FBI: That Person Sent Me A Nasty Personal Email Division

Daily Beast;

Broadwell’s notes to Jill Kelley were full of ‘cat-fight stuff,’ a source tells Michael Daly—but there were no overt threats, and Petraeus was barely mentioned. So why did the FBI jump in?

From the comments - "In retrospect, Ambassador Chris Stevens would have gotten more attention sending snotty e-mails to random citizens"

Or sleeping with a general.

As I understand it, Ambassador Stevens was homosexual. What makes you think he WASN'T "sleeping with a general?" Maybe THAT is why Petraeus folded so easily...

Kate, you have just opened a can of worms I hadn't even thought of. It makes a certain kind of appalling sense. As much as anything else going on out there.

The odor of rodent surrounding this thing is thick enough to spread on a cracker.

Everything about this Benghazi/Petraeus/Panetta/Clinton/Obama business stinks to high Heaven.

Get used to it.

Like a blood-red sun setting in the dirty haze over New Jersey, it's the new norm.

Nixon was not forced to resign because of a burglary cover-up. He was forced to resign because so many journalists really disliked him.

Few really dislike Obama, and he'll be forgiven anything.

By the time the consequences of his Presidency reach the door-step of the average American, he'll be long gone, feet up, sipping champagne in Hawaii.

FBI agents contacted Gen. Petraeus, and he was told that sensitive, possibly classified documents related to Afghanistan were found on his (under the desk sexual biographer) personal computer.

She also visited and probably screwed other commanders in the field..

General John R. Allen, commander of U.S. and NATO troops in Afghanistan, sent between 20,000 and 30,000 pages of sexual explicit communication between him and a 37-year-old housewife Jill Kelley.

You have to admit we had amazing military leadership in Afghanistan,

Any General that could send 30,000 Pages of emails with one hand on the keyboard and other hand on his crotch needs to be commander in chief.

Posted by: Fearless Leader at November 13, 2012 9:15 AM

Some of Petraeus' initial secret testimony to Congress got leaked out. He toed the party line that the Benghazi incident was caused by a spontaneous flash mob. He was set to testify again, but in light of what has transpired since then about the motivation for the embassy attack, some speculate that Petraeus was afraid of perjuring himself so he bailed.

Something is fishy about his resignation. It's not like he's the first political leader to ever have an affair. It's strange that someone would resign from this post simply because his marriage is failing.

Posted by: Dennis at November 13, 2012 9:30 AM

20-30K pages of communication... all typed with one hand. ;)

Ross Douthat's tweet reminds me of Kate's newly minted tag "it's the one who counts the votes." Having the dirt on everyone in Washington, or the world for that matter, is only a problem when a Republican is in the White House. Otherwise, meh.

Well, for what it's worth, I'm going to speculate that this is an all out attack by Obama against the military. He's aware that most of the military loathes him; Obama doesn't accept anyone but a sycophant around him.

Remember how he fired the commander in Afghanistan, who made a private comment against Obama? Then, he's fired other top commanders in the field (can't recall their names; there are at least three who have been 'removed'.)

With regard to Benghazi, there's some kind of battle, I suggest, that is going on between the military and Obama. After all, Obama rarely attends his daily Intelligence Reports. Were they doing something, under the authority of the CIA, which was not also authorized by Obama? Or, was it indeed authorized but in the 'deniable' zone?

These hottalk diversions to sexual affairs, emails (30,000?) and so on, are red herring sidelines. What is really going on, and what will be the result? Will Obama control the military, or will the military reject his attempt to take them over?

Just speculating.

Posted by: ET at November 13, 2012 11:41 AM

Washington DC rivals Hollywood or Bangkok as a vice capital - except all the sexual and hedonistic excesses are indulged in by a political class who put on a mask of "decency" to the suckers who vote for them and finance their profligacy.

I would think that one of the main jobs of the federal spook agencies ho guard this ruling class scum, is to cover up their trail of perversity. Thus it would have been with Petreaus except Obama threw him to the wolves so he could not testify against his treasonous handling of Bengazi.

Posted by: Occam at November 13, 2012 11:41 AM

Occam - agreed. The games and sexual peccadilloes in Washington are the norm and it would be naive of anyone to think otherwise. So, what is going on?

There's a battle between the military and the White House gang, in my view. What was really going on in Benghazi? Was it gun running or? And why did the WH so obviously allow the massacre of the ambassador and three others? Why did they seemingly intercede and block and refuse any help?

Why did they try to blame the attack on Evil America (that video), when it had nothing to do with it.
Why did they remain in Benghazi when other nations had pulled out due to the increased presence of terrorists? What were they doing there?
Why was the CIA there?

Why did Obama intervene and refuse the call for help? Why did Petraeus suddenly issue a statement that it wasn't the CIA that refused the request?

And why was Obama's reaction to that statement, to get rid of Petraeus?

I'm speculating, but I think it's a massive fight between the WH and the military...and..Benghazi is simply one site of this battle.

Posted by: ET at November 13, 2012 11:57 AM

Why did anyone vote for Obama?

Posted by: John at November 13, 2012 12:29 PM

People voted for Obama because they get to roger whatever they want whenever they want and get the state to pay for any unintended inconveniences.

The vote for Obama is hedonism writ large.

FBI Agent in Petraeus Case Under Scrutiny

The FBI agent who started the case was a friend of Jill Kelley. Supervisors soon became concerned that the initial agent might have grown obsessed with the matter, and prohibited him from any role in the investigation, according to the officials.

The agent, after being barred from the case, contacted a member of Congress, Washington Republican David Reichert, because he was concerned senior FBI officials were going to sweep the matter under the rug, the officials said. That information was relayed to top congressional officials, who notified FBI headquarters in Washington.

One official said the agent in question sent shirtless photos to Ms. Kelley well before the email investigation began, and FBI officials only became aware of them sometime later. Eventually, supervisors told the agent he was to have nothing to do with the case, though he never had a formal role in the investigation, the official said.

Posted by: Scar at November 13, 2012 12:52 PM

First the secret service, now the FBI and CIA. By the time this is all done every trusted institution in the US will be sullied. Fundamental transformation indeed.

Posted by: james at November 13, 2012 1:10 PM

@ Scar: This is the decapitation of the military leadership still leftover from the "Bush Era".

Think about it, Gen Petraeus goes down, who led the "Iraq Surge" policy. Marine Gen. John Allen, Commander ISAF Operation Iraqi Freedom
Operation Enduring Freedom who executed the surge policy.

Gen Carter Ham, suddenly 'retires' after the Benghazi debacle. Gen. Ham's CV includes Operation Desert Storm, Operation Able Sentry (Macedonia),Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Odyssey Dawn (Libya). Most likely because he wanted to intervene but was told to stand down.

Now the Administration is floating John Kerry as Secretary of Defense. cf The "Swift Boat" dude...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/obama-considers-john-kerry-for-job-of-defense-secretary/2012/11/12/8a0e973a-2d02-11e2-a99d-5c4203af7b7a_story.html?Post+generic=%3Ftid%3Dsm_twitter_washingtonpost

Obama considering John Kerry for job of defense secretary

This is the systematic de-clawing of military leadership in the US. Stalin had his purge, the "Obama-Nation(tm)" will have his Benghazi retribution.

Posted by: bluetech at November 13, 2012 1:40 PM

ET asks: "What is really going on, and what will be the result? Will Obama control the military, or will the military reject his attempt to take them over?"

Guessing wildly:
1) Obama has made it know he's going to cut the military budget, hard. This we know. Who will get hurt by those cuts and what they might chose to do about it, this we don't know.

2) Speculating that Barry forbade the military to rescue the guys in Benghazi, throwing Petraeus under the bus might be fire-for-effect on the anti-Barry faction in the military. This isn't just one guy who had his career ruined here, there's a large personal network of officers been affected, plus his whole command structure both formal and informal just got decapitated. You want to kill a snake, cut off its head.

3) The regime let soldiers die, we know for sure. Leaving SEALs out in the cold is not a smart move, because all the other SEALs present and retired now hate Barry's guts. SEALs reputedly went to Philadelphia to mind the Black Panther "poll watchers", in those same precincts that voted 100% Obama. Likewise attacking the command structure of the US military is not smart. They have... resources.

Speculating wildly now, I'd wildly speculate that if the heads of the US military decide Barry and company are a threat to them and/or a threat to the country, Something Bad might happen. Speculatively speaking, y'know.

Posted by: bluetech at November 13, 2012 2:41 PM

Phantom - ah, I get your point.

As I said, this can't be about an affair and 'gosh, golly, he might have told her secretes'. This is much, much more. And I speculate that it's a battle between the military and the WH goons - Valerie Jarrett who runs Obama, and so on.

It's about the military and the CIA versus the WH and their sidekicks, the FBI.

Benghazi is another facet; was it gun running or what? After all, why were the CIA and the others there? The British and others had all left because the area had become 'owned' by militants.

And, as bluetech notes, the hypocrisy of the media on this is quite something, this same leftist media that support late term abortion(ie, infanticide)and don't blink an eye about Kennedy or Clinton and their affairs....

Posted by: ET at November 13, 2012 2:43 PM

The FBI has been terminally tainted since at least December of 2010, when Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered. They recovered THREE guns at the scene:
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31727_162-20108240-10391695.html
but one of those weapons pointed back at a person working for the FBI, and it "disappeared". For them to be willing to do that when one of the Blue Wall was murdered, well, let's just say that fairly well tells one what their honor is worth.

And Mueller was in many of the meetings when the ongoing Fast and Furious was discussed in 2010.

this is more like the "Kennedy" assasination than watergate. And watergate was about the Kennedy assasination, the Dems had "found some hard eveidence as to who killed Kennedy. All the players in watergate were players in the Kennedy assasination. As to the impetus behind the kennedy ass., Allen Dules and GW Bushe's father were instrumental in the plot that killed Kennedy.

The annex in Benghazi was a prison and interigation centre were the CIA was possibly holding Terrorist operatives that the attacters wanted to free.

Posted by: NME666 at November 13, 2012 5:50 PM

Fearless leader -
your characterize Allen's emails as sexually explicit - is that your surmise, or was that actually reported?

Donald Sensing has a far different interp on this series of events as a former staff officer of the US Army Criminal Investigation Command. He says there was no affair between Allen and Kelley, and that the ballooning investigation is being driven by an FBI covering its ass for misconduct, and Eric Holder, who wishes to run interference during the Benghazi hearings.

Posted by: small c conservative at November 13, 2012 9:10 PM

small c conservative - that's a more plausible scenario than the soap opera hysteria over emails.

My own view is that Obama and Gang (his blackshirts the FBI are in on this) are trying to destroy and control the military - the military are hostile to Obama.

Benghazi was a massacre, by Obama, who refused to secure the consulate and refuses to acknowledge that terrorism exists.

The CIA was also involved there - and I doubt if Obama was running this CIA operation. Obama attempted to sideline the massacre by denying help to those being attacked; then, he attempted to deny it by blaming it on an American video.

Remember how Obama tried to blame the refusal to help on the CIA, and Petraeus put out a memo that the CIA hadn't refused aid. [That memo meant the end of Petraeus for Obama; no-one crosses Obama and gets away with it].

And he tried to lay in on Hillary Clinton's door. Now, she's invisible, and Obama is carrying out a vendetta against the military. How many generals, so far, has Obama destroyed, for either not being a sycophant of his, or, if they aren't dedicated to Him..by pulling up dirt and false narratives to destroy them. That's Obama.

Obama Replacing U.S. Military With His Own National Security Force?

http://beforeitsnews.com/military/2012/03/obama-replacing-u-s-military-with-his-own-national-security-force-1937769.html

" On March 30, 2011, Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-Tex), a former federal judge and constitutional scholar, warned the American people that one of the impacts of the "regular corps and ready reserve corps", as specified in the flawed Obama Health Care Takeover Bill, would be the creation of a new paramilitary force that would serve at the whim of only President Obama. Congressman Gohmert warned the nation, from the well of the House of Representatives, that this new "regular corps and ready reserve corps’ ” intention was to so deplete the military, so the President will be able involuntarily call up the reserve officer commissioned corps and non-commissioned officer corps, on a moment’s notice, to take specific action such as establishing/enforcing Martial Law as directed “only” by President Obama—the Secretary of Defense and the Generals are removed from the “regular corps and ready reserve corps”chain of command. That depletion of the military which Congressman Gohmert warned the American people is now underway."

Some how Benghazi is a 'bump' in the road to the true path of the Brown Shirt Army. The US under obama IS a banana republic. I believe there will be a military coup d'etat ala The October Revolution within the next four years. You just can't poke a dragon.
