
“Our government believes in a strong Saskatchewan within a strong and united Canada.”
