O, Sweet Saint Of San Andreas

Having lived in San Francisco full-time for 7 years, I learned a few things: Most of the people there are great. But there is a sizable minority of extremely passive aggressive entitled princesses (male & female) who are unhinged to the extreme and the LEAST open-minded people you’ll ever meet.  Such folks have a thin veneer of “kumbaya” but, in reality, are consumed with deep rage inside, ready to explode at any moment.

Such appears to be the case with a 51 year old woman named Stacey Randecker who went from 0 to 11 on the anger scale in two seconds flat. The reason why is truly unbelievable.

O, Sweet Saint Of San Andreas

Hear my prayer.

What happens when you prioritize letting criminals out of jail and mix that with extreme support for sanctuary city policies?

You end up with Los Angeles, which now plans to let criminals off the hook if they also happen to be in the country illegally.

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon has instructed prosecutors to now consider immigration status when it comes to charging criminals with crimes. According to the policy, “All charging determinations shall be undertaken with the goal of avoiding or mitigating the adverse immigration consequences of a decision.”

The policy even encourages people under criminal investigation to contact Gascon’s office and “present information concerning adverse immigration consequences” before charges are handed down so he can give them a slap on the wrist instead.

Say what you want about Democrats, they know how to take care of their voters.

“Progressive” Los Angeles is Doomed

H.L. Mencken penned a very famous quotation: “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

There are a number of Democrat run cities which have been abject failures but we are now watching the demise of Los Angeles:

For much of the 20th century, Los Angeles symbolized the future. Over the course of the century, the population grew 40-fold to nearly four million people.

Conditions in LA today are bordering on the medieval. Anyone visiting some of the most famous districts of urban Los Angeles – notably downtown, Hollywood and Venice Beach – sees clear signs of destitution, including sprawling homeless encampments, vast numbers of people living in vehicles and rampant crime. Last year, a UN official compared conditions on LA’s Skid Row, a poor downtown neighbourhood, to those of Syrian refugee camps. Smash-and-grab thefts at local 7-Elevens and the persistent theft of goods from railyards suggest this is a city that has lost control to the modern version of lawless highwaymen.

Incidentally, the current situation in Los Angeles is directly reflective of Gavin Newsom’s policies. Yet it is what he will run on when he attempts to become President one day. The Leftoid Sheeple will mindlessly vote for him but will a majority of Americans?

O, Sweet Saint Of San Andreas

Have they finally had enough?

San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin was projected to be ousted in a recall Wednesday, marking a stunning setback for progressive advocates of criminal justice reform.

The Associated Press called the race around 12:04 a.m. ET.

Boudin’s loss is the latest and loudest signal that voters’ appetites for reform is softening amid a nationwide spike in violent crime. His replacement will now be chosen by Mayor London Breed (D), who is expected to tap someone with a more moderate reputation.

Boudin, who was raised by communist terrorists
, benefited from Soros money in his election campaign in 2019. He has overseen a rise in violent crime due to lax prosecution policies.

If You Build It, They Will Come

Stuffing people who need drug or mental-health treatment into free or low-cost housing has proved disastrous.

The horrors of [single-room occupancy hotels] were put on display to the public in a recent San Francisco Chronicle feature. The story tells of people living in buildings with collapsing ceilings, toxic mold, vermin, noxious odors, constant noise, broken appliances, and unchecked violence. It also notes that at least 166 people fatally overdosed in these hotels in 2020 and 2021. This official number, however, is suspicious for being so low. San Francisco’s medical examiner reported at least 1,300 overdose deaths citywide in the last two years, most commonly for illicit fentanyl combined with other drugs.

How can the places that the city has deemed appropriate for the economically distressed be so bad? It’s not because of a lack of funds. San Francisco has an eye-popping $1.1 billion homeless budget, much of it spent on such supportive housing.
