Is Harper's "War On Liberals" A Recruiting Tool For Extremists?

"The Liberal Party organization in St. Boniface has long been considered to possess one of the best and most efficiently organized teams in the country and, in recent years, it has almost doubled the number of its militants."

Allahu Liberalus.

Too bad there is no such thing as 72 Liberal virgins . . . maybe they'd settle for "modest sluts"

Posted by: Fred at March 28, 2011 4:22 PM

What kind of militants?

Posted by: Rose at March 28, 2011 4:22 PM

Rose, they're probably Manitoba Metis wanting to fight the Battle of Batoche all over again.

Wonder if Darcey's behind this.

Can't wait for the CPC majority.
Iggy goes home to Hah-vard
Jack retires
Gilles stays on the sovereignty gravy train
Lizzy disappears like for-ever
CBC/CTV can't quit the co-a-li-tion
SunTv pumps up the volume

Were they using Google translate for this? Very, very strange!

In fairness all parties in Quebec call their supporters/members militants.

Just a few questions:

What is happening with those Leadership Racers who did not pay what they owe Elections Canada .... if they run and did not pay, why even keeo Elections Canada? They even break their own rules when it comes to the LIEberals.

How many will leave without the golden-hand-shake of pension? No wonder they are fighting so hard ... does Biffy get it (I do not think he was in Canada long enough to get it.)

Elizabeth May said she will have a "clean" campaign .... only will work if she keeps her mouth shut!! .... ^NOT!!

dmorris - highly unlikely that the Metis are behind it. Shelly Glover, the current MP for St. Boniface appears in her latest newsletter wearing the "Metis buckskin" (don't know the correct term for it) in about 1/2 of the pictures.

Priceless headline Kate.

That's why you're number 1.

Posted by: Indiana Homez at March 28, 2011 5:13 PM

St. Boniface is in Winnipeg, not Quebec.

Posted by: grok at March 28, 2011 5:16 PM

Can you say "militant liplock on the public teat"?

Posted by: felis corpulentis at March 28, 2011 5:38 PM

Militants? I meant supplicants...I mean obsequants...no, no, sycophants...or lacypants...something like that.

Posted by: Jamie MacMaster at March 28, 2011 5:43 PM

LOL dMorris I have this vision of Darcy running around in full native regala sceaming "I'm hunting for democracy Harper has buried it somewhere." Is that what the Lib's mean by militant, they are refering to their "Democracy hunters"?

Posted by: Rose at March 28, 2011 5:44 PM

Yeah this is weird, given it is St. Boniface and not a rural french town. I've lived in the riding (granted, the extreme Anglo and Sino part of it in Island Lakes) for five years and I've never heard french on the street.

Posted by: Yukon Gold at March 28, 2011 5:44 PM

Militants, nice euphemism, wonder if the coalitionists are smart enough to understand the implications?

Liberal Count Ignatieff's War on Canada & Canadians.

Liberal Count Ignatieff: “Just Visiting”.

Liberal Count Ignatieff betrays Canada; speaks with the forked tongue of a consummate liar.

This Liberal is a transnational (tranzi) cosmopolitan, citizen of the world, a charlatan.

Say No! to Liberal Count Ignatieff.

Send Liberal Count Ignatieff packing. Down with Liberal Count Ignatieff.

Like flies are attracted to you know what, so are extremists attracted to the Liberals, NDP and Greens.

Posted by: Alain at March 28, 2011 6:55 PM

I blame it on the schools-he obviously mis-spelled dilletantes.

Expect the oppo leaders to become more and more desperate if the polls (first nanos tracking poll tomorrow will be huge) indicate a majority for the cpc - their meal-ticket is going to be taken away. The bloc gets 85% of it's funding from the vote grant. the greens will be in similar straights. If the cpc wins a majority every other leader will be "retired" within the year. Perhaps more than one will retire on election night.

I had assumed it was in Quebec... I guess Jihadists was too strong a word?

most efficiently organized teams in the country and, in recent years, it has almost doubled the number of its militants."

So they had one militant, the St. Boniface Liberal Party riding President, they almost doubled the number of militants because one guy said "maybe I'll join"?
Almost doubled, nothing to brag about.

St. Boniface Libs are still under the spell of Louis Riel. Do you want to be a follower of Riel, a man who spent a part of his life in mental institutions? And they did hang Riel and with good reason!

I have a lot of family in Winnipeg. They all vote CPC!
