Linda McQuaig, a star New Democratic Party candidate, says Alberta’s oilsands may need to remain undeveloped in order for Canada to meet its climate change targets.
“To allow a public official to insert their personal beliefs into decisions about who should and who should not receive a public service would undermine the protection of the Saskatchewan Human Rights Code,” said Human Rights Commission manager Rebecca McLellan.
“They don’t want to be subjected to the public scrutiny by delivering a flyer that obviously is a political flyer made to shock people,” she added. “A lot of them feel as though Canada Post should not be engaging in this type of delivery.”
