And… They’ve Learned Nothing.

The media spin on President Elect Donald J. Trump’s sit down with the New York Times on November 22, can only be described as dishonest. Trump appears to soften stance on climate change & Donald Trump backflips on climate change & Trump on climate change in major U-turn
The ‘fake news’ that Trump had somehow moderated or changed his “global warming” views was not supported by the full transcript of the meeting.

  1. But really, Trump may very well say he doesn’t want to prosecute Criminal Hillary. Doesn’t mean the Attorney General may have a different view, no?

  2. Heard Bernier has pledged to revamp CBC’s mandate if he becomes PM.
His plan is to not allow them to generate ad revenue while they recieve a generous subsidy from government. To quote, the should operate like PBS.
Now what liberal could argue with this without endorsing the CBC be privatized?

  3. Black thinks Obama was scandal free? Sending to his own secretary of state in an obvious and blatant end run around federal archive laws and FOIA… I do not think “scandal free” means what Black thinks it means. I expect his last act will be a presidential pardon for all Democrat in the country. Got to keep the shine on the most transparent in history.

  4. And the lefty fake news site CNN is still full on anti-Trump bonkers. I guess Jeff(Homer Simpson)Zucker, doesn’t like being outed by The Donald. Will be interesting to see where in the ratings pile they finish.

  5. “They have learned nothing” is right. They are so embedded in pushing their ideological agenda that they will actually ramp up their attacks.
Leftist stooge Amanpour totally loses it in the video below. She is not the slightest interested in the truth, only in her version of progressive truth.
“Christiane Amanpour, chief international correspondent and anchor at CNN, received CPJ’s Burton Benjamin Memorial Award for extraordinary and sustained achievement in the cause of press freedom at the 2016 International Press Freedom Awards ceremony in New York on November 22, 2016.”

  6. For its US election coverage CTV hired Conrad Black and after clicking through the channels over the course of the evening election night it was quickly apparent where the only adult present was located.

  7. IMO Trump is soft pedaling right now to calm the waters. Once he is POTUS he can start his hard work. Anyone or any issue that gets in the way of creating jobs will be toast.
Taking the Clinton’s down is a work in progress and action does not have to come from the White House to get the job done. The beauty of a corporate background will be the ease of transition to government and the natural questioning of all functions. Trump is the ultimate political ‘disrupter’.

  8. “Just for fun, Trump should make Anne Coulter his Press Secretary.”
I’m partial to Milo Yiannopoulos. The irreverence is refreshing. A gay guy who realizes the Queer Wars were won over 40 years ago and all that’s going on is the whining. A true conservative without apology. British though.

  9. If nothing else, Trump is pretty crafty.
On the campaign trail, Lock Her Up was the chant.
Now that he’s elected, he says the Clintons have suffered enough.
Cue the media, who now accuse him of flip-flopping.
All Trump has to say would be: “so, you want me to lock her up?”
Same with climate change. After calling if a fraud, Trump now says sure, human activity affects it somehow, but I’ll keep an open mind to the facts.
Cue the media, who will again accuse him of flip-flopping.
All Trump has to say: “so, you’d rather it be a fraud.”
This is fun already. Plenty of laughs ahead as he psyches out the media fear-mongers.

  10. They haven’t learned anything because they believe that they are right.
I hold my breath expecting the media to change.

  11. They haven’t learned anything because they believe that they are right.
I wouldn’t hold my breath expecting the media to change.

  12. His best trick to date:
Trump: Crooked Hillary, just look at her emails!
Critics: Putin hacked those emails! He’s rigging our election!
Trump: If I lose, it means the election was rigged!
Critics: That’s ridiculous! It’s impossible to rig an election!
    Trump: Thanks for electing me!
    Critics: …

  13. To me it is not surprising that the media is blind to its own blindness.
After watching for years how, with every new scandal, they dug their heads deeper into the sands of denial, they don’t even know which way is up any more.
What these smug lefty media moguls need is to spend a year fasting on bread and water in a monastery somewhere to bleed all the poison out of their systems.
But instead, most will now likely start to ramp up their hyperventilating at every Trump decision, and they will rediscover their journalistic calling in life, making it their mission to label everything that Trump does a scandal.
By the way, did anybody see that lovely off-the-cuff sanctimonious speech by the outgoing Obama recently, where he boasted with utmost conviction about how his administration was fortunate not to have experienced the kind of scandals that have plagued other administrations?
Obama: ‘I’m Extremely Proud’ We Haven’t Had Any Scandals

  14. Conrad Black describes Obama as “…unusually fluent but detached personality…”. Oratory is definitely Obama’s strong suit. Great voice tone, pauses in the right places, excellent choice of words…..his strong suit. His ability to speak is why, in spite of his disastrous presidency, he is still held in some regard.
The Greeks and the Romans famously included oratory as part of the upper class education. To name a few famous Romans whose oratory skills make them remembered, Julius Caesar and Cicero.
Too bad President elect Trump is sadly lacking in this skill.

  15. Cognitive dissonance, via Scott Adams/Dilbert:
“As Trump continues to demonstrate that he was never the incompetent monster his critics believed him to be, the critics will face an identity crisis. They either have to accept that they understand almost nothing about how the world works – because they got everything wrong about Trump – or they need to double-down on their current hallucination. Most of his critics will double-down. That’s how normal brains work.”
And that brings us to our current situation. As Trump continues to defy all predictions from his critics, the critics need to maintain their self-images as the smart ones who saw this new Hitler coming. And that means you will see hallucinations like you have never seen. It will be epic.”
The reason this will be so fun to watch is that we rarely get to see a situation in which the facts so vigorously violate a hallucination. Before Trump won the presidency everyone was free to imagine the future they expected. But as Trump continues to do one reasonable thing after another, his critics have a tough choice. They can either…
    1. Reinterpret their self-images from wise to clueless. or…
    2. Generate an even stronger hallucination. (Cognitive dissonance.)”
If Trump’s critics take the second option – and most of them will – it means you will see a lot of pretzel-logic of the type that is necessary hold onto the illusion that Trump is still a monster despite continuing evidence to the contrary.”

  16. Sure, the transcript might not match 100%, but we need the NYT to explain to us what REALLY happened!

  17. This, and the Katie Courric thing is a reminder toe everyone to ALWAYS have at least an audio recording of any meeting with any progressive/liberal media person.

  18. He quoted Trump’s own words. How is it you have a problem with that? Here’s a fuller exact quote from the 60 Minutes interview to provide context.
Stahl: I know, but a special prosecutor? You think you might . . . ?
Trump: I don’t want to hurt them, I don’t want to hurt them. They’re, they’re good people. I don’t want to hurt them.

  19. …why should they? The DemoCommieLosers are stuck in the 60’s with LBJ as their leader…0b0ng0 is just a self serving egomaniac!

  20. Kate – You knew it was coming- there are calls are out to challange the results in three swing states because scientists believe the results may have been rigged ! ( Ney York magazine – sorry I don’t know how to share the link ) . According to Obama it can’t be rigged ,right ? I believe Trump has been 2or 3 steps ahead of them the whole way. Think of the rift between Donald and prominent Republicans. They could not stick anything the hated Bushes did on him because they were against him. They were left with only personal attacks.

  21. Like the Bourbons, liberal mass media has learned nothing and
forgotten nothing. Just think of the 3 year struggle to redo the previous Canadian election and prove PM Stephen Harper had stolen it. I think it inevitable that someone will raise a legal challenge to recount the votes, but only in states where a recount could benefit Democrats; in a sense it is 2000 all over again. Like Al Gore who could never grasp that losing his home state of Tennessee cost him the 2000 election, Democrats will whine that hacking cost Clinton the 2016 contest. Just has to be those dam Russians.

  22. The Media lost the election. They may claim that they weren’t running but they were covering for Hillary and Obama as much as anyone “officially” on the campaign payroll. Now they have to revert to their role as opposition to the Administration and Congress. Trump will continue to play mind games with them as they are essentially the “enemy” that one keeps even closer than ones friends.

  23. On the campaign trail, Lock Her Up was the chant.
Now that he’s elected, he says the Clintons have suffered enough.
So, which time was he lying? And why would you trust a liar?

  24. And the CD continues, witness today’s “news” making the rounds.
Nutcase Jill Stein wants a recount for Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, strictly based on suppositions and assumptions:
    Trump won these states.
How could he have won these states?
    They used electronic voting machines.
Russians, oh those Russians, they’re hackers, you know.
“Trump and the Russians have a clandestine deal”
Ergo, Russians hacked the machines and Trump won.
These people are nuts, they have the vapours, and can’t accept that America tossed Hitlery and her socialist horde off the bus.

  25. “So, which time was he lying? And why would you trust a liar?” strad : No not a liar, just real Smart
Follow the bouncing Ball…Trump sounds like he would/May pardon her, but Congress will push the Hillary (Democrat) buttons all the way to the 2018 Senate race….The DNC will jump rope to protect Hillary…You know how a Cat plays with a mouse?.. It is a little mean spirited, but the DNC & MSM created her… IMHO Trump will not Pardon her, she is worth more on the run…
The simple fact is that Obama MUST pardon her, or his legacy will deteriorate further with each year Hillary dances

  26. Did you even think for a moment that he may have said that to give the impression to Obama that he doesn’t have to pardon her prior to her being charged.
Also, Obama may be able to pardon her for the email thing but not likely for the Clinton Foundation component because that has tax implications which wouldn’t look good to the loony lefty hard core Democrat supporters who are already in the Bernie Sanders communist rhetoric camp against the one-percenters.
It may be hard for remaining Democrats to explain that away.

  27. Hey Strad, you don’t get it, it’s not about lying or the truth. Its about a superior intellect strategizing how to yank the chains of his detractors. Trump is clearly enjoying himself setting shyte traps for liberals to step in.

  28. Presidential pardons only apply to federal criminal matters…they don’t apply to federal civil laws or state criminal or civil laws. And Obama doesn’t have to pardon her for anything specific…Nixon was pardoned for “all offenses against the United States which he … has committed or may have committed or taken part in”.
Anyway, Trump lied in one of his statements…I suspect it’s the first of many. The Paris agreement is very likely next. After all, he suddenly has an ‘open mind’ about it…

  29. Sure he must be lying.
The Clintons are lovely people, Hillary has suffered enough….
Sure sounds like Trump is lying.
As neither of those statements are true.
However..not the Presidents Job..the investigation of Hillary and her crew of blatant kleptocrats is the job of minions.
Trump is smart and media savvy, seems to have Obama Bin Lying’s number as well.
Gonna be a sweet 4 years of watching progressives heads explode.

  30. However..not the Presidents Job..
Not the President’s job not to lie? Oh okay…hard to keep up with the changing ethos…I get it, depends who’s doing the lying…

  31. Good. I hope their inability to learn is a conscious decision, that never stops. I sincerely hope they stubbornly persist in error until the end of the universe.

  32. Yer fixation is so bad that you cannot understand english?
Only under a Democrat/kleptocrat does the President politicize the functionaries.
By doing nothing WRT Hillary and making nice meaningless mouth noises about her, Trump can demolish the Democrats.
If Obama pardons her, yet insists there is no crime.
    Then the Democrats own it.
If he, Obama, does not pardon her, the proper process will grind both him and the Clintons into looking pretty in orange.Trump must be President not a justice system prosecutor.

  33. Only under a Democrat/kleptocrat does the President politicize the functionaries.
Ah, now I got it, the Prez appoints someone who agrees with him…well, whatever it is he agrees with since the Prez has made two opposing statements.
Soo, the appointee has to agree with the Prez, he just has to pretend he doesn’t. That qualifies as not being politicized, gotcha…

  34. All i can say is trump better not flip flop. i have been his biggest supporter and i will have been dupped hook line and sinker i expect a wall hillary in jail muslim registry isis nuked epa dismantled .

  35. I ask all a question, how can Obama pardon Clinton if she has done nothing wrong as stated by Trump? Obama can pardon no one after leaving office, wait till after Trump is sworn in as president. If Obama pardons her any way, he is saying that she is a crook and SO IS HE.

  36. The press’s current game is to sow doubt amongst his supporters by saying “There, he lied/flip-flopped/whatever” at every possible opportunity. Remember, this president is their enenmy as much as the previous was their idol.
