There have been layoffs at the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission, CBC News has confirmed.
Best part?
MORE TO COME

Good but not good enough. Dismantle the whole outfit.

Out with the Alison Redford Liberals and in with the Wild Rose Party.

I would laugh.

But... somehow ... the world is still turning? Someone please explain.
"MORE TO COME."
Shouldn't that read MORE TO GO.

Posted by: WalterF at January 26, 2012 2:13 PMI beg you, Saskatchewanians, even in this terrible leadership vacuum, try to keep the bloodbaths to a minimum.

Fairly limited script for socialist mothercorp.
Could they be in denial?
Posted by: old duffer at January 26, 2012 2:19 PMOh the humanity! Have you apes no sympathy?
How will people from the Sask HRC make a living now, with no skills that could possibly be of use to a productive organization?
Posted by: rabbit at January 26, 2012 2:43 PMHow many were there anyway?
Posted by: stephen ottridge at January 26, 2012 3:07 PM Comments are not allowed on this article. The cbc would prefer that Canadians do not know that there are many, many, other Canadians who applaud the layoffs.
It is a form of social engineering by ommission, one of the few areas where the cbc excels.

Relax, they’ll be handing out happy holiday greetings at Walmart entrances by tomorrow.
It’s just resetting the natural order of society back into its proper place after decades of allowing lunatics to run the country.
Good riddence to fake human right's employees, now shut them down and bolt the doors.

Posted by: Joey at January 26, 2012 4:32 PMAt the sport I was participating in a while back, the CBC tried to ask me a question, I gave the idiot the finger, and told him that in my house, he is considered the same level of life as a pedophile.
The look on the toe-rag's face? Priceless.
Posted by: bbss at January 26, 2012 4:34 PMDe-normalize, delegitimize, call them names, tell them they are not wanted near you.
If we the public make their lives hell, they'll cave in under the pressure. I mean, remember what Gingrich did to CNN? These media people aren't courageous nor disciplined enough to deal with such an onslaught of vitriol. They will wilt under the assault, and slink away like Berbers into the night...

Gee, you stole kulak's usual contribution.
.
If Saskatchewan was free of rural conservative welfare bum farmers, you might have something to crow about.
Now this is good news. Does anybody have an idea how many are left in the department?
Posted by: Ken (Kulak) at January 26, 2012 5:28 PMStuff them all, than put them in the human rights museum like a representation of Neandertals.
Sweet news. Lets hope this leads to a cascade effect nation wide.
The leftist Girl from BC running Alberta(Not elected) has got to go. Wild-rose is the way. They may not be perfect, but light years ahead of the crony Progressives.
If there's still one left in the office then we still have a bit to go. Yayyyy Saskatchewan.

Not so easy with respect to the CBC. The CBC was created via legislation and the Feds are obligated to fund it. The way to rid ourselves of this curse is to convince the federal government to rescind the Act so they/we are no longer required to fund it. If CBC wants to continue doing business, they will have to find corporate sponsors and if no body watches it, that will be hard to do. As it is now, only about 10% of the Canadian population watches/listens to the corpse. I don't know if that would be enough to keep it afloat if corporate sponsors are looking for an audience.
Well its a good start. But only a start...this needs to continue to every other province in the country.
Personally I'd love to see the expression on Barbara Hall's face when she gets her fat ass pushed out the door and told her "services are no longer required".
Posted by: atwoodsux at January 26, 2012 8:28 PMSurprised it didn't have a title like "minorities gravely concerned over human rights tribunal layoffs"
Critics say bad things inevitable.
A small chance of sanity returning in an insane world. I can't help wondering, however, will those affected possibly consider taking their recent plight to a Human Rights Tribunal?...oh yeah!
Posted by: Dave M at January 26, 2012 9:19 PMSo old Newt kicked John Kings ass and ate his lunch, this is exactly what needs to happen to these CBC societal engineers posing as jounalists. No matter what John King does for CNN from now on, even the most rabid and ardent Liberal will remember the day Newt Gingrich exposed him for what he really was. John King stood there like a Zombie knowing that there was nothing he could say because he and his network CNN and ABC were guilty as charged. Its time we took the offensive with the wannaa be John King Clones at the CBC and tell them staight up " You Do not Speak for us and you do not represent our point of wiew, and you never will."
Posted by: Frankemm at January 26, 2012 10:38 PMlayoffs are not sufficient to satisfy the civil abominations perpetrated by these soviet commissariats - we need indictments.

Posted by: Jema 54 at January 26, 2012 11:35 PMphil; Are you still yipping,I told you along time ago to BUY a SASKATCHEWAN farm or maybe one in Ontario.I was there last fall and for a mere $10,000 an acre you can set yourself up and live like a king. Are you so dense that good advice goes over your head and into your mothers living room?
Posted by: spike 1 at January 26, 2012 11:42 PMUnfortunately, "more to come" probably means more news about the story, rather than more layoffs, will follow.
The whole human rights commission concept is antithetical to freedom, and they should be abolished forthwith.
Government should not pass laws that discriminate on certain grounds (notably race), and government officials should not discriminate on those grounds in the performance of their duties. We have courts to straighten out these matters if necessary. Government should not discriminate in hiring. There is a public service staff commission that can deal with that issue if it arises, with courts as overseers. No other functions of the "human rights commissions" are legitimate, or are any concern of the state.
Section 11 of the Charter of Rights, which deals with legal rights, concerns itself with persons "charged with an offence". The unfortunates dragged before the HRCs are not considered to be "charged with an offence", therefore the legal rights in the Charter do not apply to them. This is unacceptable in a free and democratic society. It was almost certainly deliberate on the part of Pierre Trudeau.
