The Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison was public property and they were trying to put the arm on politicians who worry about re-election.
JP Morgan is a private company on private property whose executives aren't worried about re-election.
This could be very interesting.
About the defaulting on loans:
Governments operate on loans.
If they default they aren't going to get more loans and if they do get more loans, previous defaulting or threatening to default means higher interest rates because they are demonstrating a higher risk profile.
Leftists don't understand capital at all.

Of course it could all be coincidence, but I hope that authorities are aware of the fact that the more these sorts of "accidents" occur the more it justifies the ideology of the radical Left and the eco-warriors in the eyes of the public.
Warmanesque "maximum disruption" tactics are in fact relatively successful until the perps get caught. I hope terror experts are watching for that possible explanation...

Capitalism is what people do when the government doesn't have a gun to their heads, which does indeed give it an admirable robustness.

They are all in it for the long haul and have been working on this SINCE the 60's and we had better wake up to that fact. WE are late to the realization and the fray and we need to catch up quick.
This upheaval all across the world IS what they do and how they gain power. This time it is not just Russia they wish to conquer it is the world entire and they intend to run it from the WH.
And you can bet Iggy and Taliban Jack are watching and listening and taking notes. They see this as THEIR time to shine and take advantage of the upheaval elsewhere to gain power in Canada.
One of the last bastions of reason and economic health.
I hope the Conservatives get a HUGE majority this time round when the writ is dropped and end Iggy's and Layton's aspirations for good.
Then we can see what we can do about the Bloc and arranging our parliament for ALL Canadians. Shut the door on a separatist party holding the balance of power over the rest of us!

I am in the Steelworkers' Union, and it is very obvious that the union bosses don't give a hoot about the rank and file. Their monthly magazine reads like something from the old Socialist Workers' Party, and only a hard-core Marxist could stand to read it. When our contract negotiations come around every few years, the bigwigs are nowhere to be seen. We make do with their incompetent International rep and look like fools every time. The lie that unions care about their minions is as much crap as the idea that Democrats care about the little guy. If these clowns have their way, we will all be unemployed.

W. German Chancellor Helmut Kohl was smarter: he waved around the deutschmarks, and the socialists - with very few exceptions - never got off the starting line. Now they're just a bunch of old hippies wondering what they did wrong.
Posted by: Jamie MacMaster at March 23, 2011 4:02 PM" the Union leadership recognizes it cannot operate in the sunshine of open publicity "
Which is why I've sent a 'letter to the editor' of our local papers, pointing out the actions of the B.C. Teachers Federation. That organization has always been amongst the most militant of public sector unions and they are entering into contract negotiatons with a new, untested and very much 'federal Liberal' affiliated Premier - Christy Clark.
I pointed out that of four key speakers at their annual convention, the BCTF has invited a representative of the Wisconsin Education Association, the president of the B.C. Federation of Labour and the B.C. president of CUPE. This is a union that's just spoiling for a fight with government, knowing that most of the local school boards are beholden to the BCTF for the money and 'labour' th BCTF has put into electing union friendly Board members.
As I wrote, "Buckle up, because we're likely in for a very bumpy ride ahead."

But we would have to turn the universities into prisons to prosecute sedition. It's just not gonna happen, and that's probably a good thing. There's more chance of getting charged with smoking a joint in Vancouver than getting charged with sedition.

Posted by: Bill Stewart at March 23, 2011 11:38 PMHow many people need to lose their homes, to have their RRSP's and pensions tank before it's considered sedition what Wall Street did to them?
~Bill Stewart
Wall Street didn't do it to them:
The political regulators created bank loan regulations based on racial perogatives that forced the banks to issue bad subprime loans with Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac as underwriters.
This is what caused the housing bubble, artificially creating buyers who didn't have the income to BE BUYERS.
The banks spread the risk by rolling the bad subprime loans in with the good prime loans which already existed as financial instruments tailor made as an investment.
Wall Street, which was already selling the good loan packages as investments, readily accepted the new mixed loan packages from the banks as just new investments.
The subprime bad loans were defaulted on by the trashy flakes who could never have kept up their mortgage payments and should never have gotten loans in the first place except that socialist politicians forced the banks to issue those loans.
The default on those mortgages by people who shouldn't have qualified for mortgages caused the housing bubble to pop and people who could afford to pay their mortgagers walked away from their homes because they weren't worth the money they borrowed to pay for them, because of the inflated home prices caused by issuing subprime mortgages, when the housing bubble burst.
Runaway deflation of housing asset values caused by socialist regulatory interference in the housing market caused the whole market to collapse because the toxic assets were part of nearly everyone's diverse stock portfolios.
(not mine though, I knew better)

Everyone who comes to this incredible site should pay attention to what Ken Kulak has been saying re: Bolsheviks; he knows the drill. They come in the smooth form of sweet caring folksy people (just like you!) they claim to be on 'the people's side' and offer the poor other people's money with no strings attached. Free hospitals, free day care, endless grants and UIC....you just keep you big yap closed when they steal your right to private property, the right to defend yourself, the right to ride a bike with the wind in your hair, the right to smoke a legal product in your own house or on property 'owned' by another person who is not 'offended'; if a economically dependant person voices disapproval of any of the gument policies he is marginalized and cut off the freebies. I once worked for the Dept of Highways and I was fired when I told someone in the lunch room that I was voting Social Credit. So much for freedom of speech - that happened back in the 1970s.

Most Canadians and Americans do not have a clue about the terrors that the Bolsheviks unleashed on the Russian people and on the nations that fell to the sadist maniacs after the second world war. The reason that I knew a bit about the horrors was that we read lots at home (we had some old books about the Russian Revolution written some people who escaped) Also, my Mom was in London serving in Air Force enlistment and discharge during WWII. She told us that American troops were forced to shoot at Russian troops running for the hills to prevent being shipped back to Russia. She said returning Canadian soldiers had told her about it and that it shook them up in a very bad way; she also told me that most of the soldiers wanted to fight on and finish off Stalin and the Commies but FDR would not help the effort, FDR caved to Stalin, not Churchill and not our fighting men.
Canadian schools do not and never did teach about the gulags and grinding terror that shadowed every day in the life of every man woman and child unlucky enough to be born in the Soviet Union. I read all of Solzhenitsyn's books (including Gulags I, II, and II) and Ayn Rand's "We the Living" in my late teens/early twenties.I never did understand why my peers were so pleased with the CCF and Communism. Most of my peers ridiculed me as a throw back in my choice of literature. Most of us were what my dad called 'young fools', most of the boomers here voted for the left because they wanted to be 'free'! They opened the door for slavery. Ironic.
The people who built this country were born before 1940; they were strong, courageous, honest and true. They gave their children too much for 'free' and the result is what we see today: 'free' health-care, 'free' schooling, 'free' money (UIC) for not working...the boomers know the price of everything and the value of nothing because parents were too forgiving, churches pandered to the lefties in an effort to get grants and parishioners (no Hell and Brim fire in our churches they 'helped' girls in trouble to get rid of their babies before those babies were born), and the teachers were all indoctrinated with the socialist propaganda before they set foot in the classrooms.
We are fortunate to have you, Ken (Kulak), here to wake us up!
Please note that I generalized about all the fore mentioned institutions and groups - there were sizable exceptions to all.
