Honey, I Finished The Internet

Man builds AK47 out of farmer shovel. (h/t Caillin)

One more thing to add to that long list of things prohibited by Liberals in Canada.

What happens when someone builds a plastics explosive detonator from a toothbrush?

.. or better yet, when we start printing them with our 3-D printers?

A liberal's worst nightmare. Take away the guns and the resourceful will build their own. Besides, the most dangerous weapon isn't a firearm. It's the human that builds it.

I wanna 10 guage pup!!!!

They will just have to ban shovels.
You know it makes sense.

Or maybe a shovel registry?

Posted by: Philip at November 25, 2012 10:17 PM

Yeah well an AK is only marginally more difficult to manufacture than a sten gun....designed that way.

Actually gun control is in reality people control....that is the intent...

Without control of people there is no control possible of anything.

If firearms were actually removed from private citizens, then edged weapons and Police firearms would be a supply for criminals.

Police will never surrender their firearms. An the governments that rely on Police authority would never go that route. The entire firearms free society is a hypothetical impossibility.

I`ve read that millions of AK-47 were built in back shops using crude tools and materials. Thanks!

PS: I suspect that weapon is grealty overrated.

So there is still some craftsmanship left in the U.S.

He should be getting a visit from a Union in about 3...2...1.

I want one and would be a good excuse to buy an oxy-acetylene torch. Shows that the greatest danger facing statists isn't guns, it's human ingenuity.

This particular link is going to also be the subject of a long rant to the BC Interior Health IT department which wouldn't let me view it because firearms, weapons and sport hunting are prohibited to be viewed from hospital internet connections. This in a part of the country where fall is a time at the hospital where everyone exchanges their favorite deer and moose recipes. Maybe I should tell the morons who came up with this idiotic policy that they should block access to shovel sites as well.

There are several internet sites where you can get the entire dimensions, instructions and the how to, on building sub machine guns. There's on chap in Britain, who created and assembled a smg with parts from a hardware store.. when he posted in on line, they threw his butt in jail.. thought crime don't-cha-know.. the Pakistanis are making AK-47's in the Swat valley out of old car parts, and foot drills,

Posted by: robins111 at November 26, 2012 5:23 AM

I suspect that weapon is greatly overrated.

Respectively disagree.

Our M-16s jammed because of water, mud, and sand.

I guess they hoped we would all become John Wayne and never crawl in/on the rice paddy/ground.

When shooting from behind Bamboo trees our M-16 full metal jackets would not penetrate small trees.

Whereas the AK-47,
7.62 Russian would come through and put a hole in your leg.

Anyone wanna see my scar?

Troops that wanted to survive carried 12 gauge Winchester Pump Shotguns with buckshot,
or dropped AK-47s that could be cleaned with used motor oil and reloaded on the next patrol.

War is hell,
when you are carring the wrong weapon.

Robins111, I constantly make this point to liberals and reference the gun makers in the Swat Valley. Constant scoffing is the return.

This is because under their veneer of peace/love/dove BS, liberals actually don't believe the little brown people can do stuff like that.

I would hazard a guess that this site on the Interned where a -white man- shows them how easy it is will make the scoffing a bit more shrill and desperate. Seeing a Real Person(tm) do something grabs a liberal's attention a lot more that National Geographic tales from the outback.

Low expectations coming back to bite them harshly.

Fearless Leader echoes my sentiments regarding the AK design. Its a rifle that ignorant peasants can use, that can obviously be made by a blacksmith with a torch and some rasps.

Kalashnikov was smart enough to retain the original German "assault rifle" bullet design, instead of reinventing the wheel like Stoner did with the M16.

Not to say the M-16 is bad, because that is clearly not true. But, if you are arming a bunch of hillbillies who can't read and have barely mastered the use of fire to cook food, the AK is a much better bet.

And they shall beat their polughshares into swords?

What holy book is that from? Oh, let me guess....;)

OK this made me laugh out loud...

"This receiver turned out to be stiffer than me watching full-featured film of Michael Kalashnikov doing Polina Porizkova in a heavy KVI tank on board of a navy destroyer in a midst of a battle."

Lesser known fact:
Those shovels were designed with comfort like that specifically for government highway workers.

Posted by: nold at November 26, 2012 9:36 AM

This reminds me of the guy who built a functioning AR 15 lower out of some crappy wood he had laying around.
Slapped his upper on it, fired it and then made a YouTube video.

I remember the Canadian Forces (and others) Sterling which was a glorified Sten. I'm sure a half competent person could make one in a day or so.

Posted by: Scar at November 26, 2012 11:57 AM

Turning plowshares into swords, nice...

Posted by: Unclemeat at November 26, 2012 2:49 PM

Shoot, shovel, and shut up - all in one seamless process! I love it!
