Is There Nothing That Obama Can't Do?

In email from chief campaign advisor David Axelrod that urges supporters to watch President Obama's moving address to the community of Newtown, Conn., there are two links that open a page with a video player featuring the president's speech and two donate buttons asking for $15-$1,000 for his campaign.

"The next chapter begins today. Stand with President Obama for the next four years," headlines the donation page.

We've had four years of this. How far down must we go? When the hell do we reach bottom with this guy?

"The next chapter begins today. Stand with President Obama for the next four years," headlines the donation page.

So, quite apart from the circumstantial effrontery and, er, gaucheness of the thing, this is another one that doesn't quite sit right with me: a re-elected termed-out President shouldn't really need any more more money, should he?

Unless of course, he:

1. Plans to run again (would require repeal of the 22nd Amendment; but since we've been on the subject in the last day or two about the 2nd Amendment, in for a penny, in for a pound -- besides which, everybody needs a good Catch-22 every fifty years or so; also, it would hardly be surprising, for all the reasons that don't need to be enumerated again, including the not-so-subtle "forward"-pivot of Mr. Axelrod in his request).

2. Has massively overspent, and can't pay the bills (it would be hardly surprising, for the all the reasons that don't to be enumerated again, right down to the bait-and-switch pivot by Mr. Axelrod in his request about why the money is needed...).

3. Expects to be impeached, and is laying in a big legal defence fund (it would be hardly surprising, for all the reasons...

Any other "hardly surprising" reasons anybody can think of that requires a Mr. Axelrod pivot?

I wish Oblahblah would put his money where his mouth is instead of asking everyone else to pay for his presidential Obamanation.

It won't be long at all before Oblahblah runs out of other people's money. In fact, it looks like he already has, just a month into his Poseur Presidency.

The U.S. has jumped down Alice's Kafkaesque Rabbit Hole. 'Hard to believe that the once most powerful nation in the world has come to this: a corrupt Banana Republic led by a scheming, lying, bad-actor scam artist.

Cements Mr Obama and his team, think his team, as a permanent political funder of democratic causes, candiates and influence.

If he has a billion dollars in political money to throw around he will be a force. Just the potential of him using that money will influence many. All the while Axe, Gibbs, Carney and others have high paying jobs for life supplying consulting services to the PAC.

It will twist Dem party politics for a long long time.

From day one it was obvious that they were slowing pushing the Obamessiah to the forefront of this story.

The shortest verse in the Bible is "Jesus wept." (John 11:35). When I saw Obama's phony weeping on TV, followed by the phony weeping of the Governor of Connecticut (using the exact same hand gesture as Obama used -- a single pinky to wipe away a non-existent tear from the outside corner of his right eye), then I knew that something along the lines of more "messiah-baiting" was up.

When Jesus wept it was because he lost a personal friend and disciple: Lazarus. Not that people cannot genuinely weep for complete strangers, especially in a tragedy of this magnitude with such vulnerable victims. But I somehow doubt the sincerity of these politicians given the games they are playing.

It is disgusting to make use of a deeply tragic event to politicize an agenda. That speech, which I couldn't watch since I loathe Obama, should be private to those involved and it should end with them.

And his phony tears were classic Obama manipulation. When will people realize he's nothing but a clinical narcissist who acts only by emotional manipulation?

I agree with David Southam..and myself. I've long wondered if Obama would try for a third and even fourth term. He has no integirty, no principles, no morality. But gosh, he does love Power.

No, he doesn't think, he doesn't even imagine He, the Messiah, He the Drone Killer, would be impeached.

Obama is the new age FDR, and FDR was in office for three terms and a bit, so this makes perfect sense.

Just have to get rid of the 22nd amendment is all.

Posted by: rabbit at December 18, 2012 5:06 PM

The first thing that I thought when I saw Obama speaking at the memorial was "What makes this massacre any different that the other ones that have happened during his presidency?"

Other than the targeting of children, I can't think of any reason why BHO should have been grabbing at the spotlight, but there he was. January 20th, 2017 can't come soon enough.

Same fake crying act that Shiney Pony (substitute theatre arts teacher) used at his old man's funeral.

Bottom feeding slime.

"Just have to get rid of the 22nd amendment is all."

Well he’s doing pretty good getting rid of the 1st and 2nd amendments; the 22nd just seems like the next logical step.

He also promised campaigning in ’08 that Executive Orders were unconstitutional and that he would never issue one. Since 2009 he has issued more than 140 Executive Orders.

http://www.archives.gov/federal-register/executive-orders/obama.html

The constitution obviously doesn’t mean a thing to Obama and people need to start worrying already.

Many people know about the NDAA signed on Dec 31/11 by now, but many don’t know much about the NDRP signed on March 16 2012 giving Obamba absolute control over US resources and transportation in War AND Peacetime.

Hannity on the matter:

Oh ye of little faith...

This was, according to a Pulitzer-Prize winning biographer of Obama, his Gettysburg Address.

Gosh, I wouldn't be surprised if Lincoln's operatives passed the hat among the Gettysburg crowd even while he was speaking.

This is the dismantling of the Republic.
Call Obama the American Augustus is more likely. Instead of Cesar , we now have the POTUS. First Citizen of a economically dying imperial America.
You have to wonder when the land expansion phase kicks in to cover the debts?

Posted by: Revnant Dream at December 18, 2012 7:29 PM

I just forced myself to watch Obama "crying" over the massacre. I can't give him the benefit of the doubt. He's not only a sociopath, he's a very poor actor.

Posted by: Black Mamba at December 18, 2012 7:43 PM

To use an atrocity to ask for political donations is so low I don't know any words to describe it.

I can understand how one man can be a sociopathic narcissist, but why are Obama's advisors going along with his illness?

Posted by: Al_in_Ottawa at December 18, 2012 7:51 PM

ricardo, Black Mamba:
Exactly my wife's view: fake tears.
And pace Chrissie Matthews, he's about as good an actor as he is an orator, as in 3rd rate.

Posted by: Me No Dhimmi at December 18, 2012 8:02 PM

His affect is strange. I'm fairly convinced he's on prescription meds of some kind.

Posted by: Black Mamba at December 18, 2012 8:16 PM

Al_in_Ottawa: " ... why are Obama's advisors going along with his illness?"

It's a money-making proposition for them: "Give Oblahblah his head and we're talking cash for life. We've never had it so good."

Revnant Dream >

Absolutly.

Posted by: Knight 99 at December 18, 2012 8:34 PM

22nd Amendment?

No problem......

Just another executive order, and VOILA!

El Presidente for life? BamBam and Hugo, peas in a pod.

Bada bing, bada bang!

Typical right wing psychotic ramblings. I suppose the fact that Obama being a father means nothing to you sick little pukes, does it? Your petty hatred of the man really is pathetic. It is really frightening that there are sick bastards like you all out there who care nothing about 20 precious children being murdered and see this simply as another opportunity to jump all over Obama. This is why you hateful, ignorant little inbreds will never see a Republican in the Whitehouse in your lifetimes. Now I'll leave you alone to your hatemongering, bush league little forum here where you can continue to stroke each other's "egos".

Posted by: Tom at December 18, 2012 9:38 PM

Me No Dhimmi - He's a cr@p orator, and he always has been. He just has a nice voice. That people can't distinguish between the two things is amazing to me.

Posted by: Black Mamba at December 18, 2012 10:02 PM

Gee Tom weeping openly for your hero that has established Sharia compliant regimes all over the World. Who watched American hero's die for 9 hours live on TV. Who gave guns to murdering drug cartels. With of course the dead caused by this including U&S citizens. You actually think he gives a damn about a shooting?
Most normal people felt bad for the families , if not for the community. Some sensitive souls cried (you can't really believe this feeling-less narcissist felt anything). Most people didn't know these people, but felt a slight horror for the children's ordeal. Most I would say just felt the hopelessness that this type of even engenders when a madman loses control. No one can predicate it or stop a raging bull.
This was an act & not a very convincing one except of course to the fawning press.
His rooting gallary in all things, if not covering up for his misdeeds.

Posted by: Revnant Dream at December 18, 2012 10:27 PM

Tom, it's a matter of record that on the same webpage as a speech he gives to commemorate the victims of an unforgivable crime, that Obama is asking people to donate money to him, in sums ranging from 15-1000 dollars. Do you understand why some people might find that objectionable on principle? Can you imagine why such a thing might, itself, be regarded as unforgivable?

Posted by: Mike James at December 18, 2012 11:45 PM

Not much different than when Obama took the podium to mourn Trayvar Martin who was shot by Zimmerman. If I Had a son...... Before any facts were even established, Obama was front and center playing the race card. Lucky that the Newtown nut job didn't pull a Timothy McVeigh and blow up the whole school. I'm sure Obama would be vowing to ban fertilizer and diesel fuel. The fact that he asks for donations on the same page should establish his motives rather than heartfelt sorrow.
And Tom, this sick little puke does not have a petty hatred of the man. The feeling is a little stronger than petty when this man who has never worked a day in his life and is not qualified to run a hot dog stand is dragging the greatest country on the planet into the sewer because he has the narcissists gift of gab and his vision of "Forward" means the end of Democracy as we know it. When it all collapses you will understand. As a parent I too feel terrible for what happened at Newtown and what the parents must be going through, just as every bloger here probably does. Guns are inanimate objects and no sane person would think of killing children with them. Sane is the magic word. Nuts will always find a way, one way or another. Think Timothy McVay.

Tom >

The blood of 20 children is on your hands.

Liberalism disarms the innocent, allows pedophiles early anonymous parol, and hypes the drug culture.

So STFU we're not listening to you POS's any more, we've seen your way and have had enough.

Posted by: Knight 99 at December 19, 2012 1:41 AM

Looks like an unfortunate event resulting from the use of style sheets on a webpage. The donate button I can see in the top bar of the page is also on every other page of barackobama.com.

That still raises the question if the election is over why is he still fundraising?

Posted by: signaller222 at December 19, 2012 6:55 AM

It could be cleaned up by now.

Posted by: signaller222 at December 19, 2012 6:56 AM

Tears of a clown.

Only a brainwashed member of the Cult of Zero would fail to recognize Obama was faking grief.

I don't expect him to gush a bucket. I expect him to be genuine.

He needs crying lessons from Boehner. Hell, I started tearing up listening to Boehner.
