The World Still Has Too Many Reporters

"This page lists journalists who are either members of the Parliamentary Press Gallery or who report from Ottawa on a regular basis."

Not all of them - just the ones on Twitter.

For the most part, a membership list of the 'Progressive Water Carriers of Canada'.

"Directory of Canadian Political Twits"
Is "Twits" a typo?

I counted 98 "reporters" in the list. And still no real news. Amazing.

I was watching an hour long Liberal campaign ad this morning, when it was over, I discovered it was CTV Newsnet.

I'm still waiting for the MSM to be charged with donating over the limit. No political party in Canada could afford the amount of advertising the Liberals are getting free from the 'News'.

Slightly OT as some more reporters will be working tomorrow on SunTV. Does anyone know what channel on Shaw in Edmonton? I can't find it on their website and I don't feel like phoning them.

If I may quote the dramatic and wonderfully delivered line by Enrico Colantoni who played Mathesar in Galaxy quest.

BUT WHY?

Found out by calling. It'll be channel 177 on shaw Edmonton

I counted 25 CBCers on the list. That's more than a quarter who are on our dime, whether we like it or not. (BTW, I also counted only 89 "reporters", but I could be wrong.)

I don't consider them journalists, what I've been viewing from the Canadian Press Gallary since the election started is nothing more than the media giving the Liberals a free pass whilst witch-hunting Conservative voters and the party they vote for.

I counted 102 on the twit list,

a lot of people who opine rather than "repert"

Shaw Direct East is broadcasting SunTV News on ch. 517.

And I'm told after MUCH digging, Sun TV News is also on Ch 177 in Calgary.
