Keystone XL clears final hurdle in Nebraska in close vote
After nine years of regulatory reviews, TransCanada Corp. now has the approvals it needs to build its long-delayed and much-debated Keystone XL pipeline.
It really was a no-brainer.

Only after the hysteria pimping opposition which includes half of both nations exhausts the legal appeals which, due to the 3-2 decision, will start immediately. The institutional left is at war with Canadian prosperity and apparently so is the Canadian electorate. I suppose we should be happy that the Yanks have grudgingly agreed to (potentially) allow discounted Canadian Crude to subsidize their refineries while our domestic overlords won’t allow a drop to get to international markets.
Nebraska really had no choice. They don’t have the jurisdiction…..this was little more than political theatre. There will be lawsuits in regard to compensation but that’s about it.
“It really was a no-brainer.”
It was politics that hobbled the whole affair.
I remember reading a couple of years ago that TransCanada was suing Obama for several millions over this.

Obama was the worst , by far, of any US president for Canadian interests. He was also the worst for American workers and seniors because of low interest rates. He didn’t care who he hurt, even fellow Americans. ISIS is now a footnote in history.1000 ALQUILA
Burnaby take notice. You have no jurisdiction to stop Kinder Morgan.
Now for Northern Gateway. It may take some gentle Kenney persuasion but with the Trump energy hurricane swirling over the Permian to the south I believe eventually the business case for Alberta (and by default, the ROC) will win. Nobody will do us any favors (least of all our American competitors) – we have to roll up our sleeves and work hard to use our advantages.
It’s scary that it was not unanimous.
Good news indeed. Both my TransCanada and Enbridge stocks went up nicely today.
Thank you, Nebraska!
But our very own Frog arseholes won’t let us pipeline across their shitty little province.
Expel the bastards.
