James Burke is a British broadcaster, science historian, author, and television producer known for his Connections and The Day the Universe Changed documentary television series, which focused on the history of science & technology, leavened with a sense of humour. The various series traced paths of invention & discovery through their interrelationships in history, and explored the philosophical aspects of scientific change on Western culture.
