A CBC Poll Goes Horribly Wrong

It's just possible that an extra surge of votes could put anti-long-gun registry* "Game Changer" Candice Hoeppner over the top.

Done. And thank you for being a voice of sanity in the long gun registry debate, MP Candace Hoeppner.

Posted by: dmorris at December 10, 2010 3:43 PM

Candace Hoepner currently in second place, at 30.37%/2,343 votes, with Wikileaks in the lead with 30.6%/2,,361 votes.

C'mon, SDA'ers! Do your civic duty and vote for Hoepner, the anti-long-gun registry candidate! Let's make our voices heard at the CBC Min. of Propaganda!

And one other thing CBC, have a poll on whether Marc Lepines's real name should be used in news storys from now on, not his sanitized French name for Grahib or whatever his name was.

Over The Top she is with 31. @ 4:06PM

Always an enjoyable exercise.

Bartinsky, that would be your Gamil Gharbi.
Son of an Algerian Muslim.etc.etc.etc.

Now 32 at 4:37 PM (EST)

32.22% at the moment. Just slightly ahead of the pack.

Posted by: Louise at December 10, 2010 4:43 PM

Happy to help this thing along in the right direction.

Posted by: Colin from Mission B.C. at December 10, 2010 5:05 PM

maybe the CBC will be more careful with their polls next time. I agree with bartinsky, too!

Posted by: sonofAtilla at December 10, 2010 5:14 PM

More than happy to skew their results but always feel I need a shower after being on their website.

Posted by: Rick Rae at December 10, 2010 5:25 PM

and another successful "surge" ...

Posted by: marc in calgary at December 10, 2010 5:38 PM

as one commenter on there asked, why is wikileaks in that poll??

Posted by: GYM at December 10, 2010 5:41 PM

why is Rae on the list---guy will do anything to get his pic in the news. I know him.

Posted by: robert saw at December 10, 2010 5:44 PM

She's way ahead of #2 now.
It's a meaningless, CBC, small mind poll. But it is soooo satisfying to see the effect that SDA has on media.

"But it is soooo satisfying to see the effect that SDA has on media. "

and it's all done without a $900 million budget!

Posted by: ChrisinMB at December 10, 2010 6:36 PM

Naheed Nenshi 22.82% (1,920 votes)

Candice Hoeppner 34.78% (2,927 votes)

Posted by: andycanuck at December 10, 2010 7:03 PM

Just cast my vote for Candice who is now at 35.34% (1st place).

Posted by: Alain at December 10, 2010 8:01 PM

36.66 at 7pm.

Posted by: ridenrain at December 10, 2010 9:59 PM

Must be the CBC "Holiday" party...nobody is checking to see if SDA has taken over the poll.
I expected it to be closed earlier.

Posted by: bluetech at December 10, 2010 10:57 PM

I don't usually link to CBC polls anymore. They have a habit of coming up with thousands of instant votes.

why would I register my rifle again?
bureaucratic fundraising at it's worst, trying to propagate Cretins folly

I guess there aren't too many people from BC who frequent the CBC site as I thought that Bill VanderZalm would have been the most significant person in that list given the success of his anti-HST petition here. Also, VanderZalm was probably responsible for getting rid of moonbat Campbell.

Posted by: loki at December 11, 2010 2:47 AM

Willy VanderZalm lost it years ago! He lost my support when he voted for Meech Lake. When I asked him why he voted for it his response was "I owe it to Canada because they took us in". That was the depth of his thinking.

Posted by: ct at December 11, 2010 10:05 AM

Candice 39%

Hear us roar........

Posted by: sasquatch at December 11, 2010 12:24 PM

Way late to the party, Kate, but the poll is still up and I voted for Hoeppner.

However, loki is right. The game changer in that list is Vander Zalm. Whatever he did or didn't do in the past, his current activity led to the ouster of a sitting provincial premier.
