Y2Kyoto: State Of Aneroxia Envirosa

WSJ;

The EPA's new standards are currently under review by the Office of Management and Budget but could end up on the president's desk in the next few days. If implemented, they would reduce the existing 0.075 parts per million (ppm) ozone standard under the National Ambient Air Quality Standards program to 0.070 ppm or even 0.60 ppm.

This will mean that up to 85% of the counties currently monitored by the EPA would fall into "nonattainment" status, exceeding the air-quality ozone standards and triggering a cascade of federal and state controls.

The EPA estimates these new standards could cost business anywhere from $20 billion to $90 billion annually. New or expanding companies would be required to obtain emission offsets and install controls. Existing businesses would face expensive new retrofit requirements just to keep operating as they have for years.

Because of the children.

That should help the recovery from the recession and move even more businesses out of the country.

American business can 't take much more of this Oprah All Star idiot, intelligent Americans are realizing they should have got off their fat asses and voted.

The cascade of federal and state controls are a feature, not a bug. And the billions in costs to business will cause yet another unexpected rise in unemployment which, come to think of it, is another feature.

Good one Ken, remember Planet of the Apes, "thev'e gotten out of their cages, theyr'e smarter than we think".

I have had an uneasy feeling about Oprah for a long time...

It is difficult to assess how much she influenced the 2008 election.....but her prominent part in this administration became very obvious when she was a prominent part of OBOZO's mission to try to get the Olympics for Chicago.....part of OBOZO's kitchen cabinet..

This only goes part of the way required.

Can’t they see that we also need an Anti-Dog-Eat-Dog rule and an Equalization of Opportunity Bill to ensure that some folks who are on side with Al Gore and company can take over excess businesses owned by those dirty rotten capitalists who are messing up our atmosphere. Then they can make these changes and show those dirty rotten capitalists what is best for all of us.

Who IS John Galt?

It's all part of the plan...To level the playing field on the world stage, the US must first be brought down to size: Enter Barrack Hussein Obama.

The traitor must be removed ASAP. Depending on the outcome of the debt sealing crisis, I'm starting to think the Washington 'establishment' will throw Barry under the bus so to open the door for a Democrat primary...Start watching for signs from the MSM...If they start turning on him, that could be a sign the bus has already started to roll towards Barry.

Sure, why not more EPA madness. They've farmers in their sights: too much field dust, too much cow flatulence. More and more regulation to force companies to comply at financial loss or go out of business. Worst to come: Cap/Trade, to finish off any private sector manufacturers left standing.

This group is infested by marxists, and must have its funding halved. Boehner should demand that to cut the deficit, as well.

The EPA director LISA JACKSON is the same sort of abtuse, obvious affirmative action, blantantly partisan bureaucrat as Holder.

One thing about the EPA...there is no evidence of involvement in the "Gun Walker" conspiracy....yet.

It just occurred to me....it seems the Department of Education has a SWAT squad???....

How many other paramilitary/private armies does this "HOPE AND CHANGE" crowd harbour on the public purse? A hidden, praetorian guard/SS perhaps?

Forget Watergate, the EPA was Nixon's worst creation. That the US private sector has been for the past decade or so, in Rand's word, shrugging, is in no small part due to the legacy of this agency. Cloward and Piven's boy in the WH knows it's value.

What are the children going to eat when Obama regulates farms and ranches out of existence?

I just finished reading "Atlas Shrugged" again, and I thought exactly the same thing. Only difference is, the looters seem to be hell-bent on destroying the entire country, not just one successful state.

Who is John Galt, indeed.

Its all part of the zero's health care initiative. He impoverishes the obese populace so that they eat less and become healthier. It all makes sense when you look at the forest rather than the trees!

Is it just me, or do the rest of you think that the limits wouldn't have been lowered if localities hadn't met the current standards? Is this an example of the dictum that no good deed goes unpunished?

Posted by: Iowa Jim at July 27, 2011 4:51 PM

How about Ft. Calhoun (media blackout/radiation everywhere)

or

Los Alamos fire (BLACK ASH coming down the Rio Grande *right now*, dried all over the banks, killing fish. Look it up.)

Naw, none of that stuff is toxic. Black ash with who knows what in it from the atom bomb lab is well "within limits".

Sickos.

Hes turning America into a desert. Obama has let loose the green Goonies to lay waste to buisness.

The sickos are the ones who want to turn the US back to a de-industrialized stone age.

Sombrero, what radiation everywhere? Or do you just like making up lies for fun?

And by the way, it's you antinuke environmentalists who are largely responsible for this flood. Not content with protesting nuclear energy, now you're actually trying to cause nuclear accidents.

The USA is determined to commit economic suicide.

revnant dream; I was on a boat off Maui in 09, got talking to a lady from Chicago whose family operated a lot of gift shops, they had run up against Obongos "green" mafia as she called this dopes friends, over a land deal, that they thought they owned, to build another shop, but the deal was shut down because of "environmental concerns". This lady told me at the time, before Sebelius was hired, watch out, if he hires that witch it won't be long before she is on some kind of witch hunt, witness the fat kid roundup starting. The US cannot afford any more of this administration.
