Why "Progressives" Should Always Remain in Quotes

Here's a most educational video from a recent "progressive" rally in Palm Springs, California. It was sponsored by Common Cause, The Ruckus Society, Greenpeace, Code Pink, the Progressive Democrats of America, and others. Watch the peace & love spew forth:

"Progressives" say the darndest things don't they? It's interesting how, when you let them open up their hearts & minds, you too often find absolute darkness and unparalleled hatred towards all who disagree with them. Plus, the added bonus of being a "progressive" is that you never have to say you're sorry for ... anything! Undoubtedly, if any of these folks were called out for what they'd said, they would have been "joking" and wondered why YOU don't have a sense of humour.

Oh boy. Could you hear the likes of Maddow and Matthews if this was a Tea Party rally? They would be foaming at the mouth. Instead, what do we hear? Nothing. Doesn't fit the narrative therefore it will be ignored.

I've been listening to this sort of evil all my life. It has long been obvious that "progressives" were always motivated by hate and resentment--and a lust for power. They were never the peaceful, tolerant wise people they claimed to be. Never. When they let slip the mask, the monster within is revealed.

String up Clarence Thomas (and his wife)? Is that before or after they shoot Sarah Palin? One can sense the dangerous atmosphere of hate and violence surrounding these people. Will they pin a target on Thomas's back?

Well sick morons like these ones explains Obozo's popularity.

"A $5 million lawsuit filed in federal court in New York on Tuesday against former US President Jimmy Carter and publisher Simon & Schuster alleges that Carter’s 2006 book Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid contains false information and was intended to deceive the public and promote an anti-Israel agenda.

....The plaintiffs are Americans, with two of the five holding dual American-Israeli citizenship.

...By claiming to be a Middle East expert, the suit claims, Carter and, by extension, his publisher, intentionally presented inaccurate information that was highly critical of Israel and therefore violated a New York law that makes it illegal to “engage in deceptive acts in the course of conducting business.”

...The complaint notes that former Carter aides and colleagues contacted Simon & Schuster with concerns about inaccuracies in the book, but that the allegations were not investigated further.

......“Ours is a much more serious subject I believe, because the book intentionally misleads and misrepresents about actual historic events and much of the public debate going on today about Israel is based on what people believe actually has transpired in past discussions, etc.,” Schoen wrote in his e-mail.

“For a former President to misstate these things obviously was anathema enough for his closest aides, supporters, and confidantes to quit over it and expose the falsehoods for what they were.”"

Pure hatred is what these "progressives" are all about.

No wonder they like the muslims so much. Both ideologues live on hate.

These people have one thing right -

It IS time to start all over. Guess who will be on the losing end of that decline?

Lefty's only thrive in made and comfortable societies; they don't exist in struggling nations or nation building communities except as quite mice in the shadows waiting for their day to come.

So bring it on, time to clean house, history proves which character will survive.

The last ditchpig with the nauseating voice typlifies this coagulation of sickos, dumb as a slug and aggravating to boot. This is what happens when leftie teachers and profs are let to their own devices and tenure in schoolrooms of idiots, that have no friends. They go to rallies to find friends, have sex and create more Woodstockians, what a nightmare.

"Put him back in the fields."

Posted by: Black Mamba hates old evil hippies at February 3, 2011 2:53 PM

Oh, I know! These people have clearly been influenced by Sarah Palin's Facebook page.

Posted by: Black Mamba at February 3, 2011 3:15 PM

Wow. The guy advocating "revolution now, just like in Egypt". Exactly who is the dictator in the USA? Barry? Okay lets go for it. And Clarence Thomas, a justice of the freaking Supreme Court, "back to the fields"? Oh I know its the politics of peace!

Posted by: Rick Rae at February 3, 2011 3:21 PM

I pity the progressives, their glory days are behind them and how they long for a leader like Stalin or Mao and?

Posted by: Rose at February 3, 2011 3:34 PM

oh i dunno...when i get wound up about lefties and lllieberals i make these guys sound like choir boys....

Posted by: john begley at February 3, 2011 3:43 PM

I agree with begles, here.
Alternately, it's all fun and games until a Jared Loughner starts seriously blurring the already blurred Leftie line between dreams and reality.

Did a lot of those people in the vid seemed to be stoned?

Posted by: Oz at February 3, 2011 3:58 PM

The left Coast Californians are driving out the middle class and those you witnessed are typical of the body politic. The intelligentsia of the ecofeminist left!

Posted by: John Chittick at February 3, 2011 4:04 PM

Was that Van Jones at the beginning? Thought he was hanging with Chavez.

Posted by: Rob @ dailyrasp at February 3, 2011 4:19 PM

But didn't Obama say that 'we must all be civil' to each other, and didn't the left declare that they never, ever, said mean things about other people?

Didn't the left blame Palin, and FOX and Beck and..for the Tuscon shootings? Because they said 'bad things' about others?

Does this mean that IF someone black, or wealthy, or...is attacked by anyone at all, in any place, that it's due to these people here at this meeting and their talk?

Posted by: ET at February 3, 2011 4:21 PM

Yes, Oz.
But that's no excuse.

Posted by: bluetech at February 3, 2011 4:45 PM

This is why I won't call them "progressives".
"Back the fields"? What century is that yahoo in?

Posted by: Osumashi Kinyobe at February 3, 2011 4:58 PM

I will leave as an exercise to the reader a prediction of what the MSM reaction would be if conservatives ever said anything even half that inflammatory about a prominent black man married to a white woman.

Projection. It's the Left's most damning blind spot. If you want to know what lies in their hearts and minds, you need only observe the accusatory narrative they have established about conservatives. They accuse others of the very things they themselves manifest.

And lest anyone think this is mostly a US problem, look at the comments today (3 Feb) on Lawrence Martin's column in the Globe and Mail. The column is a pathological distortion of reality. The bulk of the early comments are pure hatred. We do have a serious problem in Canada: it's the so-called mainstream media, specifically the self-proclaimed "Jewels in the Crown": the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, and the CBC.

bleet/mouth/alex/beagle - are you watching closely? That's your lot, live. Not pretty, eh?

I could be wrong, but I believe I read in "Liberal Fascism" (Jonah Goldberg) that the term "progressive" was a code word coined by American communists at the time of the Russian revolution so people wouldn't think they were communists. I don't believe anything has changed.

Posted by: minuteman at February 3, 2011 7:10 PM

Rose says it well @ 3:34.

These folk have their counterparts here in Canada.

John C

U nailed it. for close to two decades middle class families have been leaving major coastal cites in droves. In the case of Cali, illegal immigration has canceled-out this population drain, but not the economic drain. Middle class families with brains don't take too long to feel the crunch of ridiculous taxes, living costs, and crime.

Osu

It's okay to call them 'Progressives' with a capital 'P'. Other than that, I see where you're comming from.

'P'rogressives = regressive

Posted by: Indiana Trollmez at February 3, 2011 10:09 PM

Progressives advocate personal freedom in only two areas: sex and drugs. In all other areas, they are anti-freedom and totalitarian.

Posted by: Mark at February 4, 2011 8:10 AM

One wanders where are the people with some brain activity.

Posted by: Lev at February 4, 2011 10:34 AM

It has been my experience, limited as it is, that the Progressives that I have met have been peaceful only because they lacked the where-with-all to be dangerous. Arm them and they lack the conscience of a normal person, psychopathic in fact and become a creature that is to be shot down on sight. Nasty little shits!!
