In which Steyn describes the unacceptable:
I suppose one should be relieved that he absolutely accepts that it’s absolutely unacceptable. The trouble is, as your average honor killer or clitoridectomist around the planet well understands, “absolutely unacceptable” is Liberal Weeniepants-speak for “we entirely accept it”.Posted by Cjunk at March 22, 2011 11:46 AM
Actually, it's Liberal-wienie speak for 'we'll do nothing about it except huff and puff in emasculated fury'.
Posted by: grok at March 22, 2011 12:11 PMOnce again, Mark Steyn shines a brilliant light into the mirky minds of air heads (Just Turdo is an airhead with a hairdo) and exposes another goof with his pants down. People like Peeairs offspring do not go futher than the mirror in their quest for compassion and/or concern. In Peeair's kid's mind, Justice, 'c'est moi'! He looks at it lovingly every day, all day.

The second half of the headline is inadvertently amusing:
"Justin Trudeau offers honour-killing mea culpa"
Given the way things are going, it's only a matter of time until that's the _entire_ headline.
Conan the Absolutely Unacceptable...The Absolutely Unacceptable Invasions...maybe this could work!
Posted by: Mrs. Beazly at March 22, 2011 12:43 PMI sense that Justin Trudeau will be "the gift that keeps on giving" - to the Conservatives that is - in the decades ahead!
Posted by: Robert W. at March 22, 2011 12:57 PMI'm sure Justin finds all this unwanted criticism unacceptably barbaric.
...after all; being the chosen offspring of the great whazoo of Cdn. politics makes whatever he says or thinks justifiably unquestionable.

"Oh Justin, don't you feel that the phrase 'absolutely
unacceptable' is a bit too intolerant?"
"How about 'Double Plus Ungood' instead."

Posted by: neo at March 22, 2011 1:54 PMWhen Mr Trudeau shares his incredible wealth of experience, I thank God.
I thank god I've never had to endure a conversation with the man.
I thank God I'm not related to the man.
I thank God I was not born of privilige.
Meaning I, like other ordinary citizens, had to learn the real world. Yes, it's the hard way. But experience makes for a solid foundation, on a long difficult road to ones demise.
Yeah when his type speaks, I feel a whole lot better about myself.
Posted by: eastern paul at March 22, 2011 2:06 PMold duffer @ 1:00, good thing I had not just taken a sip of coffee.
Methinks the ivory tower icon is loosing some of his luster.

Maybe these Liberals have something here, imagine if the rhetoric had been toned down throughout history, and Neville Chamberlain had said to Germany,"the invasion of Poland is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE".
No World War 2. No holocaust.
Posted by: dmorris at March 22, 2011 3:07 PMIf the milquetoast response to acts of utter barbarity (did I say that?) is standard, don't be surprised why they haven't been stamped out.
Call these things what they are- barbaric. Where is their courage?
Of course...liberal. What was I thinking?
Posted by: Osumashi Kinyobe at March 22, 2011 3:23 PMWhat a moron steyn is. It takes a special kind of simpleton to criticize someone for saying the exact opposite of what he actually said.
Posted by: Alex at March 22, 2011 8:26 PMAnd you speak from personal experience, Alex?
Posted by: tanker at March 22, 2011 9:07 PMAlex, you magnificently ignorant slut! That's by far the funniest thing you've ever said.

Posted by: Alex at March 22, 2011 9:51 PMThe left will embrace the hedonism of any culture on earth or the barbarity of any culture that is "non European white".
It's fetish and racism wrapped up in twisted balls of illogic fueling the minds of the left. If you can get your head around it, which is nearly impossible, you can really see the trouble western society is in. The left grew out of soft comfortable lifestyles like a malignant cancer that went unchecked. Now as a society we are in chemotherapy hoping and praying it's not too late and how much time do we have remaining.
Okay Justin, honor killing are absolutely unacceptable. Meaning you are not going to accept any. Meaning you are going to stop them. Please let us know what you are going to do to stop them. And if any more honor killings occur, it would suggest your efforts have not been effective. I am not sure why you want to take responsibility for stopping honor killings but if you want the responsibility, have at it! I expect that if you do stop them, it should really enhance your politican career.

"grew ... unchecked ..." in large part because

Personally I'd say it all started when people stopped believing in Santa Claus. You can't have a moral society if people don't believe in a fat man who brings presents.

It's never too late Knight, but we may have to wait a while longer.

"You can't have a moral society if people don't believe in a fat man who brings presents".
Suppose that's why the left worships and believes in a skinny black man who only promises to bring presents.
Why in the world would I give a shit what "the left" believes in?

You been posting here for how long? And no one has a clue what you believe in, aside from "nothing".
Must be some sort of existential nihilism, where you simply argue to argue with whatever topic is at hand.
Whatever, different strokes I guess................
"You been posting here for how long? And no one has a clue what you believe in, aside from 'nothing'."
You can lead a horse to water ... but you can't make him think.
