They will have to take 9 months of isoniazid (assuming its sensitive) and vitamin B6 to prevent neuropathy from the drug and avoid alcohol etc to prevent liver damage from treatment. Bwahahahah.

I, too, have been exposed to TB from someone, somewhere. One possibility is a refugee or immigrant from an endemic area who had their chest X-rays faked or substituted for someone else. I have been told docs in my area,(middle class or better), are finding latent TB in people with no apparent risk factors. This may mean a larger than expected reservoir of TB in the general population. And 9 months of a drug which makes you nauseated constantly, no alcohol and some numbing and tingling in my hands was not something I want to do again.
