Now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose!
"You know that Republicans will yell about the evils of partisanship whenever anyone tries to make a connection between the rhetoric of Beck, Limbaugh, etc. and the violence I fear we’re going to see in the months and years ahead. But violent acts are what happen when you create a climate of hate. And it’s long past time for the GOP’s leaders to take a stand against the hate-mongers.."
Even before Bush was elected president, the kill-Bush talk and imagery started. When Governor Bush was delivering his 2000 convention speech, Craig Kilborn, a CBS talk-show host, showed him on the screen with the words “SNIPERS WANTED.” Six years later, Bill Maher, the comedian-pundit, was having a conversation with John Kerry. He asked the senator what he had gotten his wife for her birthday. Kerry answered that he had taken her to Vermont. Maher said, “You could have went to New Hampshire and killed two birds with one stone.” (New Hampshire is an early primary state, of course.) Kerry said, “Or I could have gone to 1600 Pennsylvania and killed the real bird with one stone.” (This is the same Kerry who joked in 1988, “Somebody told me the other day that the Secret Service has orders that if George Bush is shot, they’re to shoot Quayle.”) Also in 2006, the New York comptroller, Alan Hevesi, spoke to graduating students at Queens College. He said that his fellow Democrat, Sen. Charles Schumer, would “put a bullet between the president’s eyes if he could get away with it.”

And the first people that Castro and the Che purged from the party and assassinated some 50 years ago were fellow revolutionaries.
I've been following all these links since Saturday. Glad they are now being compiled. Thank God for the internet. I have interrupted a Palin-bashing discussion on FB to try to 'inform' a few people that Jared L is to blame for the murders, and that if he was 'influenced' by any political rhetoric it is is possible that he was influenced by the angry left, if that is indeed why he pulled the trigger.

Today's liberals are not blind to what they do: it's a conscious, albeit unprincipled strategy, right out of a book by Saul Alinsky, called : " Rules for Radicals ". This was the handbook of the New Left, and Hillary Clinton wrote a senior paper on it while in college. It's essentially Machiavelli for Marxists - make no agreement, except to tie your enemies hands, while you flout it, etc.
Obama - the community organizer - is another Alinskyite: he always began his Chicago campaigns by attempting to have his opponent's names removed from the ballot- an Alinsky tactic.
Alinsky was frankly corrupt in all his political advice to fellow radicals:

[...]
This morning on Canada AM, Joyce Arthur of the BC Pro-Choice Action Network drew a link between the stabbing and the election of Stockwell Day as leader of the Canadian Alliance (CA). Asked to speculate about the cause of the stabbing, Ms. Arthur said: 'We are also thinking about the fact that the right-wing momentum in Canada now with the recent election of Stockwell Day, or wondering if that gives an air of respectability to right-wing, more extremist views, perhaps, on these social issues like abortion, and perhaps encourages extremists to act out their beliefs.'"

----------
Dear Mr. Barbour:
I am more or less in the custody of law enforcement at present. I'm using a borrowed laptop in a bathroom, the only access I have to the outside world at the moment.
First of all, I would like to apologise to the people of Arizona, the United States and the world for the damage my son has done. My heart and prayers go [out to] Jared's many victims and their families. This is the worst nightmare that any mother can suffer, a son turned into a mass murderer.
I knew my son had mental problems. I attempted to deal with them as best I could. I even asked that Jared be placed in locked mental ward at one point. But my best efforts came to nothing. I did not know he had purchased a gun. I would have never allowed it in my home had I known.
What was I to do? Throw him on the street? He couldn't survive on his own. He couldn't hold a job. I am told by federal law enforcement that I'm being threatened with death as the mother of a monster. Death threats do not worry me. I have nothing to live for. I will be hounded for the rest of my life. Death would be mercy for me.
What drove Jared over the edge into murder? It could have been any number of things. I do know that [he] posted on Daily Kos under the name of "Blue Bell" or "Blueboy" ....blue something. I was curious about his postings on the Internet, and as he was using the family computer at this time, I looked at the "History" and discovered his interest in the Daily Kos website where much hate and profanity are displayed.
Please publish this Email. I want the world to know his mother knew nothing about an assassination plot. I want the world to know Jared's family are victims of his madness as well.
Yours, Amy Loughner

And what wouldn't people of the same ilk fake if this is a fake, and it probably is a fake?
(these people are lower than a snake's rectum)
The only motive I can think of for producing this fake is to poison the credibility off anybody passing this letter who had real true information that might show that radical Liberalism appealed to Jared Loughner, contrary to the meme that Sarah Palin and the Tea Party are somehow responsible.

Posted by: beagle at January 10, 2011 8:19 PMThere will be an economic cleansing of the western world in years to come.
The left will be the biggest loser when this occurs. Whole Liberal countries as we see in Europe, states as we see with California and cities as we see with Detroit are the canaries in the coal mine.
The Liberal left are the architects of their own defeat, the majority of them will not have the mental strength, physical means or practical thinking to weather such an event. Conservative thought and preparation for hard times will be the prevailing survivors of this economic and societal collapse.
Those that ridicule this concept are not seeing the obvious signs of decay and collapse around them. It’s not rational to accept that the current course that western countries are on as sustainable.
Runaway debt, consumer based economies with low productivity, over taxation to pay for millions of non producing peoples along with low skill service based employment is the tip of the iceberg. There are currently just over 300 million people in the US today. Over 45 million people are on food stamps. Another 40 million are minimum wage or under employed service labor. The open border to the south has estimates of close to a million unskilled, uneducated people streaming across every year now.
The largest economy in the world is under attack economically and socially from within and from abroad, and no one is standing up in any formidable way to stop the assault.
The people who cannot rationalize this, will have a very uncomfortable future to say the least. The majority of those I will put my money on is Liberal weenies who think they are building a Star Trek utopia. The Socialist Federation of Planets will one day meet the real world and it won’t be pretty.
Canadian Observer:
If you believe in government by the consent of the governed, you must accept political parties, for these emerge spontaneously when like-minded individuals work to influence government. The founders of the United States hoped to avoid "strife" caused by "factions", but in less than a generation we had the Federalists and the Democrats. That was no accident. Unless you are very wealthy, you cannot by yourself influence fellow citizens who live more than a few blocks away. To have real influence, you must combine with others of like mind and share the cost of advocacy. Take away the right to do that and you effectively silence almost everyone. Try to imagine our society without political parties... I mean really imagine it... and I think you'll see what I mean. Government decisions would still be made, but you and I would not be involved in the process.
Yes, our political system, like our legal system, is adversarial. We doubt that anyone can be trusted to make certain important decisions for us, so we let everyone speak, the saint and the knave alike, and then we take a vote. This reflects an awareness of human fallibility, a conservative idea that liberals like to overlook (except when they're talking about wealthy people). Letting everyone speak his mind can lead to a pretty revolting spectacle at times, but do we really have a choice?
Posted by: RSP at January 10, 2011 8:27 PMCorrection: Jefferson's party was actually called the "Republican" party in his day. Essentially agrarian, it evolved (I believe) into the modern Democratic Party by the time of Andrew Jackson, a generation later.

But seriously, everything is easier for the person who doesn't have to do it. How many on the left have demanding jobs and pay a lion's share of taxes? How many of them look after children and elderly relatives? Ordinary people do this everyday. They, sadly, are being affected by the left's economic naivety.
My e-mail to CTV News
Dear News Staff;
As late as last evening, I noted that your 11 broadcast made if not a direct, at least an implied connection to the Tucson AZ shootings, with Sarah Palin.
Within an hour of hearing of the tragedy, I was aware of the YouTube videos posted by the (alleged) shooter, Jared Loughner and understood that they were the ravings of a severely mentally unstable individual. Nowhere in his writings, nor in the recounting of anyone who knew him, was there a connection to his being influenced by Sarah Palin, the Republicans, or conservatives as represented by the American Teaparty movement.
Therefore I must conclude that your network is an unreliable source of news reporting and I will certainly make this known to as many people as possible. Because your staff is supposedly professional, I can only conclude that they are wilfully misleading the public by 'spinning' the available information to lead listeners to a conclusion not supported by the evidence.
In either case, your reports are unreliable and without credibility. And without credibility, what have you left?
Respectfully,
NB: You MUST be aware that both major parties have used a 'target' or 'crosshairs' graphic in urging their supporters to focus their electoral efforts on particular states. In neither case were politicians specifically named. Language from both parties is meant to rally their supporters, not as a literal directive - this is legitimate and normal discourse unless you assume that unlike yourselves, your listeners are unable to differentiate between analogy and directive.
No Guff:
Good letter. You nailed them, though by their standards, you've probably created a "climate of hate".

Posted by: Robert W. (Vancouver) at January 10, 2011 9:00 PMAs I watch this sh1tstorm evolve, I'm kind of liking what I see here.
We are seeing the usual suspects running in front of every camera they can find and screaming things that anyone can see are completely mad. A map graphic on a political website can make a guy go kill somebody? Its lunacy!
Clearly a massive over reach, clearly a massive over reaction, and CLEARLY the pot calling the kettle black, as that link from Michelle Malkin shows so well.
I have high hopes that this unseemly tantrum by the Left is going to leave them in the same place as gun control and global warming. Another failed scam.

True enough, and a good furthering of the point.
I think what I was trying to cryptically relay to anyone willing to listen, was that it would be prudent to make a few basic preparations for harder economic times ahead. The writing is on the wall so to speak, and rational people should prepare for this mentally, economically, even spiritually as much as within their means. It’s better to hope for the best but plan for the worst than sit back and simply hope everything sorts itself out.

Beagle:
Let's grant for the moment that DeLay has done something that merits his sentence (though the matter is under appeal). What exactly is your point? That some Republicans commit crimes? I don't think anyone here would dispute that, yet you drag the idea forward as though it were some sort of revelation. Your thesis as I've stated it is so banal that I can only conclude you have a grander concept in mind, one that would silence us all had we the intelligence to grasp it. So bear with us a moment. Spell it out for us, preferably in simple language with small words. What is your point?

The CBC's Neil MacDonald just went on a verbal rampage. He showed shots (whoops, sorry!) of numerous "right-wingers" voicing their vitriolic opinions and then opined that although people on the Left sometimes say intemperate things (without showing one raging Leftie) it's much more of a problem on the Right. 'Never occurs to the bigot, that his alleged bigger problem on the Right has a lot to do with the slanted lens through which he and his cronies in the media see and report things.
He interviewed Eleanor Clift, that intrepid, aging, predictable, Leftie harpy about freedom of expression and gun control. She was like his dummy, just spouting points from his script.
Posted by: batb at January 10, 2011 9:58 PMRSP - he has no point. It's a cry for help.
Posted by: Black Mamba at January 10, 2011 10:00 PMThe beagle is obviously just a weird little person looking for some attention.
I suppose once away from the keyboard they are the truly dangerous ones in society.
Oh well never mind.
RSP, don't feed the troll. If you ignore it, it will go away.

Media duped by Dupnik.
It will come back to bite them all.
They'll sacrifice all liberties, people, and property on their alter of Utopia; their false god. Ultimately they're just blind and selfish.
Posted by: David at January 10, 2011 10:33 PMMichelle Malkin's blog has an enormous list, with pictures, of the left's vicious and militant rhetoric and actual attacks.
Anti-Palin - and the left's rhetoric and images against Palin are truly shocking.
Anti-Bush - same thing. Promoting killing him and so on.
Anti-religious - attacking Christians who reject gay marriage;
Attacking those who reject illegal aliens and want legal immigration;
Anti-family, anti-those who reject abortion;
Anti-....well, you can imagine.
What is shocking is the violent hatred of these images and rhetoric, the intense calls for killing any and all who have a different opinion; the actual violence and attacks by the left on people, the smashing of stores, cars...
That's the left.
Posted by: ET at January 10, 2011 10:43 PMKnight, our culture of greed and stupidity have left the sensible stuck in the mud.
Michelle Malkin's list is very comprehensive. When the left was threatening to attack Sarah Palin and her family, it was thought as cute. Really?
I hope this hits the left in the face.
The marks used on the Sarah Palin site are the same ones used on Google Earth. Click on Google earth, put your cursor on the planet and push the left button, Voila!! The supposed Cross-Hairs
Posted by: Pat at January 11, 2011 12:09 AMjay forbes - Shakespeare you are not! There is no reason to quote from Shakespeare here. Do you know the context of your unacknowledged quote (called plagiarism in educated circles)?

Here's a tid bit I found yesterday on Drudge. It's not much, but it seems to shed some light on the mental state of some in his family. Judging by this reaction, I'd guess that the murdering Marxist creep isn't the only loon in the house.
"That is what interests me, but there hasn't been a word about his upbringing."

LOL the shrieky left screaming the "Right are panicking". Hardly but watching the progressive left go on a witch-hunt via Slime Stream Theather after law abiding citizens via the Tea Party is more than enough to wake up the middle class that the progressive left are unhinged loons that are out to drown civilized people without benifit of evidence or a trial. You showed the majority just how backward vicious and dangerous you are progressives, you played your hand just a wee bit to soon thankyou for that.

Is it still plagiarism if the quote is not spelled correctly?
"thous doest"?
Brilliant
