  7. Read Krauthammer’s analysis about Obama’s budget. He likens it to the most dishonest ever put forth.
    The Reason:
    Obama’s explanation for the banking crises fueled recession/depression is a lack of socialized medicine, socialized post secondary education and AGW.
    He will bring us socialized health care and university and carbon credits to make the crises go away.
    Frightening.

    I miss Reagan. He was the real change we wanted and largely got. And he wasn’t a lapdog of the republican house and senate like GWB was.
    I wish the primary start dates were rotated amoung the states so that John McCain couldn’t have camped out in NH for ten years making it impossible for Rudy (or anyone else) to get an early victory and the Mo that went with it.

  19. We always accuse the left of ignoring the facts, but as the figures from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) show, the biggest deficits in US history were run under Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/168/368978847_9f70bfd9c3_o.gif
    Clinton, while he ran deficits at the beginning, steadily decreased the deficit EVERY year he was in office (thanks in large part, I’ll agree, to a Republican congress after the mid-term elections). Even Nixon, according to CBO figures, started to run large deficits towards the end of his time, and Ford accelerated them.
    Nope – I like Ike. He warned – rightly so – about the military-industrial complex, and his largest spending program was the Interstate Highway system, which contributed mightily to America’s economic growth for decades. But it’s sad that I have to go back 50 years to find a true fiscal and social conservative Republican president.

  22. The tone of Washington under W was never frenzied, it was toned down and quite sensible – which outraged the fanatical, agenda driven, Marxist press gang – President Bush and his cabinet spoke to the American people and the world in a respectful peer-to-peer dialogue.
    The press gang frenzy has now moved right into the White house and the American people are sidelined to the ‘cheap seats’ while a party rages in their Capital. The question “Who’s in Charge?” must be dogging the minds of all Americans and other world leaders. The protocol for formal discourse has been flushed down the drain – even red Brown (PM of England) was insulted by the new President.
    Oh yes, Kate, I Miss W – I missed him before he left and I miss the charm and civility of First Lady Mrs. Laura Bush, too. I miss them alot.

The thought has crossed my mind that Obama isn’t really the POTUS but in fact the front man for a Democrat triumvirate(for lack of sufficient detail to effectively pin it down to numbers) Whether it entails actually three or more; I can’t say at this point.     working towards its sinister plan.
    Hey Hillary and Obama weren’t running against each other in the primaries..they were part of the same team playing tag ball to the finish line, under the guise of women’s/black rights…it did not matter who won and win they would for they were playing the minority ticket.
    Also I would imagine Mr Clinton in the thick of things as he was an early perpetrator of this plot.
    Call it what you will; this is the avenue I’m looking down with much interest.
