The Democrats simply can’t accept that Trump simply used old fashioned campaigning to whip their butts. Trump simply pulled out the old jobs, jobs, jobs mantra which included booting out the illegals and bringing fairness to trade. The Democrats insulted the electorate tried to sell unicorn fart control. I always wondered why the Russians would want Trump when Clinton was already bought and paid for.

If they think they realise they can deal well enough with the challenges the Americans present, unless the U.S.A. completely destroys itself, which it will if the progressives continue to drag it along their path of “Progress.”
Russia has enough internal problems of its own and realises that Islam is a very present threat and yet looming greater for all of the non-Islamic world. The Great Satan draws the main attention and efforts of the Islamic extremists and if that stops, Russia will probably be in for a bigger share of that trouble.

Yeah, I noticed! The Democratic Party needed to rid the DNC of Clintons (IMO.) Also, Perez and Ellison leading the DNC means an elevation of public sector unions, hispanics and Muslims.
As always Victor Davis Hanson applies His own personal awareness to recognized wisdom. Unfortunately it is not a certainity recognized wisdom will be; recognized; by the usual vested interests making the necessary decisions going forward.

The Hillary lost the election the same way Harper lost the election. They both ran for opposition. Instead of new ideas and grand visions they both focused on the ‘screw up’ they were running against. Here in Alberta we have the same scenario with Wildrose leader Brian Jean doing nothing but run down Notley. Yes Trump, Trudeau and Notley are all ‘screw ups’ I know that – what is your alternative vision. Hillary and her party never told us what they would do so they lost. Has anyone learned the lesson?
I liked a comment from Instapundit that shows that the Dems get it right but unintentionally so. In this case about Hillary Clinton saying that misogyny “certainly” played a role in the 2016 election loss: “Misogyny? Yes. Hillary hates other women.” Analysis – true.
