Is There Nothing That Obama Can't Do?

Now that the election is is safely behind them;

The Obama administration secretly gave its blessing to arms shipments to Libyan rebels from Qatar last year, but American officials later grew alarmed as evidence grew that Qatar was turning some of the weapons over to Islamic militants, according to United States officials and foreign diplomats.

The New York Times hastens to add...

No evidence has emerged linking the weapons provided by the Qataris during the uprising against Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi to the attack that killed four Americans at the United States diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, in September.

They say that as though there was an investigation.

Carter did not support the Shah, we saw how that turned out. The Afghans were armed to fight the Soviets, we saw how theat turned out. Iraq Iran war, Arab spring on and on and on. When will they learn that neither side is our friend when it involves Islam. Stay out of it and let them kill each other off.

Benghazi investigation? Hah, what a joke. We haven't heard a peep from the WH since Obama Won.

Remember all those press statements by Obama during his election campaign when he declared that he either couldn't say anything about causality because 'it's under investigation' or that 'my administration' (always me, my, I) will get to the bottom of this'?

Result? Nothing. Silence. Obama Won. No further talk of 'who did it'. No arrests. Nothing. Silence. Oh, except for accusations of racism to anyone who asks why the WH insisted the attack was due to Islamic anger about an irrelevant video.

Just as Obama slithered out of Benghazi and out of the Mexican gun running, he'll slither out of this. But I don't think that it's ideological. Some people will say that Obama wants to support Islamists. But I think that with Obama, every action is personal.

With Obama, it boils down to: Can he control you? If he can, and you are in a state of submissive adulation, then, he'll reward you. You'll get contracts, you'll get diplomatic posts etc.

If he can't control you, and you are thus outside of his Bubble in which he lives, then, he'll literally ignore you. You don't exist. For example, the Iranian demonstrators for freedom; Obama ignored them because they were demonstrating for freedom not Him and as such, they were outside of his interest and his actions. Obama deals only in words. So, his verbal threats to Iran have naturally been ignored by Iran which sees him as empty.

He's ignored the Syrians as well. Remember his infamous speech when he assured people fighting for freedom that 'my administration will always be there for you'. Yeah, sure. Words.

Obama spent the entire four years of his first term campaigning for the next term. He built up and greatly expanded an electorate totally dependent on him and his goodwill.

Food stamps, unemployment benefits increased by several years, welfare,..he vastly increased the numbers and bonded the people who pay no income tax to him. Hispanics, he bonded them with his amnesty for students. Loans to students, gay marriage, environmental groups bonded by subsidies to groups and businesses (so what if they went bankrupt?!) Attacks against conservative groups, religious groups, against old foreign allies, support for Islamists by denying the reality of terrorism.

The result of this carefully constructed mass of the population dependent on Obama - he Won. Now what?

I predict we will now see another side of Obama. A very dangerous side. The first term was Obama as Victim. A victim of Bush, of evil greedy rich people, of the Japanese tsunami, of religious, of whatever...and gosh, he was just a nice guy who wanted to do good for you. And that megawat smile.

Now, comes the other side. Obama is extremely manipulative. He's also vindictive and malicious. If you dissent from Him, if you criticize or question him, he remembers. And he'll try to destroy you. This is how he will behave this term.

We've already seen it. An arrogant, unyielding stance. We've seen Morsi in Egypt take powers over government to himself. That's what Obama will do this term. He'll become a dictator.

He's trying to destroy the GOP and the conservative movement in America because they reject him. Obama has no ideology; he doesn't acknowledge that they reject his policies and have no interest in Him. For Obama, everything is personal. Everything. You reject his policy? That means you reject Him and are not in His control. His reaction is to attempt to destroy you.

He's also trying to destroy small business in the US because these people are independents.

Watch Obama this term. The nice guy is gone; the dictator emerges.

ET: This is EXACTLY how my wife & I have perceived Obama, almost from day #1.

ET, well said.

Nowhere to run baby, nowhere to hide. Drones spying on the US people too. Not nice to contemplate.

Posted by: steve at December 7, 2012 9:43 AM

ET

I agree with you in principle....

However, Obama is the dummy not the ventriloquist. The evidence is how he flounders without TOTUS.

I suspect a small cabal, of such non-elected players such as Valerie Jarott....is the de facto POTUS.

Posted by: sasquatch at December 7, 2012 9:53 AM

Remember Obama's endless empty threats to Iran about their nuclear bomb ambitions? How he threatened a 'red line' beyond which he'd take action? Heh. Of course, those threats were empty and the result is that Iran most certainly will have nuclear weapon capacity. All due to Obama.

Now, with Syria, Obama is engaged in the same rhetorical dance. We all know his pompous speech claiming that all people enslaved and in trouble over the world can count on the US to help them. Yeah, sure. Remember, Obama lives in a bubble of words and his words have one agenda. Only one. To control and manipulate you. That was a sigh, swoon, election campaign speech. Wasn't he wonderful and brave and strong?

Oh, Syria and the Syrian people? Isn't that the place where their leader, Assad, has killed over 40,000 of them? And what's Obama's response? Well, the red line keeps changing.

As Hot Air is reporting, in August, Obama's red line was IF Syria moved its chemical weapons around. Now, it's if they are used. But we know that even then, Obama wouldn't do a thing. Why not?

Obama focuses only on control. If he cannot control a situation such that the result puts him in power, then, that situation does not exist for him. He removes it from his Mind Bubble.

Clinton is apparently trying to get Russia to intervene. It's interesting that Obama is removing the US from the world stage. Economically and politically.

Posted by: ET at December 7, 2012 9:58 AM

sasquatch, yes, I fully agree with you. As far as policies go, that behind the scenes cabal, made up of Valerie Jarrett - and Michelle Obama, and a few others, are the 'brains' behind Obama.

I keep saying that Obama has no ideology. None. It's not only that he's not an intellectual and is incredibly ignorant about economics, political theory and history, but his focus is strictly personal. Himself. He can't get his mind around theories and policies and programs because they aren't about Him.

But, I do think that the lust for personal power, the need to reduce more and more people to submissive dependents, and the need to destroy - these are all characteristics of Obama.

So, the backroom gang go ahead with inserting their socialist infrastructure, while Obama does his campaign crowd speeches and manipulates and enforces the people's acceptance of this destruction of their freedom. And now, I claim that we'll see his vindictiveness unleashed during this term - along with the backroom gang's further throttling of freedom and wealth production.

ET I sent your comment on to my conservative friends and included this warning by Valerie Jarrett, Obama's Senior Advisor, which underlines exactly your post.

“After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. Congress won’t be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go.”

Posted by: dave at December 7, 2012 10:08 AM

dave, that's a terrifying statement. Just terrifying.

It supports what I feel is going on; a dictatorship.

Notice what she says - that Congress is no problem. Obama's contempt for and his utter indifference to Congress has been obvious from day one. He's moved more and more to executive fiat and when he has broken Constitutional Law, as he has several times - he's not confronted. All we get are a few cries from the conservative press and blogs and radio shows. But Congress doesn't confront him.

When Obama is called to account, he ignores the requests. Congress doesn't confront him other than to rail against his 'non-response'.

Watch this dictatorship insert itself. Watch Obama move to destroy the GOP, all opposition, all those who oppose his Will. As she says, once they control the Supreme Court, the Constitution disappears as a stable reference point and becomes irrelevant.

For decades since the Second World War, we wondered, 'how could the German people allow this to happen to themselves'.

Watch it happening in America. We think we are protected by the Constitution. But Obama has violated the Constitution repeatedly. Watch the same thing happen to America.

Posted by: ET at December 7, 2012 10:33 AM

You've defined the future well ET. Obama is the most dangerous American in history but who would have thought the country most in danger would be America.

Posted by: robw at December 7, 2012 11:12 AM

As I've noted before, (and for some time now), one of the next moves will be to abrogate the 22nd Amendment.

"The Obama administration secretly gave its blessing to arms shipments to Libyan rebels from Qatar last year, but American officials later grew alarmed as evidence grew that Qatar was turning some of the weapons over to Islamic militants, according to United States officials and foreign diplomats."

Heh. They say that as if they believe there was a distinction between "Libyan rebels" and "islamic militants".

Posted by: gordinkneehill at December 7, 2012 12:16 PM

Many of the members of Congress of both parties who have gone to Syria in recent months have said they believe he’s a reformer.

— Hillary Clinton on Bashar al-Assad, March 27 2011.

She made the startling comment while explaining why the United States will not intervene on behalf of Syrian civilians revolting against the regime as it has done in the case of Libya.

I'm guessing that's no longer true?

Posted by: Dustoff at December 7, 2012 1:26 PM

Why does Qatar even need a US 'blessing' to arm rebels? How silly.

Great analysis of Obama - the wannabe Great Dictator, ET. I'll only disagree with your argument on one point: I don't think Obama will become America's first dictator. He's laying the groundwork, for sure, with greater dedication than the somewhat haphazard way the Weimar Republic paved the legal bedrock for Hitler's ascension ... but I don't think Obama will become the dictator that he wants.

Obama's problem is his narcissism: he truly doesn't understand people, nor does he grasp the emotional/nationalist/religious underpinnings of global politics - it's all a cerebral game for him. Obama is working hard to weaken America: economically, politically, militarily - all for the aim of making it easier for him to reshape American institutions into something more to his liking; something he can control. But in doing so he assumes that no-one, internally or externally will challenge him or the USA.

All it will take to topple Obama is some major international upset: a global financial collapse; an unexpected war; a major (nuclear?) terrorist strike in the US. I doubt that Obama will be able to control events; it's really not his forte.

But somewhere in the background, a strong man will rise, someone who will rally around the populace's desire for solutions: for a strong leader. That person will seize power using the new legislation and the new bureaucracies that Obama is building. And that person will mark the end of the American Republic.

Posted by: FredR at December 7, 2012 3:41 PM

ET, I agree with your analysis. So let's summarize. We've had three episodes of state gunrunning. US smuggling weapons from Qatar to Libya. US smuggling weapons from Libya to Syria. US smuggling weapons to Mexican druglords.

Has any of these worked out less than disastrously?

Posted by: cgh at December 7, 2012 3:51 PM

The reason I am comparing Obama's governance to that of the Third Reich in Germany is that it is operating within the same idealist policies, the same intellectual utopian notions that collectivism will bring benefits to all AND that government is both the intellectual keeper of these ideas and the source of their realization.

But I am also comparing Obama to a dictator not merely because collectivism or socialism is inherently totalitarian for it requires a central domination. But, because Obama is psychologically a dictator. He is unable to accept that others are equal to him; he is unable to accept the right of others to criticize, to question, to reject his ideas and come up with different ones.

To function as a dictator, Obama has built up over the past four years, a large proportion of the population who are almost totally dependent on his goodwill. They are not bonded to him for any intellectual reasons; anyone who thinks through his agenda realizes it is disastrous for the economy and America. They are bonded because at this current moment in time, they depend on him for their survival and for their lifestyle.

He has done it by balkanization of the population into adversarial special interest groups and by economically and politically reducing the power of the population to sustain themselves.

This includes not only the millions he has added to food stamps and welfare and unemployment benefits, but also to families who find it more profitable to live off the government than work. This includes hispanics, blacks, women, gays, environmentalists; that is, special interest groups - all of whom Obama has first set up as victimized and then, he has moved in to support them.

This is his dependent population, people who have been instructed that they, on their own, have no power to live their lives with any success and must instead, turn to the government, and Obama, for help.

His exponential increase in rules and regulations have reduced the ability of free enterprise and a market economy to have any success in America. His massive increase of the debt has decimated the availability of Investment and Production funding in America.

Since Obama is unconnected to reality, since he lives only within his rhetoric, then he is not merely unwilling but unable to see that the policies that he promotes are economically and socially disastrous. As others push back against him and these policies, his need to preserve the primacy of His World will move him more and more to dictatorship.

Posted by: ET at December 7, 2012 4:15 PM

FredR, hmm, interesting comments. But I, at the moment, see Obama as the dictator.

He's already harmed the ability of Americans to live as self-sustaining free individuals. His anti-business regulations strangle free enterprise.

His current insistence on taxing 'the wealthy' which he says is anyone making over 200,000 a year is a death blow to small business, for most of them in this tax bracket are not individuals on salaries but are instead, small businesses while file as individuals rather than companies. Obama is insisting, absolutely insisting on taxing them at the highest levels. This will destroy their profits and reduce their capacity to function.

Then, his ObamaCare is further destroying the small business infrastructure of America, for the costs associated with any company employing over 30 people are so horrendous that companies are downsizing.

Effectively, Obamam is setting up an infrastructure where the American people are, economically, unable to support themselves! Obama won't permit small businesses to exist and thrive. More and more people will become dependent on government. And Obama's attempt to gain control of the debt ceiling means that he will keep these people dependent by borrowing more and more and more.

He's like a gigantic leech sucking the blood out of America. And this dependency on him, on central government as the ONLY site of dealing with problems - rather than the individual as THE CORRECT site for dealing with problems, will move America into fascism.

What will prevent this or slow him down? A free press, blogs, radio, all focused around a conservative movement that rejects Obama's decimation of individual freedom and powers. A rejection by the GOP of its establishment and an insistence on freedom and conservative values.

It won't be easy, for the Obama gang's tactic has been to exponentially increase the ratio of those dependent on a central top-down government, and these people are unreachable to logic, facts or the real world.

The fall of the Roman Republic 133-27 B.C., and the transforming to a dictatorship and empire.

"Although carefully avoiding the title "Rex", Caesar attempted to collect for himself all facets of constitutional authority, serving at the same time as dictator, as consul, as Pontifex Maximus, and as Plebeian Tribune for life."

There seem to be a number of parallel economic and social events occurring.

red gunlop - what's a 'wingnuts argument'?

No, I didn't say that only a free press can rescue the situation. I added in political will of an opposition to a collectivist agenda.

Free dissent, which means an acknowledgment of the private rights of the individual to thought and property, is vital. Why? Because the collectivist forces, being utopian rather than realistic, focus on Perfect Lives rather than Real Lives, and this will always attract people. That's what Las Vegas is all about.

But the opposition, the GOP, have to have the political will, since they have their elected representatives in power, to refuse to go along with this socialist agenda.

Now, try again. It's easy to insult but how about moving away from words and presenting your own argument. For whatever you advocate.

Posted by: ET at December 7, 2012 7:39 PM

ET,I figured you moved slightly into a few wingnut statements, like I pointed out. Calm down. Nothing serious, just internets stuff.
But I have to say that kingO will have a paltry effect on americas course and its the thing you always leave out of your analyses, culture. thats all.

Posted by: red gunlop at December 7, 2012 7:50 PM

red, no, you haven't pointed out what is 'wingnuts' about my comments. Merely to state that they are 'wingnuts' is empty. You need to analyze 'what and why'.

And what does 'internets stuff' mean?

Your conclusion is, if I understand your metaphors, is that Obama will have little effect on the USA. Just saying that is yet again, empty. You need to explain why you come to this conclusion.

Of course I leave out culture, since 'culture', by which I presume you mean 'normative beliefs' is not a mechanical system but is open to change. At one time, the 'culture' rejected same sex marriage. At one time, the 'culture' expected people to earn their own living rather than living off the state. At one time, a centralized government was considered dangerous.

So, what's your point?

Posted by: ET at December 7, 2012 8:07 PM

Can't argue about culture(way of life) because like science its a slow moving beast, and that could be the point. A political leader(sic) indirectly will never have an effect on that. except temporarily. IMO thats what makes KingO rather silly.

Posted by: red gunlop at December 7, 2012 8:23 PM

red - I guess we'll have to leave our posts as not going anywhere. Your comments are rather empty.

I disagree that culture is comparable to science. It's been what, 100 years since the Wright brothers, and I think that the advancements in air (and space) travel are quite rapid. Same with computers and cell phones and so on.

Posted by: ET at December 7, 2012 9:07 PM

I think ET has summed things up very well.

Entertain for a moment that Obama was never in the situation room as he later claimed (two weeks later). Where was he? Had he been in the situation room, he watched four men die and did nothing. Felt nothing. He's not just pathologically narcissistic. He is a sociopath.

Posted by: Osumashi Kinyobe at December 8, 2012 12:06 AM

The last thing Obumbles is in charge of is state foreign policy, that has been run out of the Klintonista Strussian Dem camp for the past 4 years.

BTW Ol satchel thighs Klinton is running for Obumble's job in 4 years so those she is associated with in pentagon/defense/security circles are her loyal henchmen. The Bengazi affair was her tar baby and just look how clean she's come out of it - it pays to have more heavy duty connections than the inept President.
