This Is My Brother Mohammed, And This Is My Other Brother Mohammed

You know, we could solve a lot of problems in this old world if, every time a car went up in smoke in Paris, Volvo owners took to the streets to behead imams.

"A mob of deranged ululating blood-lusting head-hackers slaughter Norwegian female aid-workers and Nepalese guards — and we’re the ones with the problem?"

Maxed Out Mama - Ya know, I think it might have more to do with the "Kill Team" photos and also the long-running UN flap over defamation of religion. Some background. Something momentous happened at the UN Human Rights council in late March...

You know, we could solve a lot of problems in this old world if someone reminded Karzai that's he's always one unscheduled midnight helicopter drop from a "handover" of the Presidency.

Then killings broke out in Afghanistan — but, so far, nowhere else. Why Afghanistan? How did the Afghans know about it? Well, it appears that President Karzai told them. Why did he do that? Perhaps because it might give him some leverage in negotiations with America.

Somewhere in Ivory Coast, there are 1000 dead people, the BBC has no idea who murdered these people or why. B. Hussien said Respect Islam ! The Red Cross carries the bodies away, and asks people to turn in the captives instead of shooting them. How nice of them.

People protested, but we were told by the enlightened that this was art and only philistines would object - you foolish superstitious swine!

marc,I noticed this a few weeks ago,the MSM and Obama have championed the new government of Ivory Coast, seemingly unaware they are Muslims bent on killing off Christians.

Damned near every Country across Northern Africa is aflame with a "yearning",and it ain't for democracy.

It's been obvious for weeks, but our leaders and MSM seem oblivious to what is really going on.

Well apparently burnakoran.com is already taken. There goes my plan for a 24/7 online koran burning business, all day, every day, on demand, live streaming to your home...

How ridiculous can this get already? I'm gonna go way out on a limb here and guess that the head-choppers are not typically internet junkies or otherwise plugged in to western media all that much. And, even if they are glued to there LCDs for unhealthy periods of time like many of us, their impetus to violence could just as easily come from an episode of Jersey Shore or Desperate Housewives. Tennessee pastors are gonna continue to do whatever the hell they wanna do and good luck changing that without a civil war. The butterfly effect is not in effect.

Posted by: madmax at April 4, 2011 1:01 AM

This crap has been going on for more than a millenia. The Crusades and the Spanish Reconquista were counter attacks against jihad conquests.....retaking christian lands from Muslim conquerors.

These Muslim conquerors were primarilly seeking territorial imperatives using jihad as a pretext.

This asymetrical jihad only began in the 1920's/1930's with the founding of the Muslim Brotherhood and the conquest of Arabia by the Wahibi House of Saud.

Europe was assaulted for centuries by Barbary pirates bent on booty and slaves....even to Ireland and Iceland....

The threat of the Barbary pirates ended when the European power conquered and colonized North Africa.....after witnessing the success of the US Navy and Marine Corps.

It is amazing this didn't occur centuries earlier...on reaction to this constant criminal threat.....It is only explicable that more valuable colonies were ripe for the picking elsewhere. North Africa petroleum resources were unknown until the late 19th century. Until then North Africa was a worthless wasteland.

I'm now at the point where I have to call BS on this whole "security" thing that every Western government is doing. They're seriously talking about special protections for the Koran, IN THE USA, because burning it helps Al Queerda get more zealots on their side overseas?

Uhm, since when do we care what they do overseas?

The purpose of this security scam is the same as all the other scams: gun control, global warming, health and safety, single payer medicine, blah blah blah, one more excuse to further OPPRESS the nominally free citizenry, and one more opportunity to...

Steal

The

Money.

And thats just the tip of the iceberg, the whole history of the Caucus's, the Tsars never ending battles with the Turkish Caliphate, the history of Armenia/Georgia, Afghanistan, infact everywhere in increasing circles outwards from the black rock, the crusades where just an interlude, hell this stuff has been never ending since the 7th century pedophile started his nihilistic reign of butchery against the Jews of Medina.

Again, this stuff started before the US was the US anyone wishing to claim otherwise is simply wrong. It is another reason why the followers of the pedophile hate history and truth and education, another thing they share with fascists and lieberals, all history is according to there interpretation.

As to North Africa, don't forget in Roman times it was the bread basket of the Roman Empire, now lets think about this shall we, its maybe similar to the seat of learning in Alexandria, what could possibly have changed to alter that scene ....
I would suggest the filling of a vacuum created by a learned civilisations collapse with the primitive creed of Islam.
Now project that to Europe today and learn the lesson well because the primitives have already learnt, its part of their heritage.

DSV It scares the crap out of me that we are giving in without a fight.
Why people don't understand propaganda war and the devastation that results from convincing fools that "It's you're fault that we're attacking you"
They seem so eager to deny that humans evolved from savage apes that conquered in relation to population growth and resources.

Religion is an excuse, not a justification for bored as#holes rationalizing genocide.

I just wish every world leader had to end a human life with a knife before sending other men with jets and bombs to kill other men to change a government that the UN decided not to like.

I'm PO'd at PMSH for sending our guys into Libya to help a bunch of people who would be arrested and incarcerated in Canada for the same behavior.

But the UN says it's OK.
When did we forfeit our right to make a rational decision to a committee?

Funny thing that religion stuff eh. What is religion? a belief system?
Its a strange thing to try to compare and contrast, that I would suggest is something that is not possible, for if you profess to believe then other "religions" are an anathema, regardless of what anyone says everyone has "an opium" or a religion even if it is a non-belief.
I agree with you on committing any forces to any country in the "muslim" sphere of influence, unless and only if it is in defence of people with our own belief system.
As our systems of society and government are based on Jeudeo-Christian principles then yes I agree lets help the people we have a common interest and culture with, thats how humanity works so yes lets help and give succour to the coptic Christians of Egypt/Syria/Lebanon/Iran/Iraq/Ethiopian/Sudan/ et al and yes lets help Israel who alone is helping the societies that we have a common interest with in the Middle East.
And lets stop pretending that its any other way, that way lays the destruction of civilisation and as I pointed out already thats history.

Any person willing to kill another on the basis of religion is a fanatical monster, whether they be Christian, Jewish, or Muslim.

The best thing we in the West can do is to stop enabling these fanatics (and the smarter monsters who manipulate them) by playing into their twisted vision, wherein we are at "war" with Islam.

"Muslims Target Catholic Priests; Churches Burned And Over 1000 Christians Slaughtered

...most of the front page news you will see is about a loony Pastor of a small Florida Church burning a Koran…..Bizarro World I tell you. I wonder what the Obama doctrine says about this? At least 1,000 Christians were slaughtered this week in at the Salesian Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus mission in Duekoue, Ivory Coast by Muslim troops loyal to Alassane Ouattara. The state-run media has been slow to report the story.

The conflict in Ivory Coast began in 2002. The country is divided between the Muslim north and Christian south. This is a conflict that has been brewing for years. Troops loyal to Alassane Ouattara, the Muslim opposition leader, moved south this past week. They slaughtered 1,000 civilians in Duekoue last week. The victims were mostly men who were shot as they fled the city. Business Week reported:

"…The International Committee for the Red Cross said its staff discovered more than 800 bodies of people who were clearly local civilians. They were mainly men who had been shot and left where they fell, the organisation said, either alone or in small groups dotted around the town, which lies at the heart of Ivory Coast’s economically crucial cocoa producing region.

"... Thousands of people left their homes to escape the fighting and an estimated 40,000 sought refuge in a nearby Roman Catholic mission’s compound. The priests who operate it are running short of food, clean water and medical equipment to treat those they say arrived with gunshot wounds.

"The bodies are thought to be of those who did not reach sanctuary in time. They were killed despite 200 United Nations troops operating what it said were “robust” patrols from its base on the outskirts to protect civilians in and around the church.""

I agree with Mark Steyn that Lindsey Graham needs to go. It is goofs like that that will hasten the eventual giving in to the Islamists and their goal of a world wide caliphate.

Posted by: Ken (Kulak) at April 4, 2011 12:11 PM

And of course the MSM and the memory-challenged Obama forget that there have been previous attacks on UN facilities and massacres of its workers in Afghanistan long before Koran-burning was ever an issue. The Muslim savages never needed an excuse before to slaughter defenceless UN workers.

What I don't understand is where was the military to protect this slaughter from occurring? They had plenty of time to station some people in front of the compound with heavy artillery, and shout to the murderous crowd: "stop, or we will open fire!" If the killers proceeded then a couple bursts from heavy machine guns would have dispersed them right quick.

BTW, where does it say in the Koran that it is prohibited to burn the Koran?

The root cause of Western dhimmitude to seventh century barbarians is the green theology which has essentially crowded out reason, science and even christianity within our political and ruling classes. Our slavish grovelling for Middle Eastern oil and resultant human and financial cost of funding both sides of a ridiculously named "War on Terror" is a direct result of the last 4 decades of America's increasingly restricted access to domestic energy. When the Saudis are seen as our "allies" you know we have sold out all moral judgement for an uninterrupted flow of oil tankers.

As to the good Pastor ceremoniously burning the Koran, this is a crude form of insensitivity training that Mark Steyn has thankfully advocated. There should be a Koran burned every day somewhere in the West. This also confirms that the mainstream Christian churches have also accepted dhimmitude. Why would the Pope not offer sanctuary to all Muslim women everywhere? Because the entire Islamic world, to say nothing of the US Senate, would explode in playbook outrage.

Posted by: John Chittick at April 4, 2011 1:38 PM

It irritates me that even people who uphold free speech often begin their commentary with something like "Although Jones is just a attention-seeking idiot, ...".

Jones' primary objective may or may not be personal prominence, and he may or may not have sub-average intelligence. I don't know and neither, I believe, do these temporizing critics. I do know that Jones has done something that I myself have felt like doing for quite some time, and I feel no inclination to hide my contempt for Muslims behind a false patina of "reasonableness" and "nuance". When I see evidence that the so-called "vast majority of Muslims" rejects violence as a way of compelling piety, I will be more than willing to treat their holy objects with respect. Until then, burning the Koran, or perhaps defecating on it, is about as nuanced as I care to get.

I've been watching some CTV news because I've a) switched my cable news package for more music videos; and b) the election is on.

Anyways, one "journalist" offerd the opinion that the likely motivation for the ire of those ranting Muslims is the American Congressional Investigation on Muslim Extreeminsm and Republican King. Nice spin.

Posted by: Indiana Homez at April 4, 2011 2:42 PM

You know, I was just on another thread criticizing the “slutty” protesters, and it's got me to thinking. I believe I have also criticized "officialdom" in the Muslim community for their silence, and that's got me to thinking.

I've read many stories of Christians being murdered and slaughtered around the world by what I gather are generally Jihadists. Where is the outcry from Christian officialdom? Where is the outcry from the individuals in the pews at Church? Where is it? What I perceive is the official Christian position worldwide on such issues is "have at'er". Am I wrong here? I don't go to church, but I doubt that "Ivory Coast" will come-up.

I commend the Jones fellow for exercising his free speech rights. I think it’s unfortunate that it may have been the spark for violence, but I have no doubt that the fuel for the flame was in abundance and any spark would do. That’s what the Pastor was getting at. It’s like a bad episode of the Simpsons except Bart’s not making a prank call to Australia, it’s a Pastor burning a book.

I think it's time that we look in the mirror, because sometimes I think we are guilty of many of the very things we accuse others of.JMO

I just tried to RSP when I referred to the lack of unified official and unofficial opposition to the murder of Christians around the world; yet, some of us expect a unified official and unofficial opposition from "moderate" Muslims with respect to Jihad. I’d like to see Christian officialdom officially acknowledge the very real war that is being taken to them. Perhaps it’s time to fire the coach? I see INACTION and hypocrisy from both sides.
This spawned from the massacre at the Ivory Coast this week.

For myself personally, I perhaps have been a little quick to jump at the ODS(Obama Derangement Syndrome). I'm seeing a large amount of evidence that we're not doing too much better on this than those with BDS a few years back.

Putting aside whether or not it is right to burn books, even sacred ones, ask yourselves: what group of people are in a constant state of anger that they would be induced into mayhem no matter what? I think one or two groups fit the bill on that one: Muslims and frothing-at-the-mouth hippy leftists. If it is acceptable for them to destroy buildings and attack people, then what more can be said? The rules apply to some and not to others. Let's make things even: you kill a man, you hang. You burn a building, you go to prison. If all the offenders end up being the Ahmeds and Sunflower Childs of the world, then so be it.
