And yet all signs indicate that this "youth vote" is still solidly behind the won...along with the blacks....
This is general knowledge and likely influences the TEA party crowd...against OBOZO....
Interesting times.....
Ha! Kate you are on a roll.
Posted by: TJ at April 15, 2011 11:12 AMYouth have been brain washed into thinking working and contributing to society through the creation of wealth is a bad thing, or at least overated. I expect O will get an even higher percentage of the youth vote in the next round. I seen to remember one of his propaganda sheets (Time?) coining the phrase 'Funemployment'.

Posted by: johnbrooks at April 15, 2011 12:58 PM'Shouldn't those kids be in school?' School is a big part of the problem, chutzpahticular, schools are Oh! bahama indoctrination centres. Teachers are not teachers anymore, they are fringe left wing nuts determined to destroy the curiosity and the real education of every student that lands in the classroom. Parents should not be sending their children to these dangerous institutions, IMO.

"They've been counted out as a name of the past by some pundits, but the Kennedys are said to be preparing another assault on the world of politics.
According to Bobby Kennedy Jr, there's a 'tsunami' of Kennedys on the way...."
Truly beyond perplexing - there is absolutely no rational for the youth's support. Perhaps they think if they are all utterly poverty stricken, BO will be forced to give them all free housing, education and/or incomes for posting nice comments about him on social networking sites. Defies explanation. My guess is the headline about him having the youth support is pure fiction, it just doesn't make sense otherwise.
Posted by: Lucky Lori at April 15, 2011 11:13 PMLower the minimum wage. Why would a business pay $10+ for a student doing part time work worth $6.50?
Maybe the a$$holes at Loblaws could hire a few kids to pack my 6 cent grocery bags, instead of the scowling union member throwing them on the counter expecting me to pack my own!
Posted by: atlas is shrugging at April 15, 2011 11:37 PMIn all fairness, while Obama certainly can shoulder some of the blame for the current economic mess in the US, he wasn't the major cause. It's the bad economy that's making things tough for the youth. And unfortunately for many of them, economics is a geat unknown, so they will look to a saviour such as Obama promising utopia if re-elected.
Posted by: Dirtman at April 15, 2011 11:46 PMThe problem is a lot of those young people believe their jobless plight is not of Obama's doing, but "rich" "fat-cat" corporations hellbent on screwing over the poor, hardworking folk like them.
That, or they're eagerly waiting their share of Obama's stash. Why work hard if you can find someone to GIVE you money for rent, food, etc.?
Most of them will still support and vote for Obama in 2012.
