Maybe NDP Voters Are a Bunch of Bigots

NDP support is falling, which helps Liberals and hurts Conservatives. I looked at the historical record for how past leaders have done.

Well, while I am loathe to say bigotry alone could account for Jagmeet Singh’s drop in popularity compared to Tommy Boy Mulcair, every time the party has a woman or now a man who is also a visible minority as leader, support drops. Could it be NDP voters are not the kumbaya progressives their political masters think?

  1. Oh bullshit! NDP voters are probably no more bigots than any other demographic, they just recognize they chose a very poor leader in a fit of political correctness.
I wouldn’t vote for Jagmeet Singh for many reasons, but his ethnicity, skin color, religion are definitely NOT part of the reason. I expect a politician to take a stand when the occasion arises and maybe not on garden variety political issues as I realize the nature of the profession is to obfuscate and weasel out of minor controversies. BUT, Jagmeet failed spectacularly in the Milewski interview when he refused to distance himself and his Party from the Sikh terrorists who planned and executed the Air India bombing.

He then went on to say he would continue to show up at Sikh events where these murderous bastards were going to be venerated! Sorry, Jagmeet, but you have proven beyond any doubt you don’t have the balls to be a real Leader, of any political faction, any Party or organization. And no “bigotry” is necessary to dismiss you as a serious politician, you are a gutless panderer to the worst people in the Sikh community. If you had any sense of shame, you’d be too embarrassed to continue as NDP Leader, but apparently you don’t possess that virtue.

Your turban and beard don’t protect you from the well deserved criticism of the fact you failed miserably when you were called on to prove your courage and integrity, and your ethnicity doesn’t enter into the equation.

Go get a job with Canada Post, Jagmeet, I hear they need letter carriers.

    1. Your turban and beard don’t protect you from the well deserved criticism of the fact you failed miserably when you were called on to prove your courage and integrity, and your ethnicity doesn’t enter into the equation

… just as HER vagina didn’t protect HER from voter indifference and rebuke over a myriad of personal and bureaucratic failings.

  2. Liberals have moved to the left grabbing much of the NDP vote. This has given the Conservatives the opening to appeal to centrist voters – see previous post. We are likely headed to a two party system.

    1. I can’t help but agree with you fpr. With the current Liberal leader I see no real difference between liberal brand socialist and ndp brand socialism. While I can see them co-operating I can’t see them merging because that would mean the end of the ndp in Canada. I could see a lot of support leaving the ndp for the liberals and a new ndp moving to the extreme left of the spectrum with this little band of radicals just causing trouble when they can and hoping for more BC situations where they could run the asylum but not have to take responsibility for what they ar doing.

  3. Bigots?

Or are they not akin with morally corrupt leaders who have no problem supporting known terrorists and defend their position without opposition. The left are cowards, they would rather walk away than be counted as those who may have an inkling of a spine.

But, then again, Jack had no problem visiting massage houses without losing a vote.

  4. I think the NDP is dying. They traded their praire roots for a shot at taking Fortress Quebec. Too bad Fortress Quebec is actually an asylum, a trap. They’ll lose Alberta and probably BC. They might take back Saskatchewan but that’s a thin reed to hold onto relevance with. If they don’t have any governments to stamp their name on they might actually be in danger of going into the fossil bed.

    1. Well if they do go “into the fossil bed” we can then burn them to heat our homes and gas our cars!

    2. I think you have something there.

Also, they’ve moved a long way away from their former unionized working class base.

  5. Of course they are. The leftist way of thinking owns the KKK and eugenics to remove inferiors (that’s why they support abortion).

    1. There is still a large contingent of old retired working class, blue collar ‘rednecks’, that have always voted ENDP, it’s in their blood. The party has been moving away from them for years, the current pipeline fiasco puts a big FU to them, showing the ENDP is more interested in environuts than blue collar workers.
There’s no way they would ever vote for a turban. And for that matter, they remember Trudy Sr, and would never vote for the current Spawn either. This demographic could just sit things out instead.

  6. An NDPer doesn’t usually change their vote to Conservative, they at least stop at Liberal on the way by.

I used to joke only 27 people in Canada change from Dipper to Tory, and they all live on Salt Spring Island.

What used to happen is the Grits would moderate themselves, though with the same cronyism and spendthrift ways.

They could hold the country that way, but PET’s political chauvinism changed the dynamic away from his party in the West.

Now sonny boy wants to nail the federation with his gender eugenics and compassionate passing of debt onto hapless millennials. So, a la Paul Martin and his swoon with the Bono quasi leftists, our current PM, yields the centre again.

Now, with the surging west, the Tories can capture the country without Quebec, who’s dirty little secret is they have more common cause with Tories on immigration than open borders leftists. Though they are oafs on pipelines, that can change.

Free trade is their preferred option; they are a bit of a contradiction in our political culture where leftists are protectionist, but Quebec doesn’t fit the ROC mold, and can affect the Ontario vote too.

So, the pieces are in place for Mr Sheer and the Tories, as they were for Mr Harper against Ignatieff, but with no surging NDP.

The obvious bellwether ON election will provide great insights. Does Justin Trudeau have the stomach to be as ruthless and conniving as his American cousins in Demon-malenvolent land? While he matches them in ignorant arrogance, my answer is no.

We shall see. Nothing should be put past them, certainly not misrepresentation (yes I’m being charitable), talking over points and crass attacks of alt right, Trump (tough one with him winning, winning, winning) and Hitler youth Tories looking for transsexual minorities looking for abortions in alleys in danger of being shot with an ILLEGAL handgun while militaristic conservatives put soldiers on our streets stand idly by, out of ammunition.

Anyway, I digress. I’ll add though that line of attack is wearing thin. Not content with questioning the right’s intellectualism, a poor supported argument, the left has been forced back to their totalitarian 60s roots, this time with jackboot thugs rather than naïve flower children with a sprinkling or hardened criminals now and then.

Fusing the grass roots of libertarianism with the functional statism of conservatism, both favouring limited government, is the dominant political culture position in Canada offering the greatest potential by far of winning back Parliament.

Trying to be pure conservative ideologues or milquetoast liberals will be their undoing. But, thinking the collapsing NDP vote is favourable to the Conservatives is pure fantasy imho.

  7. The issue with Singh is not a voter base that is bigoted/racist (I’ll bet my paycheque that this will be the spin when the dippers drop to Alexa McDonagh level support in 2019).

He has allowed himself to step into the Khalistan political land mine numerous times, including helping Spawn by taking attention away from the shambles that was his India trip.
Clueless of his own caucus’ position on issues.
Punishment of his caucus members for not supporting Spawn’s PC SJW policies, or BS harassment claims.

Singh’s downfall is that he is Trudeau 2.0, except more clueless, and that’s scraping the bottom of the barrel. The only negative from this is that this won’t help the Conservatives apart from (maybe) winning a couple seats in marginal western ridings like mine.

Others here are spot on as well.

  8. If you had asked me yesterday who the leader of the Dippers was, I would have said Tom Mulcair. This guy is flying so low, he’s clean off the radar screens. Like Turdeau, he is a meat puppet, but there isn’t a puppet-master pulling the strings, so he just flops there.

  9. I think even dippers have a problem with voting for terrorist sympathizers.

    Liberals, not so much.

  10. Jughead is the bigot. Who did he marry? Someone out of his religion? As sure as PM Dressup is a simpleton, this guy is a tribalist and all tribalist are bigots, to put it mildly.

  11. NDP’ers are the biggest racists and haters on the entire planet.

    I thought EVERYONE knew that!

  12. With NDP you are Never Done Paying.
Of course their PC “leader is invisible, who knew the ethic foreign focus demographic was so big?
I am sure the Gimme More Government voters are really up to speed on such stuff.
Just as our conservatives are Liberal Lite, the left is Liberal Heavy..
So their voters will vote liberal, while patting themselves on the back over how “moderate” they be.
    Burn Baby Burn.

  13. The politics of envy, resentment, and hatred is the premise of socialism making virtually everyone of the left bigoted. If it isn’t traditional class hatred (Canada’s middle class encompasses too much demographic now) it is identity politics. Identity politics is pure bigotry as it uses racial and gender differences as characteristics worthy of political / state discrimination. Singh’s election was pure identity politics. Red neck (private sector, blue collar labour) NDP voters vacillated between the federal NDP and Reform but stayed home or returned to the NDP after the CPC succeeded. The Liberal to and from NDP shift is mostly a Quebec and or white collar labour phenomenon.

  14. Ujjal Dosanjh got a premiership as a visible minority in BC. Still cleaning up the mess.

I love how it’s always bigotry to not immediately elevate someone who’s a fake Canadian like Singh. (Let’s be honest: he’s straight from Frankfurt). Not only has history proven that proximity + diversity = war, but just look at Surrey, Bramladesh, Richmond and NE Calgary. Even those people crowing about diversity only want to be around their own.

  15. Divide and conquer will see jr re-elected
Dippers dont like the new leader and will flip allegience as always, and conservatives are doing what they always do.
Thats shoot themselves in the foot by not uniting, not shut there flaps, cut up the leader in public every chance they have
And give an impression of no confidence in him.
Fence sitters look at that and dont vote period.
Liberals see this and play the tactic they have used for yrs divide and conquer your enemy, and play on your opponents
    Weakness’ s.
A divided party will never win.

    1. Well, in B.C., the next election will be interesting. Soy Boy will lose ground, due to his duplicitous promises to ecotards and pipelines, but who benefits? The Commies or the greens? Unless Scheer appeals to them, I think the Commies gain ground here. It’s an outlier, mainly due to the long term commie tradition here. Thing is, there isn’t really any difference between the Commies and Spawns party, just a different colour on the curtains, same material!

  16. The Media campaigned hard for the Turban and now we know why… because the Turban would not threaten the Tard, pretty simple really. The Turban sympathizes with terrorism and so does Justard, and Justard like his Daddy loves and “admires” brutal communist dictatorships. so whats the problem? The difference between the two terrorist sympathizing lunkhead bigots is one is a protected Liberal retard with a name the Media adore and the other is an idiot bigot wearing a Turban. The Media wanted the NDP to elect the Turban to protect the Tard and the one party State that both the Tard and the Media represent. Imagine the trouble Justard would be in if the NDP and the Media had elected someone competent as NDP leader, someone with a broader appeal with Trudopians. IMO the NDP, like the Media want Justard to remain as the actor playing PM and thats why the NDP elected the extremist wearing a Turban.
